This horse WILL go down as one of the greatest in history.....
Yes he sure will ;)))
Foreshadowing if you were from 2012
From 2020, he is a legend
Breathtaking wonderful horse a true champion horse and rider!
Jim TremainFun fun fun
Valegro looks like he's flying during extended trot doesn't he? đ
I was just thinking that--ALL his moves are pretty amazing, but that trot is stellar!
whats most impressive, is the strength it takes to do it that perfectly, he looks like a machine, a well cared for one.
YES
I remember watching this test in my best friend's front room, we were both stunned by the incredible connection between Charlotte and Valegro, they make olympic dressage look as easy as a morning warm-up. I've always been a showjumper at heart, but this really opened my eyes to the artistry and skill of dressage. I now train my own horses thoroughly in dressage techniques, flexion, and collection before taking to the jumping ring. The difference it makes is phenomenal. There really is so much that can be learned by riders in any discipline from riding flatwork. Thank you Charlotte and Valegro for sharing your talent with the world, inspiring us all, and bringing home a slew of titles for Great Britain! We love you!
Couldnât agree more!
The test that made Charlotte and Valegro Charlotte and Valegro
Sylla Atlas what
@@maxcaulfield5500 It defines who they are, basically :) It started their career/fame.
Gave me the chills and tears.... wowđ
Truly
Possibly the best extended trot of all time. Makes me emotional every time I see it
That trot!!!!! Magical âŠ.
what a team - the thought of the years of training, the cost not just in money but time, work, etc., sure deserved teh gold medal
True legends right there. Were the duo that introduced me to dressage. đ
@Love# horses omg I was thinking the same thing xD
Slay queenđ„ł
You're not the only ones, i always thought dressage was a sport for the upper classes and snobs of the country but watching Charlotte and Valegro at the Olympics proved me wrong. I'm glad it did
It seems so effortless but it's really not. It's a hard work and skills that take years to learn, so if you have no idea about equestrian, just don't comment
You tell them.
I will reply with "Exactly" !
Preach
yeah you re absoluty right!!
Spot onđ
Never be another one like this fabulous Valegro!!!!
Valegro is now an equine legend
I'm watching this now in 2021 and burst out crying at how beautifully done it was, the music for it was perfect, the setting, the test, everything about it was a wonderful privilege to watch
2022!
â@mynamename5172 2023!
The extended trot is the best I've ever seen ! It's like his hooves dont touch the floor đ
1:50 Imagine Valegro giving a low "OK you ready to go cos we're going... Nice and steady away we're gonna - BEHOLD MY LEVEL OF IMMENSE LONDON! JUST LOOK AT IT!!"
lmao sitting here dying bc as a jumper my horse can't even do a side pass
Sam Galipeau my horse hates dressage but likes jumping đ
As an eventer Iâm dying too. Canât even get my horses to halt squarely
Leg yield or half pass? Sry I don't want to sound like a Karen or something.
XD
I know nothing about the equestrian world, but he makes me cry every time I see him perform or compete. Huge amount of work has gone into this and heâs such a special horse in the first place.....thatâs obvious.
This has to be the single most British thing I have ever seen in my life and I live here.
I was there at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage at their last competition before the Olympics and first time competing with this test, the first time they broke the record... The stunned silence at the end, its like the entire arena was electrified and I still get goose bumps every time I watch this test. True icons, it'll go down in history.
Dressage is so beautiful to watch, it's so underrated
And yet the horses I ride refuse to canter without spooking or tripping đđđ
Take a riding lesson;-))
@@johannax6653 you probably don't know how to ride.
@@user-uv6zb2bx7r lol true
@@johannax6653 Ah yes, beacuse taking riding lessons prevents the horses from tripping
@@johannax6653 some horses are just difficult and it doesn't mean that the person riding them is a bad rider
Still watching this every now and then because it is all kinds of excellent. Charlotte's seat is just phenomenal and I love how effective and deliberate her aids are. Then there's Valegro who's just an absolute star, and the exceptional partnership between these two... Such an inspiration, and such a well-deserved gold medal too!
There's something so extraordinary about this partnership. Valegro seems to know all the steps and is taking Charlotte along for the ride. They move as one complete unit.
His extended trot looks like heâs FLOATING! Itâs insane
After watching this stunning horse and his intelligent athletic rider.... rather ruins it for watching other team combinations. He will be sorely missed. This is the way Dressage IS done.
Literal tears in my eyes this is impeccable đđđ
The same here
that horse is truly dancing and it is beautiful
That was breathtaking!
