It's amazing to see them hit every note. I've never seen a horse "dance" to techno before lol.
@@marinbernotas4734 let's just say a LOT of ground work.
Its so hard to do that what they do
Agreed
What do you think ketamine is for?
Its sad this horse has better moves then I do on the dance floor

Absolutely no one:

well this horses favourite type of music is clip clop.
It's not hopping. Its trotting and dressage.

That horse has some smooth moves...xD he grooves a lot better than me xD
We Got a Feeling... that you're pretty good! đșđ
Well, he does have 4 feet, which makes for better balance.... XD

Robin v. C. Its banned in the FEI level I believe. If they saw it they wouldnât put this video up and they would probably disqualify the rider. Next time, think a little more.

Look how RELAXED they are ... like two liquids flowing together ... that horse is ALL KINDS of in his element LOL
But a little bit painful for that poor horse
@@emmagratzl8882 it's not painful for the horse at all.
@@elinas5316 Well, ok
@@natashalamonda2174 Kiwii telled me that isn't painful for the horse at all. I understanded đ
@@emmagratzl8882 lol calm down
Let me point this out: this is a lustiano (hopefully i wrote this correct) and these horses have a thicker neck. The way the horse is walking is normal. His ears are relaxed so it must be trained correctly. I cannot say if it likes to do dressage only the horse can say that for himself.
The only thing i have to say is that the bit is a bit rough for the horses mouth and that the horse drools a bit to much for my liking.
almost everything you said is correct i hope this gets more likes so people stop using this as a reason for it being 'abused.'
the only thing i have to say is the horse salivating is absolutely fine, it means it's content, relaxed, and working hard, the more the better really.
The horse has a double bridle, which is a requirement for FEI grand prix, and doesnt seem to have any problem in it, you can also see the minimal effort the rider is making with his hands through the bit of slack in his lower rein. we are taught from pretty much lesson 1 that it should be 80:20 seat and leg: hand, so when you have to use the upper level equiptment, you arent harming the horses mouth. Nobody can make it to this level without such discipline because it also affects ballance. Also, in dressage we like to see the mouth foaming because it looks like the horse is thinking and focused, so sometimes we put a bit of sugar on the bit. Anything happening in this video is FAR from abuse as the replying comment seems to think.
Natural Riding yeah I kinda agree there
The horse drools because it cannot swallow, either because the nose band is too tight or pulling on the tongue too much. What about his tail? Lashing around most of the ride? The piaffe is not correct,, as his front feet come under, instead of his hind end dropping more. Hes more correct than most of the riders out there but not great
Natural Riding lusitani x
The training this would take. The concentration and trust of each other is incredible. Theyâre beautiful to watch
Finally, someone who understands this. I am a great animal lover, esp. of horses. I have six rescue horses plus a trotter. But this extreme animal defense is really irritating. Do you think we can just stop using horses and other animals in racing, jumping, dressage, hobbies. They would just stop breeding them. So please think!
I was on the fence, until I started reading the comments and taking at face value what the experts here have said that this isnât animal abuse. I kind of compare it to training a dog.
I am however unsure about the neck position, that really does look painful.
Animal abuse trains the horse
@@kymprice01 the horse is a lusitano and that breed has thicker necks. i know because im from portugal and have lusitanos and my mare has that neck posture even if im not holding the reins
@@niteblaster1 no. Look it up. I NEVER abused any of the horses I rode in my life.
This is absolutely incredible and the piaffe is outstanding! He is flexing his haunches very well and takes up load on his hindquarters quite nicely!
I was just coming on to comment on the piaffe @1:30.....stunning. That's where you can always tell the caliber!
Nope. The rider uses something called "Rollkur". And thats animal cruelty.
Robin v. C. this is not röllkur. the horse has a thick neck (also a crest), and this horse is in proper collection. i know röllkur very well when i see it, and this is simply not the case. but nice attempt.
Robin v. C. The horse is above the bit
@@whynotbeanequestrian8181 it doesn't look like the horse lost contact with the rider's hands, so I don't think it's above the bit.
dressage is so so difficult, and the fact that it hit every move is stunning, it mustâve taken forever to perfect!
Yes! This was an amazing routine, dressage is very hard to learn as for training your horse, it is also VERY bouncy much more than sitting any trot. So sitting any dressage move is a challenge
The Iberian riders are definitely the most artistic riders, every time. Just remember the amazing program of Fuego. Technically they may not be the best, but I adore their horses, especially Lusitanos and Cartujanos, Andalusians and Alter Real less. Just look at this horse! That neck! Those proportions! Born to do dressage.
Sylla Atlas I agree. The horse has beautiful conformation for the sport!
Many thanks from Spain. I adore them too
I think technically they are the best. While the warmblood is bred for impulsion and big gaits, Andalusians are bred for collection. Their confirmation is also much more suited. Do you see how far that hind leg went under the horse? Far surpasses valegro any day
@@coollikegrass2489 But their canter lacks quality, and so does the walk. Plus, they struggle to make the big sport dressage extensions.
@@dominicweber I would definitely say no their Canter's and walks do not lack quality. This horses canter was a dressage canter just like any warmblood
As for extension, yes it is harder. You are going against something that was bred to extend with something that was bred to collect.
But as collection is the main goal of dressage we should support something that can truly collect but not extend so well over something that can truly extend and not collect so well
I'm in love with this horse.
As I cannot walk & chew gum, I'm utterly in love with this entire routine. Nice job! They make such a beautifully working team.
You might not be able to walk and chew gum... but you are modest and funny đ

