Thank you for creating a detailed and simple video to test the functionality, more importantly you showed more or less where to attach the pin on the back side of the spring. Thanks!!!!! Have a great day.

Chris - does it matter which pin you connected the red multimeter wire to?

Just bought a navara and know fuck all about cars so loving your vids. How did the green wire mod work out? Did you get much difference in fuel economy? Still interested in the g shackle vid too!

Cheers bud, that was super helpful.
Can this test be done with out taking clockspring out?
I am going for my 4th clockspring and I'm thinking it maybe a connection to it.
    Cheers Arran

Yeah, you probably could do it carefully without removing. There is heaps of cheap ones around, that could be contributing to the high failure rate. Also extremely important to make sure everything is centred before you install a new one.

Can a faulty clock spring cause only airbag to be faulty? All my steering button controls and horn work fine but my airbag light is on. Ran codes and all point to steering wheel. I did a continuity test but didn't get any connection from airbag plug

Yes, potentially only the air bag circuit could have failed.
