Yeah he asked about infinite combos in the other decks and then pulled out a deck with 3 combos and multiple tutors. I love watching these guys play but the power was definitely skewed
Seemed like the rule 0 talk escalated things to that point, it started with inserting "fast mana," into a precon thats honestly already pretty decent, then switching to more powerful commanders to compensate, making it more reasonable to switch to dina
I'll be honest, its a cool show but some decisions, plays, actions are questionable.

I like how in every rule 0 discussion everyone is just trying to downplay their degeneracy. "you know.. its like a basic infinite smallish combos with guaranteed turn two win whatever no big deal its chill"

Yeah Lynch would have had a better chance to run away with the game if he got his triggers right. Izzet triggers are tough to keep track of, though.
Also they already wanted to kill him (and nearly did) due to the threat he was with the missed triggers, if he wasn't missing the double trigger they'd have ended him way sooner anyway

I know there's always complaints but in every commander table at a LGS mistakes happens often. This show has that real feel
There was a guy recently that had said this deck was a bunch of stuff he had sitting around he wanted to play with. Combos on turn 3 says that rarely happens. Try again and he does it on turn 4 this time.
Facts! It's literally what drew me in! It's like playing with my friends but with more expensive decks LOL!
This was truly a chaos game. Noone killing anyone to let the shenanigans continue. Lol I've had a few of these games myself. Love the show. Thanks guys!

The missed trigger copies from Veyran and Sunbird's Invocaiton drove me nuts as a Veyran player! Love the game, and it's a lot of stuff to keep track of, but never forget! Veyran's nasty!

I saw this too and was like, NOOOOOOOO. It should be 1 plus the number of instants and sorceries he had cast, 1 + 1 for Dig + 1 for Cultivate + 1 for Rise. 4 tokens created, 5 Kokushos, 4 die, drain all opponents for 20, def GG.
I built a Kokusho deck to go with my fav card in EDH: Blade of Selves. I also have Mirrorpool, Mirror of the Forebears, and Mirage Mirror, and I used to run Minion Reflection duplicate effects are few in black but they're awesome with Kokusho.
Reanimate effects, obviously, but also "Pre-animate" effects like Feign Death, Kayas Ghostform, Supernatural Stamina, Abnormal Endurance, Malakir Rebirth, etc.
"I am bad at magic. We are bad at magic." - still, one of the few channels where the participants have the funniest and jankiest moments and discussions. I love it so much, because it shows that this game has room for every skill level. So ... even for me!
That first Etali trigger had me shouting at the screen! Lynch, you get to exile the top of your deck as well, also, I think you could have placed the altar last on the stack, sac all your creatures, and living death the heck out of the table!
They're true to bringing the lgs experience to the screen. That erotic cyclops conversation is identical to something my play group would have
I relate to this a lot, probably because I'am the person in our LGS that usually starts these kind of conversations xD
Best commander channel on youtube. Always genuinely entertaining and lighthearted, but still some badass decks. Love it guys. The real spirit of the game right here.

I felt so bad for Jacob because he got no ramp in the early game, so I was REALLY mentally wishing he drew a Cultivate. Well, as it turns out, TWO other players cast HIS Cultivate, and he DOESN'T.

Well he didnt at any point play his commander and he had the mana, and he could have brought something better than elvish piper...I was very confused about that. Any card in his library full of creatures....why that one
He probably had something in mind to work with piper. He deck actually worked well to a Atla deck (without Atla)

Life gain from Remembrance occurs after the creatures die, so Joseph wouldn't get to use Dina and Vito to generate more drain after they've already died from Lynch's attack by the time the triggers start resolving.

They look completely different to me. Which is great! Better to do something new than to copy something that is already there for everyone to watch if they want to.

But srsly, if you use Dina and you say you got like 3 or 4 cards that combo out with Dina or Exquisite blood.. and you even got tutors for it, then i think you should already admit that that deck is more fine-tuned than at least the decks of your guests.
Also, i would love to see that Tuya Bearclaw deck, gruul will always be solid man. And scourge of the throne will probably be in it anyway :p
That's true:black tutor,infinite combo, especially with the commander made the deck already better than the others. Luckily, lifegain decks get pretty focused due to having,most of the times,the highest life total,even though not having anything too scary on the board

Yeah Joe downplaying the power level of his deck wasn't cool, but everyone was fine on their end. I'd say his was around 8-9 level power because I don't believe it was a cEDH deck but close.
That's the only issue I had with this rule 0 convo, the downplaying of Joe's power level in his deck

It's really incredible that your channel is called 'i HATE your deck' and started with an audience of people watching decks just completely shut the table off, and now you spend 1-4minutes showing pregame convo. THIS! THIS channel is what Commander needs/wants/thrives on! The format EXISTS on Rule0 happening. Otherwise, it's cEDH and "PlayToWin" is a great channel but that's for high competitive, cutthroat, same-20-cards-infinitum! "I just like playing paper magic with my friends" is a mantra! Lynch, thank you for your constant commitment to creating the best space for Commander and MTG content, and Joe, you're constantly brutal and adding energy to the show while still holding the humble and friendly demeanor that Commander thrives upon! Love you guys! Keep creating and growing!

i feel like all the people in the comments saying the power levels of the decks being too imbalanced are exaggerating a bit. joe likes playing low to the ground creature decks so naturally he's often gonna get off to a fast, threatening start. dude didn't tutor once for any of those combo pieces and even if he did, the combo would have almost assuredly been disrupted. lynch had a fast start as well thanks to mana crypt which is probably in everyone's deck but no one else happened to have it in their opener. in every game at every power level there's usually one or two players who pull ahead of the rest. if the power levels were off then joe would have just steam rolled everyone and won, but the other players decks could hang and they fought back and took him down. i thought the game was great and everyone got the chance to do their thing. ggs!

Wanted to point out that Joe has been misusing Veto/Dina.
Veto/Dina's trigger does not occur if it's dead and the life gain is a trigger on the stack.
IE. Bastion of remembrance (when creature dies and drain 1 + gain 1) on the field and a board wipe happens. If you have bastion and veto/dina on the field, when the board wipe happens, creatures die and bastion triggers go on the stack. When the stack starts resolving, Veto/Dina is not on the field, so it cannot deal damage.

I don't know if that is some weird thing with my speakers, but during the game there were a few moments when I could hear a really loud and bass-y background noise. Dunno if that could be solved with a simple noise canceller on post-production or not, but it's just a heads up :)
