Hi there, i was trying to change my lower steering shaft on my pick up...and turning the steering I couldn't get it to align the steering with the tires to be straight, now turning truck on my airbag light and my esp went on the dash...could it be the corckspring ? Will that be also the reason why i couldn't align them straight ?

can clock spring be responsible for clicking noise from steering wheel
I had a clicking noise and it turned out to be the flexible steering coupler in the EPS unit.
My BMWX3, 2015, have a warning of cruise, control malfunction, also the buttons do not work? is that from the same problem?

When I tap on the steering console without actually honking it makes noise like a spring and also it makes the same noise on it's own when cruising on highways. What might be the issue here??

can the clockspring be cleaned
When I reset the car (disconnect battery or through OBD) everything works until I turn the car off again then no horn no wipers no turn signals. I’m wondering if it’s bad clock spring or not because wouldn’t it not work even after resetting the cpu? Anyone know plz help
my buttons when pressed would act like a different button example, volume up would change a song. my info button would be menu or any combination on the same side. cruise control side, buttons do the same. horn still works, airbags light and warning on. honda said i dont have airbags. sounds like a clock spring to me based on what you said in your video but do you agree? its weird that the buttons would act as different buttons and not just stop working all together.

So what if everything works, except the steering is tighter than normal and the wheel does not retract back like normal power steering. When you turn, it comes back really slow. I was told a clock spring. Can this be true if all the buttons and horn still work? My air bag light is also on.

Im having same issues but no light. Hard steering and slow retraction as of power steering is not working and weird spring sound when turning bit right and left.

Right now it’s so hard to find clock spring for the 2000 Nissan Maxima.

It's in the same spot on every car. You have to take steering wheel off with a special tool
I hope you found one that came off of a salvage yard somewhere.
That's where you'll find them. As long as they test it first before you purchase or if they don't have the keys to the car they can offer a 90 day warranty if you install it and it's not working. 🙏

no it would most likely throw you the abs light, traction control off light and make your steering wheel seem like it needs an alignment
Also please can driving with one hand cut off the clock spring ?