1 tempi fly changes ON A CIRCLE what a BRILLIANT horse and brilliant rider!!!!! Lusitanos are fabulous horses. Well done!
Naybella B I thought the same!
All the transitions and even the change in impulsion when the music is more intense. Totally in sync with the music/ kĂŒr chosen. One of my favorites.
The Lusitano horse is like an underdog in the Olympics, it would have been really nice to have heard the commentator give us a play-by-play of the actual score The rider from Portugal got I think he did a wonderful job and should be a top contender.
I give Portugal đ”đč an 83!
They didn't give him a good score. The judges don't like classical dressage anymore, it seems đ
It makes me sad that they donât score as high as the warmbloods do, because I honestly prefer them. They have such talent for piaffe/passage and always look so willing and elegant.
@@novksavg What? Its excellent. That piaffe.
@@mynamename5172 It was the best Piaffe at the Olympics that year

That free walk is truly beautiful
what an incredible dressage ! đ shocked to know that they only got 78 %
This is the most complicated, artistic, creative and skilled performance I've ever seen. The horse is stunning, the songs are bangers and the performance was perfect!
This is the best dressage to music Iâve absolutely ever seen! I love the Spanish horses and Iâd rather see them than warmbloods. I obviously donât know anything about all the technicalities of dressage but this is pure entertainment and pure heart and talent from both horse and rider and to me that matters more! Iâm in love with these two!! Way to go SO COOL đ
Lusitano
They look similar but this is a Lusitano (Portuguese horse)
I CANNOT stop watching this! What an incredible rpund. The rythym, beats, music, everything is just on pointđ my favourite dressage freestyle ever! This pair is amazing together you can really tell the both of them love their job!â€

Love seeing these beauties dancing to music as well as showing off all of the hard work and training! Love the way they hit every beat transition to! Unique indeed! WTG!
I have to admit as an an equestrian myself I think you were a lot better than that gold medal winner!! And your stallion is gorgeous!! Kudos
Cannot understand why any one would give them thumbs down... This horse rider team is what I aspire to do.
And this is an example of why I love dressage, so precise each and every movement planed out.

Horse really ejoys having a piece of metal in his mouth and rubing it on his lip

@@akkistic you clearly know nothing about horses - the bit doesn't "rub" on their lip or make it bleed, and is in a specific spot in their mouth so that it doesn't move around as much.

