Thanks for the advice Rick, Gamo repaired the rifle and Sent it to me last week. You were right, it had excessive barrel droop and a bad scope. Didn't take the full 6 weeks... Only 3. They sighted it in also and Sent me the 5 shot test target also. I'm very pleased with my Gamo Whisper Fusion Elite now.
S.P.K SR. - I'm glad that you are all set. I've always said that it's better to under promise and over deliver than to over promise and under deliver. I've had great success working with Gamo's support team. Yes it takes time, but they really do care about how their guns perform. I know some of those guys personally. They are a decent bunch of guys that love airguns just like we do.

I had this a couple of days ago, it's great for shooting at around 80 - 100 yards, i even hit my shot at 131 yard on a little target. Great air gun!

Very nice review. I'm going to order one tomorrow. I have a bad crow problem in my backyard and it will be good to teach my son trigger control and site picture skills.
It is a very good rifle that has a good trigger, decent velocity and it is quiet. It is accurate as well.

Both are great rifles. I would base my choice on price. Both guns are great for the money. The Yukon is a great rifle for the price.

Both are lethal rifles with accurate shots. The Silent Stalker Whisper is a litte bit less noisy but the Pro is not loud at all coming in under 100DB.

My next acquisition ... this is the best Rifle
The trigger adjustment screw will adjust the stages of the trigger. It will make them either longer or shorter (the 1st and 2nd stages). You will either feel the trigger tighten or loosen.

I'm with Rick on hollow stocks. I had a Benjamin Trail XP, but returned it due to the just plain awful ringing it would produce in my ear. I was in Iraq 2006 and lost a lot of my hearing. And I wounder what the db is with your ear to the stock. But I think your right on the spray foam fix. Glad you talked about that!
The new Gamos are great rifles...especially the Fusion Pro. Overall I would have to go with the RWS 350.

After chambering about 100 rounds, I had the absolute devil of a time, when attempting to add 2 new canisters, as the gas would quickly rush past the pressure relief's O-ring. I could NOT stop it (went through 10 cans)...until I noticed that the lower part of the valve, which IS threaded, was a turn or two loose! Tightened it back "up" solved ze problemme!
With the IGT you can leave it cocked longer for periods of time and not have to worry about spring fatigue. The velocities of an IGT is suppose to remain the same in cold weather as they do in warmer weather.

If you need power and accuracy in the mid ranges, i would go with the Silent Stalker. The big difference in the IGT and the spring is the crisper shot cycle of the IGT. If you want a rifle with medium power go with the IGT. If you want a rifle with more power and accuracy, go with the Fusion Pro.

I've been thinking on purchasing the gamo bone collector bull whisper in .177. Would you do me the favor of doing a review on it using the jsb exact match diablos in 8.4 grains. Thank You very much and keep up the good work.
The Pro has a shock absorption system which helps reduce the recoil of the rifle which makes it less than the recoil of the Whisper with regular spring. Both have recoil but the Pro does not have the recoil that alot of powerful .177's have.

Hey Rick been watching a lot of your reviews latley and they are awesome, keep on the good work. Now im about to buy a rifle so this are my options: the Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro or Gamo Silent Stalker 22 cal. One thing that im not sure of is the IGT technology, one has it the other doesnt so its really a big difference between the two?? i mean spring and igt?? Im looking for power and accuracy, the stealth factor it is not and issue around my place but it certainly help a bit. thanx
The Trail NP is quiet and accurate. The better rifle overall is the Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro or Fusion IGT. They are quiet and they have real good accuracy and they also have enough power to take small game effectively.

what pellet would you recommend for the whisper fusion pro in .22 thanks in advance
Got a question about the sat trigger. I just got a maxxim hornet .22 with the same sat trigger. I was adjusting the 1st adjusting the screw which is the screw on the trigger and a few days later that 1st screw fell out. Im having trouble trying to get that screw back in. It goes in the hole but its just not going into the hole that it needs to be screwed into. Is there a certain way this needs to be done?

