That was the best choreography of a freestyle dressage I have ever seen! The horse was in perfect time to the music all the way through. And the horse stopped at the end at the very moment when the music ended. Totally perfect in my view!!! And Laura knew how perfect it was. Kudos to her and her horse!
I agree, and I thought she should have won.
@@saralowe5306 She should have taken silver rather than bronze. The Dutch rider who did win it, has some dubious methods of training and made some nasty comments about the winner.
Martine N. I know that . I said she should have taken silver . The Dutch rider won the silver.. perhaps you misunderstood my text.
then you need to watch valegro and Charlotte breaking the world record to the music of how to train your dragon
This was good but the best I've ever seen was a glorious grey, Blue Hors Matine, who was hoof perfect and the timing was spectacular! Sadly no longer with us but still on CZcams. Fabulous.
I love how she gave him a "good job-pat" and cried at the end. It's sadly not that common in high class dressage. And can the horse please give me some dancing lessons lol?
I know right me too
fearless fijalla giving them a pat is a very common way of saying good job to the horse :)

My favorite childhood movie and music. This horse made it look even better! Lol!
Oh my gosh you loved my comment! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I am the hundredth like on this comment
I love that passage-piaffe transitions. Ridden so perfectly without loosing rythm or stumbling around.
This honestly made me cry at the end
why??
she and the horse were perfect in music and dance, I loved it God bless them . it was majestic, watching them brought this 75yo lady joy in my heart, thank you, thank you,,love MIMI. from Tenn., USA
Me...5293 me too :')
I come back to this video like at least once every 6 months lol
Amen same
love how she's keeping almost perfect balance during the whole thing. posting when needed, not being to stiff. I seriously need some kind of lessons from horses at this point I can't even spin without taking a few steps of balance. TEACH ME YOUR WEIGHT TRANSITIONING MAGIC YOU LEGENDARY HORSE
Oh my god ikr!! I've been riding for 8 years and I don't have that kind of balance 😂
你好
I really like how well the rythem of the music goes together with the movements of the horse! 😍
quiero unos videos nuevos ecuestre tokio 2020 con music monday
Ive never took interest in the dressage before, i must say its an absolute art to watch! I love it, its amazing
It’s amazing how deftly she uses her feet and hands to direct him. Of course, the horse knows what to expect after lots of practice but it’s cool! No equestrian worth their salt would let their hands and feet flail about! Awesome :D
SpiritWolf but do you understand that the horse is in an extreme amount of pain, metal bits, spurs, hard hands, no give, muscles being strained and pulled. The horses don't do this naturally it is forced. If you were the horse, how would you feel?
SpiritWolf l
Amber Poeppel I do agree with some things you say but all the dressage moves seen in this video are exaggerated natural movements that you would see a horse in the wild do 🙂
Life.In.The.Saddle No it's really not what wild horses do naturally. I've never seen a wild horse do a half pass, or a canter pirouette, or run around with it's head behind the vertical and it's poll tucked. Wild horses don't do these things. You should actually research wild horses.
@@amberp.8279 i know this is an old comment but still. . . if this horse was in "an Extreme amount of pain" it would have its ears back, swish its tail, and play up in other more subtle ways that are hard to pick for an inexperienced person, so mentioning these things is pointless, it would be like explaining things to a rabbit. i don't really like the way this horse was ridden, the rider looks quite rough and jerky, but the horse seems relaxed and comfortable all through the test, no signs of distress. and i cant judge the rider too much as i haven't ridden that horse, he may be a rough ride, some are smooth as silk, some quite bouncy. but i want to assure you, that dressage when done correctly, is not painful for the horse. the bits are only as harsh as the riders hands, while its just sitting in their mouth it doesn't hurt them, a small amount of pressure doesn't hurt them either, its when you yank and jar them that its an issue. spurs are used so the rider can do more accurate ques, they hardly have to touch them, especially at this level. and they don't stain and pull their muscles, they build them up over a long period of time, it takes ages to train a dressage horse for this level of competition, they don't just pull them in completely unfit for this. its the same as building up any muscle, it takes time, and as it gets stronger it gets easier and the level steps up.
What a lovely open frame this horse has …..never over bent , uphill and swinging
The horses free walk omg 😍
one of the best ever - Alf strides out like he is going back to his stable, lovely to watch
many people call this horse abuse. but this is not abuse, this is verry well preformed. 👏👏👏
I can't stop rewatching those flying changes 😍 They're so on beat!
Most elegant Hakuna Matata!
This is the best dressage I have ever seen
LOVE that she is at the Olympics but took the time to pat her horse at 4:42!!!! Wish all horses were treated this way!!
Absolutely magnificent horse and rider. Beautifully choreographed to the music.
The fact that she is riding a chestnut just brings the whole thing together.
Just brilliant .. brings tears every time I watch it ..x
This is a perfect video with the music, background, and the perfomance of both the athlete and horse.💚
Perfect dancing!! Wish I could download that medley Im a huge lion king fan
You can
★Pilgrimspass★
I think she looks terribly stiff in the upper body, and a ton of jerking on the reins! It would be nice to see a rhythm without her body convulsing, along with her jerky, jerky hands! But beautiful
@@bentem.s8449 do you know where I can find this lion king medley?
Zoe Addison you can screen record it? Or just search up online!
this is the most beautiful thing ive ever seen in my whole entire life
Wunderschön...ich hatte Tränen in den Augen 😍
Absolut tolles paar die beiden ❤️👍🏼
I dreamt about this for two sunsets.
I don’t know what it was telling me but I always love the freestyle dressage in the Olympic Games.
I always love the music from the Disney film The Lion King.
The head frame is beautiful
For me personally she is a bit harsh with her hands and it looks not as harmonic as it could.
But beside from that her Ride is on point and especially in the trot parts (and variations of trot) the horse's movements fit perfectly to rythm.
The ending how proud she was made me cry! She should be proud! Although not perfect it was something 99 percent of riders can’t do! It was technical it was didficult and her and her horse had a good communication!
i’d love to see her train in her own stable! it would be so cool!
I loved the passage-piaffe! So well ridden ❤
Beautifully done and so much fun
Beyond beautiful ~ so moving 💓
Such a beautiful horse 😍

