Jake assembled the infinity gauntlet and then practically summoned exodia with all those eldrazi titans. Insane.
That deck was brutal and quite possibly very expensive.
@@MrThomasCWest he did definitely bling it out with duals and stuff, but it doesnt have any reserved list cards besides the duals so its not thaaat expensive for mtg lol, and def a sick deck
Remember when Zara whiffed? Those draws must’ve been a nasty sequence to get 3 titans in hand (granted kozilek’s draw 4 but still)
@@MrThomasCWest We proxy those.
@@davidolinger3948 his deck with foils, duals, and all is about 5-6k as it stands, HOWEVER, removing the duals and picking the cheapest possible printings brings it down to about 1600. Still a hefty sum for a deck, but within reason for a high power EDH list.
I love it when they asked "when did this go wrong?" and Jimmy just casually replies "Turn 4- as he shuffles half of his deck in his hands-".
More like when did this go Wong 😎
@@fatcatsgoneblack Touché.
I never seen things gone wrong so fast :)
The moment Jimmy had two Consecrated Sphinxes out, my first thought was "I bet you he's gonna deck himself". Then when the 3rd came out, I was 100% sure.
LOL yep. After 1 round of him drawing 13 cards a round, I was like why is he still drawing cards?
Also dropping that pact of negation. oof.
Me too, whenever i see a consecrated sphinx i start counting deck size lol
The best part is that Jimmy didn't even have to keep drawing with the sphinxes, and yet he deliberately chose to do so.
He got way too greedy.
@@SirGrimLockSmithVIII I might be wrong, but last time I checked that card it doesn't give you the option to decline the card draw.
Edit: I looked it up, it is a "may" draw. Then Jimmy got greedy😂
@@Basap1zti23 You "may" decline, but you "won't". Think of the value!
Jimmy, every game: “I flew too close to the sun.” Jimmy, the next game: “It’s sunbathing time.”
This fast paced game was a lot of fun to watch. The ending was very much not expected.
Vtubers, magic content, cooking channels. We basically watch the same things because I keep seeing your comments 😅. Keep up the good content btw!
Jesus @ChefPK why do I see you everywhere?! It’s like we have the same tastes! Next I’ll see you in Critical roll comments
okay I need to know Chef, what deck(s) do you play?
My for you page is communicating with each other AWESOME!!
@CHEFPK this is like the 5th time I’ve seen you in the comments of a video here. It great to see you are a man of culture.
24:18 Jimmy: "I'm just gonna start doing this with 2d6" - uses 2d10, 1d20, and 1d8
The "I hope he doesn't get mana screwd" just before the cut was peak comedy
I think Jimmy has a history of that
When Jimmy had over 100 copies of scute swarm I was waiting for someone to break out the rakdos charm. The way it happened was even better though!
Now hear me out though:
Massacre Wurm
I was hoping Jimmy had a finisher !
Jimmy died doing what Josh loves the most, drawing cards like an absolute madman.
Jake won doing what Ashlen loves to do as well cast a lot of Eldrazi.
The second Jake said "Annihilator Alligator" I prayed he would win.
Right!
whos the first?🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣😂😅😆😁😏😑😐😥😭😭😭😭
I love how everyone was like “ok I will draw for turn…”
And Jimmy with his two consecrated sphinxes was like “ ok I’ll draw 4”
And no one even cared lol
They cut out a lot of me whining about no one addressing Jimmy's board!
@@JordanPridgen good to hear!
"Ok I'll draw 4 turn"
@@JordanPridgen the deal we heard didn't include your commander so maybe you could have attacked with it although maybe some of the deal was lost in the edit.

That moment ashlen heard Jake say " I have two opponents " and realized she was an opponent . Lol priceless face she made lol
Extra Turns is really my fav content on the channel. I know and 100% understand and support that these guys have to go big to grow and maintain, but I'm glad this type of content still exist on the channel.
Same bro
Yeah I love Extra Turna
If I recall Extra Turns was created in response to having such a massive growth spike :D, it's a pared down version of their Game Knights, so it's a very welcome complement to the main series.