There has never been a better extended trot
Tots agree
seems to be a specialty of Carl's and Charlotte's yard :-) I think Uthopia's extended trots were so amazing as well, maybe his best movement
I know nothing about this but watching it made me so happy đ€
You should try Edward gal and moorland totilas ! Magic is here as well !
@@ALLOU1521 Both are impressive individuals.
Aurore Pickle thank you for not trying to be a smarty pants even though you know nothing. That happens way to often on here. I mean these are Olympic riders they know what they are doing.

Probably one of the most beautiful, exceptional horses to ever exist. He and Ms. Dujardin will go down in history.
When I was 7 I thought doing half pass was amazing but watching this live honestly was the best thing EVER her skills and valegros are amazing getting to meet her was an honor too.
What we call a "pleasure" ride. Brava! Brava !! Irreplacable Talent. Poetry đđ
I could sit and watch this for hours. I absolutely love it.
I'll never forget the first time I saw Charlotte Dujardin. She was competing in the 2012 Olympics. I was pretty young at the time and didn't know who she was, but as I watched her, there was something special about her and her horse. They had a bond like no other. Their bond is like magic. When the Breyer, Valegro, released I had no idea that it was her horse. I haven't purchased Valegro yet and haven't gotten a close look at him, so I didn't know his story. Then a while later, I found her book and knew it was her. I was so happy when I finally remembered her name. I was very excited when I found out her horse was Valegro. She's a very talented rider and honestly, a huge inspiration. She's a rider that will never be forgotten. Her bond with her horse is incredible!
Such incredible footwork. A beautiful magnificent horse.
Wow, Valegro and Charlotte really got me into Dressage. I Used to get kind of bored since I liked the idea so I would watch it but I wouldn't be entertained. But for some reason ever since I watched Charlotte and Valegro I have been addicted
That is just beautiful. With the skipping and the beautiful canter is just amazing!!!!
I don't understand this kind of horsemanship but what I do understand is the love between these two she is incredible and valegro is just mind blowing how people make a horse or sorry train a horse to dance like a ballerina is beyond me magnificent
This is the first time i am seeing something like this. How do you teach a horse to do thatđČ i am so impressed.
Its not just the horse the rider uses different aids to ask the horse to do different things
Many many many years and a super talented horse and rider
The ultra talented horses which excel at the major skills of dressage actually love learning and schooling on new things. Not every horse will excel at schooling. I was blessed that my saddlebreds loved to school and never stopped learning new skills. Both excelled at dressage skills. Many could care less, but those that do love it are a blast to ride. The rider also has to love learning and have the patience to break a task down and work in a progression. The end justifies the work.
I have not seen abuse to dressage skills. Abuse go look at the feet of tennessee walkers.
Sally Greimes I guess youâve never seen an overbent dressage horse. Thereâs abuse in every equestrian discipline, not just TWH and dressage.
All you need is a dressage whip mints and one of those dog training devices that makes clicking noises
Did you know that Valegroâs paddock name is Blueberry! So cute đ„°
wow, I was just looking at some horse riding dressage motivation because I want to start competing again so I searched for: equestrian dressage competition motivation, and this was the first thing to come up, truly an inspiration and I am going to fight so hard to hopefully one day be able to follow in their footprints.
I just finished reading Carl Hester's YA book series about "Blueberry", then came here straight away. I am crying with the beauty of this horse and his partnership with Charlotte. Bravo!
A. Kinder OMG what is this series called?i need them ASAP!!
You should read, "the girl on the dancing horse" by Charlotte Dujardin!
@@lunarequine7734 sorry I just saw your question now. It's a series of six books and they are available on Amazon both Kindle and hard copy the first one is called Valegro - The Little Horse with the Big Dream The Blueberry stories: Book one by Carl Hester MBE with Janet Rising. They are lovely.
What a beautiful horse!!!
You can't help but admire the talent, and not to mention all the hard work that goes into this
That feeling of being one with a horse is amazing....... horses are 99% spirit and one percent flesh and bone; especially when it is windy, thank you Charlotte and Valegro and my res horse Loverboy.
All the blood sweat and tears that goes into a performance of this calibre. Absolutely incredible and awesome. Well done to all the team behind the scenes horse and rider.
Charlotte is an amazing rider, her and blueberry âvalegroâ are my all time favorite team
why am I suddenly obsessed with watching dancing horses?
Kenneth Ho *dressage is what itâs called
m e m e s heâs not your horse so give her a break. All watched and realize that dressage is a total commitment
I will say get Charlotte and Valegro working at their best,Charlotte's book is well named, "The Girl On The Dancing Horse"
I always marvel how the rider is always just sitting seeming to do nothing. So subtle and delicate. †I wish we had these shows close by. đą
I cried after watching this LIVE...â€ïž
I was very lucky to be there to watch this event and to this day nothing will beat that feeling when Charlotte and Valegro performed this.