How perfect that was and the wonderful communication between Rider and horse is absolutely beautiful to watch. It takes 2 to Tango...Thank for sharing this beautiful video with us.
What a perfect animal cruelty.
@@robinv.c.898 there's literally no animal cruelty here at all. I've seen you comment a few times about how this is "rollkur" and how it's "abusive". this rider is *not* riding in rollkur. rollkur is highly illegal and the rider would have been disqualified - plus, this video would not still be here. the horse is a lusitano stallion, which is why he has a huge arched neck.
This horse is absolutely incredible!
Has to be my favorite dressage ride ever, just fantastic! Literally love this... they're both so on point, what incredible talents.
Does anyone else feel like everyone has forgotten the fact that horses are big strong animals....
That horse could throw itâs rider if it wanted to. But it did not.
That's because the horse is tamed, and the rider has a good bond with him.
sorry? have you ever seen a horse in pain. They dont buck, kick or throw their riders. Horses in pain are SILENT AND QUIET. That is how they have evolved over millions of years, if they show pain in the wild, a predator can easily come and nab them, therefore they are masters at pain concealment. The few times horses buck at jumping shows and on cross country courses is beacuse the pain has become unbearable and they try to show people. PLEASE dont say that if the horse was hurting it it would protest. It wont. It never will.
I've seen horses protest their pain? So am I blind or what?
@@rengab137 Horses will show their pain if they feel like they can WITHOUT punishment or consequence. For example if a little kid is on the back of a pony and they jab it in the mouth, the pony might do a small buck or pigroot. In a dressage competition they have been TRAINED to accept spurs, pelhams and other forms of pain. If they don't, they know that it is going to be MORE painful so they must.
Eliya Adler you make me laugh, you can ride almost every horse with spurs when youâre an experienced rider and use them correctly. Horses show their pain trough their eyes and body posture.
Not magic--Magnificent pairing of man and beast. Angelic portrayal of discipline and dedication. Wondrous đ„
this is truly amazing! It looks as though the horse is doing all the work but if you look closely you notice allt he riders hard work out into it!!
This is one of my favorite dressage videos! Am use to Arabians so this horse is very different looking but it is astoundingly beautiful....the rider is the best ever! Just love this performance!
I love how when you add music, the horse moves with the beat

Beautiful dressage horse actually boogieing to music. Greatest thing I'll see this week.
This is beautiful. I did this as well. It takes hours and hours of practice dedication and the right horse. They lose points if the horse kicks the white rails or they don't go all the way to the corners. Gain points if transitions are smooth and fluid.
Ahhhhh look. Music makes dressage actually interesting...
Avery Madison doesnât look like constant drills with music đ

He's beautiful.. That crest sure is impressive, buddy! I know you're bred like that, horse, but it's still impressive o.o
Naomi Duskbrooke also probably a stallion but he is beautiful
Amazing! Such a graceful sport. I love Dressage!
The goodest boiii, look at the elegance yesss. I hope all of this magestic animals are confortable working with their hoomans uwu
Let me point this out. THIS IS NOT ANIMAL ABUSE (duh) . Horses are supposed to salivate... it helps them. And also, yes SOME people train their horses cruelly.... but it certainly takes a bond to train a horse without anything close to cruelty. Either people donât know the definition of animal abuse or theyâre just plain ignorant, but this is not abuse to the horse. It also depends on the horse for whatever bit, bridle, or bridles like the bit less kind.
Amazing horse, definitely made to be a great dressage prospect, however, myself I use a simple snaffel bit, but I think double bits are just a bit much but the horse doesnât seem to be that bothered but only the horse can tell thatđ€·ââïž
They have to use double bits at this level
Saara Makris I know however I donât think itâs necessary, I believe a horse at that level can do just as well in a snaffel bit than a double bit.
Tea Bag or no bit at all! Iâm not anti but but just saying- although I agree with you.

good luck but don't be like him he is being so cruel see its mouth FOAMING WTH it's like me outing that bit in your mouth and yanking on it so you had to bend your neck not willingly if you actually like horses you would NOT HURT THEM........ sorry but its THE TRUTH
melody x Emma Hey, I just saw your comment and I thought I would correct you. So the horse is actually foaming because itâs relaxed. You actually want the horse to foam. It could also be the bit material causing it. If itâs a copper or sweet mouth bit they foam a lot. It means the horse is comfortable. Just thought I would tell you!đ
He also is making it bend its neck unnaturally I think

I think that horse has been educated after the scale of training in the right way. The only thing that I would critic is the open mouth. It seems that the rider has a soft hand though.. Very nice ridden so far!
Iâd agree. Iâm kinda dumb, but the horse in my pfp sticks out his tongue when heâs learning something new/thinking. Maybe similar for this horse? Either that, or I feel like the work this horse is doing is probably very tiring.
Put Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven from Rio 2016 next. Her Beach Boys medley music was on point!
I just don't understand why you would ride on such a beautiful creature and call it a bond that you have. It's beyond me to hurt someone so lovable.
Because it's a very strong bond between you and the amazing creature that can kill you easily
And you do it cause it's a passion