I’ve gravitated towards fast less produce content like this lately. I’m currently in love with I Hate Your Deck
I feel like every time It That Betrays has been played on Game Knights or Extra Turns it has ended up getting stolen. Very on theme
Well it’s in the name
Shouldn't It That Betrays go back to Jake's hand at the beginning of Ashlen's end step?
@@fblthpsizzlingsuffrokats2348 No, it's the same principle as Obeka. By waiting until the next end step, the end of turn trigger goes on the stack, then using Sundial of the Infinite ends the turn before it can resolve. Because it's already tried to reolve that part of the ability, and Zara only tries to return it at the beginning of the next end step, not every end step, Zara's effect has completely run its course without the return to hand part being able to apply
@@Valkhyron Wow you've just cleared up years of me misunderstanding this interaction. Hahaha and to think the Inalla precon was my first deck. Even added Sundial to it thinking it was such value, keeping tokens around for one more turn.
Thanks!
22:30 the prismatic vista should go to jordans side of the board :)
So should the mystic remora when the upkeep was not payed
Was wondering if anyone else saw this, although I'm only halfway through the game so no idea if it will matter
@@zacariahvangemert7000 he loses one draw from a teferi's protection - who knows if this would have stopped the eldrazi horde!!??!!
@@jimcook7053 likely not, but we'll never know! That certainly was a sizeable horde of spaghetti monsters
7:56 best mountain artwork I’ve ever seen
Someday I hope to be as talented as that artist
Lol. When i saw him get a clone from volo of that sphinx. I knew he was gonna deck himself. Drawing cards man always gets you.
At 8:50 Ashlen plays a wasteland, but at at 9:17 It becomes an island so she can cast a voidslime and then changes back to a wasteland at 10:37 :P
nice catch
I always relate to how Jimmy plays, he plays big and then makes the same kind of mistakes I make as far as leaving up answers. Keep your chin up, Jimmy, that was awesome!
Just know Jimmy, Josh is proud of you for choosing to fly as you did.
Legit do not understand why Jimmy discarded his counter spell in that position. When you have the ability to win on board the single most important thing in that position is to not let it slip from you so you want as many counters as you can get.
He must have lost on purpose. Drawing that many cards is nonsense and discarding the counterspell is such a bad play for an experienced player. But great for the show I guess ;)
Love these commander choices, and can’t wait to see how they interact!
Well watch the video 😂
Gang gang cuh
Who would knew that a 5 color good stuff deck would have an answer for everything
I built Jodah and specifically forbid myself from putting any eldrazi in it, and i am very happy with how it came together
I made one as well! Take a look:
For creatures: Zacama, Avacyn, Jegantha, Archon of valor's reach, blazing archon, Faeburrow elder
Artifacts and enchantments: fist of suns, omniscience, sunbird's invocation, Zendikar ressurgent, Mirari's wake
For instants and sorceries: The 5 wedge Ultimatums (ruinous, genesis, eerie, inspired, emergent) conflux, enter the infinite, terminus, reshape the earth, army of the damned, painful truths, in garruk's wake, Cyclonic rift, apex of power...
These are just the important cards. The rest is mostly control, protections, removal and ramp. Notably Mana confluence, Cascading cataracts, Chromatic lantern, Chromatic orrery and some of the modal dual lands from Zendikar rising, but ramp is ramp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Dile0303 i like that, we certainly have some common cards in there i recommend you consider the myojins(the grixis ones) they are so gross in a jodah run haha, happy casting!
I did this as well. I've focused on free spells with a lot of cascade triggers and basically every Nicol Bolas card in the game, because, why not?
I'm building Jodah and have to keep telling myself not to put Morophon in there but man the temptation is strong
@@BaconJake14bro why not? I'd say fuck it, put it in!
Man what a great pod to bring a theft deck into. 2 decks trying to cast absolute massive spells, perfect for thievery
Those decks were sick, too bad we didn’t get to see Ashlyn’s pop off as much as the others
It happens though. I have played so many games where two or three people start popping off with their decks and one person just gets left in the dust because of luck of the draw.