The extended trot though đ€©
the extended trot is amazing
3:17 incredible beauty, horse is flying over ground...
My thoughts exactly. Is Valegro flying?. An incredible horse and rider.
All my co-workers talking about the Olympic dressage as if it's a joke...
Me: đ€Źđ€Šââïž
To be learn dressage let alone fine-tune and finesse it to this standard is a phenomenal skill which takes years of consistent practise and determination. I know dressage is a personal taste (a kind of love-it-or-hate-it scenario) but sometimes I wish the people who see no point in it would just keep quiet, because in opening their mouths it's like they're just totally undermining the time and effort these equestrians put in daily without fail to get to where they are now.
Anyway this was a stunning performance and the horse is just beautiful... definitely a born performer! đđ
Valegro's front hooves look like they don't even touch the ground in the extended trot!
I know nothing of dressage but I think Iâm allowed to comment that I choked up at the beauty and artistry of this horse and his human. Yep, this oleâ girl from a small town in Texas was only a barrel racer on Sunday afternoons.
That was an excellent display of training for both horse and rider. This took years to master the ability to make it look so effortless for both. Great job!
I love coming back and watching these two perform, they were so dynamic and uplifting.đâ€
Those two what legends.
Beautifully done, horse and rider! Anything this beautiful and amazing, does not come easy. Thank you for showing us this!
HE WAS SO CUTE AT THE END HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO BUT HE FINISHED PERFECTLY đ„č
I can watch this over and over..so much skill on show
She nails her transitions!
I watch this at least once a week they are just made in heaven
I just got into watching dressage, and I'm stoked, my friends say it's boring but since I was little I always thought horses where such magnificent creatures and really admired people who genuinely cared for them. I'm 20 now and I haven't ride a horse in years.
Incredible talent both of them (rider & horse)! It's very hard work training years & must be precise. I love the bond you & the horse have working together through the training & competitions, beautiful animals!
Charlotte is an absolute God and this is a match made in heaven
God made Charlotte & the horse.
Three words described Charlotte and Valegro. Poetry In Motion
Made me cry with happiness
That clock spin was totally in rythm
Only KĂŒr that brings me to tears watching it. Over and over, simply astonishing đđŒđđŒđđŒ
Soooo beautiful and touching... I can watch it over and over again...and feel every time the same pleasure đ
Thanks so much for the music titles. I prayed them up!
That was magnificent! Thanks for sharing!
Sends shivers down my spine!
So graceful. Perfect!
Perfection both horse and rider beautiful.
This video is just so mesmerising I could watch it all day the way they just glide together is magical best horse and rider duo đ
I was watching the dressage at last year's London Horse Show, I thought I had been watching it for about 45 minutes it was actually over 2 hours. Done well dressage can be mesmerising.
It was the Brit clean sweep with Charlotte, Lottie Fry and Becky Moody. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same top 3 and order in Paris at the Olympics
Hours and hours of training! Beautiful and awesome, wish I and my mare were so talented.
Awesome!!
Simply perfect. Remember watching with tears in my eyesâ€
Hans Peter Minderhoud did almost this exact routine on Equis Nadine in 2009. Almost the exact music, moves, etc. Beautifully done by both horses and their riders
This is such a great video
Ballet for Horses../Breath-taking beautifull
m e m e s Ballet is a good comparison though
The extended trot, I think they're just floating on skill right there....
I love how on beat they weređđ
I JUST LOVE VALEGRO
An amazing duo.
Stunning! I had to return for another look
Beautiful.
Absolutely stunning performance. Valegro is gorgeous
Hes a one off
Anyone who believes riding is an easy sport...
Get up there in the saddle. Years and years of training! I take my hat off to Charlotte!
I wish I could. The unpredictable nature of the epilepsy made learning to ride a horse too dangerous, it was not the horse it was a case of if I had a seizure whilst in the saddle I would have been along off the ground
Absolutely fabulous đ€©...........Can't find other words for this PERFECT performance
Beautiful !!!
We miss him
Bloody brilliant!!
Amazing teamwork đ
Valegro is brilliant!
And a beautiful horse to look at
They just make everything seem so effortlessđ
I have enjoyed show jumping and eventing for a long time but never really took much notice of dressage. I thought, at the time it's only a horse that can walk fancy and was a sport for snobs, then along came Charlotte and Valegro. I purely by chance saw the London Olympics test, this one, live, loved it and did a bit of research and discovered just how much skill and trying it takes for both horse and rider. After learning more about it if I can I will watch any dressage event that I can.
The rider is perfect!!!!
The horse is so nice and great!!!!!
