Was a great game but wrong person won by mistakes
Liliana has "Whenever a creature you control dies, draw a card" and it doesn't look like it's a "may" effect. Just a heads up, but Janel should have been milled out a little bit sooner.

THANK YOU! Fuck, not only is the owner of Liliana forgetting the BEST PART of her abilities, not one other person noticed either, so there's 4 people not RTFC when it comes to Liliana. Janel should have lost a long time ago. I've never seen mistakes this bad before where it leads to a completely different winner. Hell, I swear there were turns when Janel didn't even activate one of Lili's loyalty abilities either. She played really, really badly.

You seemed like you were nervous and rushing through your turns. You should take your time and make sure to do your best not to miss triggers. But glad you had fun!
@@spartanboosts Wasn’t nerves but I definitely didn’t know my Meren deck as well as I do now! Lynch is an excellent director & editor so never felt a need to rush. I will say, I built a pretty dank Liliana, Heretical Healer deck with lots of Liliana planeswalkers so you better believe I am tracking those triggers diligently now :)
Great job! Don’t forget that Meren lets you return the creature to your hand if it’s CMC is more than your experience counters!

This episode is just Higher explaining to people all their lines and I love it. Lynch is just trying to throw Bombs and Higher is sitting there with all the numbers and algorithms floating around his head 😂😂
The Rule Zero conversation you guys have is being implemented at other LGS's in my state and other play groups and it is just super awesome to see!!
They weren't the first to think of it but they've definitely made it more popular. Every game of spelltable I've played this month had a really good rule 0 convo. It was much friendlier than when I played on Spelltable like 6 months ago

Normally I love that facet of this channel, but to me, it felt like Lynch was being disingenuous about the power level of his deck this time. I mean, without seeing the decklists I can't be sure, but it sure seemed like everyone was taken by surprise when Lynch dropped Mana Crypt and Fierce Guardianship. He didn't win and everyone seemed to mostly be having a good time, so maybe it doesn't really matter.
I just don't want to see Lynch slip into the pubstomping shoes Joe always wore.
@@Danteninjaful those are pretty common cards though ive seen multiple times on this show. Why does it seem over powered for this table?
@@mikephillips1043 I’m no expert at body language by any means, but it just felt, to me, that the table was a little surprised that he dropped those. Maybe it’s my years of being sarcastic and doing my best to hide salt (because I know it’s not cool but I can’t help how i feel) that gave me that vibe, I don’t know.
Janel lost due to Liliana ,dreadhorde general when a creature she controlled died she should have drew cards and lost...
She missed almost every Liliana trigger this game lol

Not sure if anyone caught this but the stag was actually a 5/4 at the time of fighting meren at the beginning, so it wouldn't have died and wouldn't have returned with ravos to kill bruvac to stop lynch from winning

I wrote it below. I hate saying someone is cheating when it's a mistake, but it was super suspicious that he immediately remembered the +1/+1 the next turn and didn't forget the rest of the game. It's almost like he wanted to double up

I know I'm waaay late but lynch wouldn't have won anyway. He'd had just milled the card that made him shuffle his graveyard in his library and then swung out at lynch and killed him in a couple turns.
The irony of Lynch saying, "You only live once" as he casts his commander for the second time has me rolling
When Janel is sacrificing the 2 zombie token creatures with Liliana Dreadhorde General on the field doesn't she have to draw because of the static ability of Liliana and she would have had zero cards to draw so when it went back to her final turn she would have drawn out and lost?
Regardless, such a fun episode to watch and love the gameplay and dynamics from all the players! Can't wait for season 2 episode 3 ❤
Yes, I agree. She should’ve died before lynch because she had that on the field forever and liliana should’ve milled her out from her creatures dying.

Janel was missing triggers with her meren too. The experience counters on care about putting stuff in play. She has to target every turn and put it in her hand if the CMC is not equal to experience counters
I’m not sure Janel fully gets how Meren works. She can choose any creature she wants in her graveyard and it doesn’t have to be less than or equal to experience counters. I noticed when she first brought Meren out after she milled half her library, she never grabbed a creature at the end step. Still a fun episode though!
She should have popped the sac right away.
As a Meren player, this was a little painful to watch, lol. With so many things in her grave, there should be answers to everything on the table.

I love the modular narset. I have a mono red chaos commander deck. It's just good red stuff with a bunch of legendary creatures. At the beginning of the game I shuffle and reveal till I hit a commander

This week I start my first job in 3 years and I can't wait to continue supporting you guys through Patreon. Fighting for disability really makes you cherish every penny you have to your name, and I'm super glad that my first paycheck back in the workforce is gonna have a small amount going to IHYD. So much going on with this table I'm personally impressed you all kept up with the triggers so well! As for the stuff you missed, all four players missed em and you were the ones piloting so it's ridiculous that spectators in the comments are getting huffy! Keep up the great work IHYD