The “honey, you’ve got a big swarm coming “ reference WAS AMAZING 🤩 😂 I love it so much
8:49 This really is Magic, Ashlen's waste was transformed into an island to be able to use the counter, then in her turn, it became a waste again and in an image transition it became an island again
Didn't notice that at first, but now that you mention it she had double blue somehow right when it was relevant... 🤔
This was absolutely disgusting. They literally helped her cheat in post production. The Command Zone promotes cheating with content like this. Not cool at all.
If you double check the tapped lands, it actually looks like a tapped island was swapped with the wastes. I'm wondering if they had a "mind if I tap my mana differently moment" in person that they just cut out of the video.
@@TheKingLunar Except she couldn't've tapped her mana differently to have the Island untapped.
@@heikothedwarf So, if she had changed her sequencing it could have been possible.
Actual sequence used was:
• Tap [Island] [Island] [Forest] [Tropical Island] to cast [Thran Dynamo]
• Tap [Thran Dynamo] to cast [Simic Signet]
• Play [Wastes] as land for turn
• Usable mana at end of turn: [Eldrazi Scion Token] for 1 colorless, [Wastes] for 1 colorless, [Simic Signet] can be activated for 1 to get UG
• This sequence, as performed in the video, results in the Voidslime being uncastable
The turn could be resequenced to the following:
• Play [Wastes] as land for turn
• Tap [Island] [Forest] [Wastes] [Tropical Island] to cast [Thran Dynamo]
• Tap [Thran Dynamo] to cast [Simic Signet]
• Useable mana at end of turn: [Eldrazi Scion Token] for 1 colorless, [Island] for 1 U, [Simic Signet] can be activated for 1 to get UG
• This sequence allows the necessary mana, UUG, to make Voidslime castable
This means the actual play could have at least been possible given the components, it just results in completely reordering the entire turn sequence. Obviously without being there when the game was played or being in the editing room, we can only speculate on what actually happened among numerous possibilities.
• Maybe she asked about the possibility to reorder the plays as described above, table agreed so she swaps place of [Wastes] and [Island], and this was edited out of the final video. The [Island] and [Wastes] then swapped back to their original places off camera after casting due to personal preference of land organization.
• Could be that it was a mistake of thinking/assuming the right mana was there, not confirming that assumption, and improperly casting the card without any of the table realizing. Everyone in my playgroup has definitely done something akin to this at least once (although we're pretty good at catching it and rolling back/adjusting things as needed). It can be easy sometimes to get swept up thinking you've got a great play-not to mention the full-art Zendikar basics making it easier to mistake one land for another (been there before). For whatever reason, post-production decides instead of pointing out the mistake, they'll just swap the cards to make to play look correct. It's a weird decision to make; it could have been them trying to adhere to their fast-paced, constantly moving forward style they want for this series (versus a show like I Hate Your Deck where editing for speed is pretty minimal and talk of misplays and take-backs is left in), and they just made the call to do it for that reason. Not the decision I would have made but 🤷♂️.
• There's the possibility proposed previously: that it could have been a case of willingly cheating out the spell, followed by the editing decisions described in the previous case. I'd be pretty surprised if that were the case, if only for how bold of a move that would be to purposefully attempt on camera. Not to mention it just feels out of character-albeit that's my personal feeling based on second-hand experience (other video content).
And of course it could be some other combination of events not even proposed above. Again, we'll never know for sure unless someone comes out and says what happened. Regardless of the exact details, the way the final edit comes out definitely does Ashlyn dirty, because without any explanation offered the blame inherently goes on her.
TLDR: There's several explanations for what could have happened. We won't know for sure what happened without someone saying, but if it wasn't deliberate, the poor editing choice of just ignoring it makes her (possibly unfairly) look bad.
Shout-out to my brain for hyperfocusing on this comment for the last hour 😂. It's really out here prioritizing 1 minute of a casual MTG game which ultimately isn't really that big of a deal. Can tell my morning ADHD meds have worn off haha
Never realised that Twinning Staff worked with Volo. For some reason, I always thought it was Instant and Sorcery spells
Volo copying permanent spells is new and weird. Twinning Staff works, but normal token doublers like Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, and Adrix and Nev don't, since they copies enter as tokens, but those tokens aren't being "created".