Let me see what I can do about that.. I'm stuck on this one as pricing changes at the manufacturer's level as well as the retailer's level.. so if I say the RWS is a great gun for $230, and then the price jumps to $270 a year later.. I get people complaining on that side of it. I could use something like "currently price at.." I suppose.

For consistency at that range, look into a PCP gun. The Benjamin Discovery is a good starting point.

Have you reviewed the .22 caliber? Going that route, after having owned 2 previous .177 caliber rifles. Both Gamo and very good quality for the price.
This would be an excellent gun for rabbits and squirrels.

great video Rick, i think you might be able to get close to 1400fps with this gun if you use crosman lead free hollowpoints they are 4.0 grains compared to the 5.2 grain gamo pba pellets.
Probably the RWS line of guns.. the RWS 34 is a great gun that should last a very long time. If you want a bit more power, look at the RWS 350.

Hi, been watching a lot of your reviews and im about to buy a new rifle, so this are my options: Gamo Silent Stalker Whisper IGT and this one the Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro. What do you recommend? Silent Stalker has IGT, the Fusion Pro dont so is this a big difference?? I need power and accuracy in mid ranges.thanx.

I would have loved to.. but with 20+ mph winds, it's hard to evaluate a product's accuracy.. At 10 yards you can get an idea of how the gun is performing. If it groups decently at 10 yards it has the potential to group well at further ranges. If it does not group at 10, it certainly won't group any better at 20. I'll be getting out to the range when time and weather permits and I'll be taking this with me. Stay tuned for more data.

Any idea if the gamo whisper fusion mach 1 has similar velocity with its igt gas ram?
I hope this sort of question isn't annoying, but I am in the market for a new air rifle. I have my eyes set on 2 in particular, both in .177: the Gamo Whisper Fusion Pro (the only con I noticed was that it is spring powered) and the Ruger Yukon. Which would you say is superior?

have you had trouble trying to zero the stock Gamo scope ? i am having trouble. i seem to be maxing out top adjustments.... at 25 yards. any tips. im using a laser to sight it in.
S.P.K SR. - You can't use a laser to sight a break barrel airgun. You have to do it manually. If you are out of adjustment, then your gun has severe barrel droop. Contact Gamo for service.

how does the recoil compare to the whisper with nitro piston and with the regular spring?

I tried this rifle outdoors and it performed very well. It is a very back. I did not observe any other peculuarities with the scope after a number of shots. The mounts on mine were rock solid. It is a great rifle for target shooting and small game hunting.

Crackhead broke into my car last night. My alarm allowed me to get out in time to scare him before taking anything. I didn't have my gamo whisper pro, but if I did would it have done any damage to him or stop if he was trying to get into my house?? Thx a lot
+Psycho Gorilla - airguns are not for personal defense or defense of one's property. You would more than likely wound someone and find yourself in jail. Moreover, you need to know your local laws about using force. Most place, you have personally be in jeopardy and in fear for your life or the life of others before you can even think about using a gun of any kind. It's a very bad idea.

The Whisper Fusion is more quieter and has less power. The Pro has more power but it is quiet for a .177 of its power.

The Bull Whisper Extreme was the best when Gamo was making it. I would say a good guess is that the Whisper Fusion Pro in .22 replaced it. It will have the power and the accuracy that you are looking for.

What's a good accurate .22 for hunting small game for around $200
There are a lot of options: Hatsan 95 spring and vortex, Hatsan 85, Hatsan 125, Ruger Yukon, Various Gamo Models... All should do pretty well. I like the Hatsan airguns for power and accuracy.. they are heavy, hard to cock, and may not be the right choice for some, but they put out more power than other guns in their class.

I do not know because I do not know what the new laws are in Illinois. I had heard that they had limited them to 700 fps. As of now, I am not sure. Check your local laws.

Should I get this, or a Diana 350 Magnum?
It depends on what your are looking for. If you want a magnum springer in .22 that is accurate and one of the finest springers made, then go with the 350. If you want a good .177 for small game hunting and plinking, I would go with the Fusion Pro. You cannot lose with either rifle.