What a honour to watch I’m in tears 😭
The horse is amazing

Amazing performance! 💫

Beautiful...
For me it's always crazy to see him because he looks like an exact copy of my Horse.. they could literally be twins. But my Horse would be the Lazy Twin... idk if you guys still ride competitions, but i wish you good luck! You did a Pretty Good Job Back then!🥰
I love watching this horse.
What a beautiful horse😍 well done both
My sis was just in the Lion King Junior Musical, so this is pretty much us combined! That horse is beautiful, the rider was sooo sweet at the end! 🐴 ❤
That has nothing to do with this Musical Freestyle!!
UNITY is a wonderful thing & the LOVE of an Animal, through PATIENCE & ENDURANCE, is a MAGNIFICENT thing to watch & behold...even the Animals, through hard work & commitment, get to DANCE, before their Maker!!! 🙏

Amazing horse and rider
I have always loved horses
Oh wow! Awesome horse!
the amount of uneducated people in the comments lollll y’all have no idea what you’re talking about
I could not agree more! To say anyone can do it is tripe. I already said even if i won the lottery, I could never aspire to win a Grand Prix. Maybe Medium level and that would be that! If I were born Usain Bolt, maybe I could win the 100metres. It was a superb performance. Such a pity she went away to have multiple kids and gave up at this level. Apart from Hester and Du Jardin, she was better than the other team riders now.competing for team GB. Yes, they are multimillionaires. Their place is to die for. I watched a BBC program and was drooling at the environment. Only Carl Hester's one is better.
This horse and rider where the the reason I started horse riding
deserve more than a gold
So amazing! You can see the partnership between the horse and rider! So pretty! 😍
What a beautiful horse! OMG!!😘
I like this and the lion king
😍 lovely
I agree

So besutiful!!.
piaffe trot transition was... perfectly ridden
It doesn't look good. This horse is amazing but the rider looks hard and heave in her moves..
All this looks heave and strenght..

Well she made it to the Olympics and you didn't soooo🤷♀️
She did come second in the olympics and she was not bad
Gianna Nannini Genau mein Gedanke!!
4 legs, expert dancer. 2 legs, falls over
So relatable

So clever a horse. It looks like a naughty gentleman.Good job
I was there . It was soooo hot that day , we had tickets for row D but didn’t know until we got there that rows A B C didn’t exist so we were on the front row . I cried LOTS
Pluvinel never would have allowed himself to hold a horse in an artificial collection for more than several minutes at a time. He understood the kind of tension that occurred in the entire cervical area of a horse’s spine and in her whole muscle system.