Would love more of these fast paced explosive games, thats why I fell in love with this channel
Idk why jimmy always plays himself. He could’ve saved himself so well. When you have a board like that your whole hand should be counters
Yea he was drawing 4 per turn too so theres only himself to be mad at
or not casting the two mana exile a green card exile two artifacts or enchantments when having so many extra cards to discard
Yeah ultimately the greed got him I have a rule not to leave less than 40 in my library getting decked is sad.
how did he not keep 2-3 counterspells lol or have a card which gives you unlimited hand size??!!??
@@jimcook7053 yeah for sure a reliquary tower or a thought vessel would have won that game ez. I think jimmy likes to play fair magic though.
Love the commanders in this episode, and love extra turns in general. Keep up the great work guys!
Well that victory was so unexpected
Jimmy: “This was a fun one.”
Turn 3 Vorlo
Turn 4 Double Sphinx
Yeah, that’s why it was fun. Lol
"oh no, ive flown too close to the sun" slayed me. Oh jimmy 😂
What a game! I love how quickly it got chaotic
According to what the audience can see, Ashlen's voidslime was not a legal cast.
Ashlen only had 1 colorless, 1 green, and 1 blue, after tapping her wastes to tap simic signet, and sacrificing her scion.
Yes, it actually was a legal cast. She had one island untapped, sacrificed the scion to get one colorless. She used the colorless to filter into Simic signet, which gives her one green and one blue, giving her a total of two blue and one green, which is the cost of Voidslime.
No she did not have an island untapped. That was a wastes untapped.
That's what I call a REAL Finale of Devastation ;) ;) ;) (not even spoiling the ending)
I love that the black deck box in the back at the beginning was my first it just floods back memories of highschool and the shop I loved as a teen
this is the most entertaining channel on youtube hahaha i love these commander fights. ty Jimmy and Josh and Ashlynn
Wow I have decks with 3 outta 4 of these Commanders. Excited to see your different brews.
Which deck don’t you have?
@@poutinemcflurry3544 no Esix
man look at that 24:40 jimmy discarding a sylvan library when he could draw up to 3 card in the draw step
No offense to the other commander channels but game knights and extra turns is still the absolute best and most entertaining to watch. The production value and work you all put into the show is incredible!
Things like Scute Swarm are the reason Deathbringer Regent has become one of my favorite cards in the game, makes life a lot easier when people have to start using dice to keep track of their tokens.
Jimmy flew too close to the Blue Sun 😂😂
Ya beat me to it…🤣🤣
I love the Morophon and Jodah combo. I added the exact same one into my Tiamat deck a few days ago. Haven't gotten to test it out yet, but the results have proven to be effective!
I prefer Fist of Suns, because of Infinity Gaunlet
@@Asderios Fair enough, but Fist of Suns is around 15 dollars (the prices on cards are different in Canada, so idk if that's true in the U.S.), and I got Jodah for 3.
I love games where the winner comes back from the edge of death! Awesome to watch!
Love watching these guys play super competitive decks once in a while
jake at 17:03 "how did we let this happen? at what point did we go wrong?" MATE IT WAS YOU AND YOUR PRAMIKON STOPPING IT THAT BETRAYS FROM ATTACKING THE PROBLEM PLAYER
Nah, It That Betrays should have returned to Jake's hand at the end of Ashlen's turn. That misplay recoloured the entire game.
ETA: This is false. Jordan activated Sundial not during MP2, but rather in response to ITB's trigger.
@@ceulgai2817 Zara states that it only returns to hand at the beginning of the NEXT end step, so no, that's not how that works. Once it checks at Jordan's end step, it never checks again because the next end step has already happened.
@@dasdrifter12 Oh shit, it's taken me three months to hear Jordan announce that he's activating Sundial *in response* to the ITB trigger, rather than during MP2. Thank you, Internet stranger!
That was WILD. This makes me so hungry for more in person commander.
Really cool seeing Jake take the W. All the decks were so cool to watch! Great episode
This episode is just haymaker after haymaker. Fantastic stuff!!! Loved the episode.
Poor Jordan still could've attacked with Zara at Ashlen when Pramikon came out. The deal was only for the ITB!
Why is Parallel Lives in Jimmy's deck? It doesn't interact with Volo. The creature spell copy doesn't create a token, it instead enters the battlefield itself as a token, which isn't the same as creating a token, which is what token doublers would care about.
