    Let me point this out: this is a lustiano (hopefully i wrote this correct) and these horses have a thicker neck. The way the horse is walking is normal. His ears are relaxed so it must be trained correctly. I cannot say if it likes to do dressage only the horse can say that for himself.
    The only thing i have to say is that the bit is a bit rough for the horses mouth and that the horse drools a bit to much for my liking.

    • @axo9813
      @axo9813 Pƙed 5 lety +177

      almost everything you said is correct i hope this gets more likes so people stop using this as a reason for it being 'abused.'

    • @devfrancis7666
      @devfrancis7666 Pƙed 5 lety +177

      The horse has a double bridle, which is a requirement for FEI grand prix, and doesnt seem to have any problem in it, you can also see the minimal effort the rider is making with his hands through the bit of slack in his lower rein. we are taught from pretty much lesson 1 that it should be 80:20 seat and leg: hand, so when you have to use the upper level equiptment, you arent harming the horses mouth. Nobody can make it to this level without such discipline because it also affects ballance. Also, in dressage we like to see the mouth foaming because it looks like the horse is thinking and focused, so sometimes we put a bit of sugar on the bit. Anything happening in this video is FAR from abuse as the replying comment seems to think.

      The horse drools because it cannot swallow, either because the nose band is too tight or pulling on the tongue too much. What about his tail? Lashing around most of the ride? The piaffe is not correct,, as his front feet come under, instead of his hind end dropping more. Hes more correct than most of the riders out there but not great

    This is beautiful. I did this as well. It takes hours and hours of practice dedication and the right horse. They lose points if the horse kicks the white rails or they don't go all the way to the corners. Gain points if transitions are smooth and fluid.

    Let me point this out. THIS IS NOT ANIMAL ABUSE (duh) . Horses are supposed to salivate... it helps them. And also, yes SOME people train their horses cruelly.... but it certainly takes a bond to train a horse without anything close to cruelty. Either people don’t know the definition of animal abuse or they’re just plain ignorant, but this is not abuse to the horse. It also depends on the horse for whatever bit, bridle, or bridles like the bit less kind.

  • @grisste
    @grisste Pƙed 5 lety +75

    Amazing horse, definitely made to be a great dressage prospect, however, myself I use a simple snaffel bit, but I think double bits are just a bit much but the horse doesn’t seem to be that bothered but only the horse can tell thatđŸ€·â€â™€ïž

    • @saaramakris9235

    • @grisste
      @grisste Pƙed 5 lety +8

      Saara Makris I know however I don’t think it’s necessary, I believe a horse at that level can do just as well in a snaffel bit than a double bit.

      @maddiefaith1417 Pƙed 5 lety +20

      melody x Emma Hey, I just saw your comment and I thought I would correct you. So the horse is actually foaming because it’s relaxed. You actually want the horse to foam. It could also be the bit material causing it. If it’s a copper or sweet mouth bit they foam a lot. It means the horse is comfortable. Just thought I would tell you!😊

      I’d agree. I’m kinda dumb, but the horse in my pfp sticks out his tongue when he’s learning something new/thinking. Maybe similar for this horse? Either that, or I feel like the work this horse is doing is probably very tiring.