Scute Swarm and likely had other Token makers in the deck.
He might run Hornet Queen and other token makers, that will make a ton of tokens
Good point bro
I now see that he has other cards that create tokens, which makes sense 😁
How cards live volo or lithoform enging work is that copies become tokens so it does actually interact with volo (i’m 99% sure)
So much fun to watch. Jimmy's deck was going off hot and then some! Jake's 2 card combo to cast Eldrazi for free was a Timmy's dream come true!
One of the most explosive games on the channel! Jam packed value all the way
A little confused how Ashlen was able to voidslime at 10:03, but I'm assuming that instead of playing a wastes she decided to play an island. This would be useful to know because she definitely did play that wastes. We did see that there is an island, but just would've been useful to know that she exchanged the wastes for an island
the waste is seen tapped so it looks like the ol' casual land swap, done off camera
@@derf909 Yes, but the thing is if you go back to 8:48 she had to tap all her lands to cast the thran dynamo, and the she tapped the thran dynamo to cast the simic signet. So, if she untapped her island, that was tapped to play thran dynamo, and tapped the wastes that she played after playing thran dynamo, that's technically an illegal move because the wastes came in after the island was tapped.
Edit: It does look like she did this, so I think that jake should've been able to activate Sisay and Ashlen did something that she shouldn't have been able to do.
@@solorider66 she played a waste but must have taken it back. And played a forest instead. It was just edited out.
@@solorider66 The swap in seen on Jimmy's turn so she must have done in on her end step or something before it actually made a difference to the game, completely fine in a casual format. Different case if she had actually made the swap during Jake's turn
@@hallowblade6953 I don't think we're seeing the same things. Go to 8:48 and look at her tapped lands. There's a forest and 3 islands. These lands were tapped to play the thran dynamo. After the thran dynamo and the simic signet were played, she played the wastes. If you then go to when she countered the 2nd edit: activated (not triggered) ability, she had the exact same lands, but an island was untapped and the wastes was tapped. This means she just basically got a free island for a colorless mana because she tapped the island before the wastes was in play.
Edit: There was no taking a land back for turn because her land for turn was the wastes. So, she just exchanged a blue mana for a colorless mana. There was no misplay. She just did it.
This is what happens when you fly to close to the Blue Sun's Zenith Jimmy. 😂
This was such a delightful game. Ya'll are so much fun to watch
“I’m Jordan Pridgen, and today, I don’t have a plan.” -Quote of the episode
Jimmy drew his whole deck. Jordan draws 2 from Mulldrifter. Jimmy: "wow!" 😁
Love seeing Zara get some love! Currently working on a polymorph list with my opponent's creatures as the fodder.
Love that idea! I've got Protean Staff in the deck and it's fantastic!
@@JordanPridgen ah, a man of culture I see
Man, we rarely got to see an explosive game like this! Very good engines, veery good plot twist with eldrazi horde, and very damn good game!
I am mentally 12 and I found myself chuckling when Ashlen Krosan Gripped Jimmy's Twinning Staff.
9:57 doesn't Ashlyn not have the mana to cast voidslime? She sacs a scion and uses that 1 mana to pay for simic signet, leaving her with UG in her mana pool. Am I missing something?
That’s what I saw too so I don’t know how she played a three mana spell for two mana
She payed the signet with it.
@@LeKrutes The signet costs 1 to activate, and provides 2 mana when activated. She had 1 eldrazi scion (which provides 1 mana when sacrificed. That's 3 mana total (in the colors 1UG, which can't even pay for voidslime), but she used 1 to activate the signet.
I thought the same but it looks like an editing error. If you look at 9:26, she also has an untapped island during Jimmy's turn. She must have tapped it off screen but she did have the mana for Voidslime.
She magically had her wastes transformed into an island and then the island magically transformed into wastes again
I was actually rooting for Jimmy. I run a Simic Clone deck myself and his deck resonated with me a bit. A word of advice for Jimmy, he needs to put Reminisce, Clear The Mind, Learn From The Past, and Elixir Of Immortality in his deck to prevent self-mill like that. A Gaea's Blessing would go a long way to stop external mill. Also, a Daring Apprentice or other such creature to clone the crap out of so you can have counterspells on sticks, as it were. Good game, though. I really enjoyed it.
Great match guys! Thank you for another kick ass episode!
Great Game! super excited for the deck boxes to come in! even if they are a little delayed...Wishing you guys well from Portland!
Would love to see the bridge as the commander and see where someone goes with that.
I actually use it as the commander for my god deck, it works wonders
One neat thing about the bridge is that if you're willing to commit to any single creature or planeswalker in the deck, you can make anything your commander! And there's a bunch of interesting other things I've seen done with it as well.
Jake read the situation well but I would have probably tried to hold off on replaying Pramikon asking that the other two opponents both attack jimmy and cut his board state down some.
I don't think he was loving his annihilation coming back at him lol
this is hands down the craziest wildest most epic commander game i´ve ever witnessed
awesome last prismatic bridge trigger. Topdecking the exact card you need and win feels amazing.
4 Blue decks, and 3 Green? This should be... interesting.

Adrix and Nev don't work with Volo's trigger. It worked with the Scutes but seems like a nombo in most situations.
He might run Hornet Queen and other token makers, that will make a ton of tokens
All of his various copy token effects are probably why it's in the deck, copied tokens can be doubled
Pretty sure it was an ETB token deck with stuff like Avenger of Zendikar and Hornet Queen so although it doesn't synergize with Volo it does when they etb a 2nd time.
Sure. Card works with a bunch of token makers but doesn't work with the commander. That is my point. Not right or wrong. Just Adrix does not work with Volos in case anybody sees this list.

One of the best episodes so far. Jakes bling was impressive 🤩
Love you guys I’m addicted to game knights. Best production in the format
Doesn't Biovisionary not work with Volo? Since Volo is a Human Wizard, he wouldn't be able to copy Biovisionary. If I'm wrong please tell me, I love learning new rules and all that jazz.
It wouldn't work directly with Volo, but Jimmy did have other ways to copy it (like Phyrexian Metamorph).

I love it!!!!! This makes my month!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!
Jimmy now knows how Josh feels for decking out.
At roughly 29 minutes in did Ashlen really "tap 6 mana" for Spitting Image that was actually like 5 mana sources AND the Thran Dynamo? That was, like, 8 mana. She could have tapped Thran Dynamo and only 3 other sources.
Maybe she was trying to make up for 9:56 when she cheated by magically transforming her Wastes into an Island so she could cast Voidslime?
Got a good Thursday night football game and and good Extra turns game all today. A great Thursday!
Jimmy's "how exotic of you" sounded so unbelievably depressing 4:35
10:50 Jake you gotta sac a land and kill the token Sphinx!
Jimmy "what is haste?" Wong strikes again! Honest question: How many times has Jimmy had everyone dead on board for the next turn and actually succeeded, versus getting killed or neutered before his next turn?
Hmm, as far as I have counted? Always, perpectually.
This episode should be called "Jake and his Adventures in Magical Christmas Land"
Very fun video, and great decks to showcase!
Men I love extra turns, it’s just a refreshing quick game after or before the main dish, game knights 0w0
Jimmy needs to be careful about the Phyrexian errata, specifically Blightsteel, consecrated sphinx and metamorph
Oh, good catch!
I love that game so much. Yes, Jimmy you flew too close to the sun but thats the right way to play in casual games 😊 absolutely love it.
He flew too close to the BLUE sun…
Thanks for making me feel like I don't pay for CZcams premium with your in video ads, 'preciate it
We need a post commentary version of one of these game knights or extra turns games movie extra style with Jimmy and Josh making comments about the game, behind the scenes, or editing stuff
Was wondering... Shouldn't the sacrifice of Prismatic Vista at timestamp 21:44 cause it to re-enter the battlefield under Jordan's control due to It That Betrays?
Yes it should
Yes, but if I’m not mistaken it would come back as Esika not the bridge because I’m pretty sure that’s how the double faced cards work

Hoop you not mana screwed.. no but maybe card screwed 🤣 great game guys!
O Jimmy why would you not keep more counterspells when you’re that far ahead with such a small library.
