Are you thinking of building any of these bases, or is it just easier to stash your loot out in the forest?
Who needs secret bases when you have March Ridge. Everyone hates March Ridge. Hunker down in one of the houses and you'll never get found.
Yeah, but then you'll have a hell of a commute to anywhere worth visiting
March ridge is good for about 5 days, the dorms really bring it up tbh
One hell of a commute alright. But at least you are hidden. It's like a shopping mall there if your only concern is food.
@@dariuspemula A great last ditch for books too. Huge 2 story library..
Those big farm produce warehouses out in the farmland have a 2nd story ledge above the door that you normally can't see or access but you can build stairs to reach them. Handy if you wanna hide since nobody visits them if the food is rotten and the inaccessibility
Those are great hideouts!
I would absolutely argue against cleaning blood and taking away the bodies. Dead zombies mean someone cleared the place = no loot = less interest. But if the place is clean and no zombies around that is just too suspicious.
That's certainly another perspective to consider. In my own experience, it's generally better to clean up the blood and corpses, especially since groups of looters tend to target players for their stuff. Leaving any traces could attract unwanted attention. Of course, it does depend on the specific server you're playing on.
Blood is the best think to hunt some PVE mushrooms
the real trick is make a noob looking base under your base then you can be more open with parking your just take the wheels and suspension. base hunters will find the base they are looking for and loot the junk while the real loot is hidden in the roof
Haha, that could totally work if your base just screams "noob" and the good stuff is stashed away with zero hints leading to it.
This is amazing! Nice video you have given me so many ideas. I like playing on public servers and hiding from players so this is perfect!!
Glad you enjoyed it, my friend. I hope you have a blast in the game!
Great video once again Bladiuss. I don't play much MP and when I do its on a white-listed server with friends, but I may implement these ideas to make my own secret get-away when my character needs some alone-time...
Thanks as always @Jackal326 hopefully when you do play in a MP server these ideas are useful to you and your friends!
I really love your videos! Very useful as usual
Thank you @anamariagutierrezgallardo3991. I'm glad you keep enjoying the content we put out. Please let me know if there's anything you'd wish to watch in the future, and of course happy surviving 😊😀
Awesome video, you just earned a sub my dude! ❤
Thanks for subbing! Hope you have a blast with all the content on the channel! 😀
awesome video, youre one of my favorite project zomboid creators.
Hey, thanks a bunch! Your words and support totally motivate me to create even cooler stuff. Big shoutout to you @cursedpinecone for sticking around and being awesome 😊!
The original map alone offers a high number of places that can be used as a secret base, as you have shown here, so with the maps added by the modders, just imagine what it would be.
As always, thanks for your video, for all the tips and for your positive mindset.
Be safe, have fun
No problem, man! Thanks for the love-it means a lot! By the way, places like Ravencreek are packed with awesome spots for secret bases. Definitely a cool thing to dive into in the future!
@@bladiuss I tried, some time ago, this gigantic map. I unfortunately could not enjoy it for a long time because the game kept crashing ( but that’s only because I had too many mods installed, lol ). I would try it again during a new game, with fewer mods installed ( I will only activate the essentials ).
Cheers ;)
Hope you have a blast checking out Ravencreek! Stay safe and enjoy the holidays! 😊
The last spot is outstanding.
Thanks man, that's actually one of my favs too!
How did u build the floor without falling
Not only did you teach how to build the bases but you also showcase the best spots. You're a godsent thank you!
Happy to help man. Thanks for the awesome comment!
I don't know if I'd call it a secret base but my favorite area in West Point is the fishing shack by the docks. It has one entrance and the potential for a mostly player made base. Also, limitless water and fish.
Great location!
One more random tbought regarding the hidden room base technique in the LSU Dorm....
Could you do the same, but with a useless, large wrecked vehicle acting as camouflage?
Say, take a large, nondescript 1 story factory or hospital or corporatw building. Find a room, and use your dorm door removal trick. Park a large, useless trailer against the outside wall - strip it for parts too so nobody wants to tow it. Use that trailer as camouflauge to hide the base entrance. The entrance would be a normal door.
Another one... utilize the triple-staircase pier stairs near the military checkpoint as camouflage. Nobody would look behind those and into the water itself for a base, right? Maybe?
I can imagine the car wreck strategy working, but it really depends on how well you position it to block all visibility. As for the triple staircase, I'm not entirely sure which one it is.
Thank you for the video! Three thoughts.
1) Can you hide in relative plain sight? Say, in a vehicle wreck?
2) Do church roofs work for this strategy?
3) How does hiding deep in the woods work?
Hey, thanks for checking out the vid! Here's my take: 1) Yeah, it can totally work. 2) Church roofs are awesome spots for the strategy. 3) Find a spot in the deep woods, remember it, and stash all your loot there - maybe build a little structure to keep it safe.
For the last spot how did u build the floor without falling outside the window
really love your videos!!! are you french?
Hey thanks for the comment!😊 I'm Costarican by the way!🇨🇷
You know you can just disassemble player built stairs right? Use the pickup/place menu next to the stairs with proper tools and you get the resources back
Thanks man! Totally a better idea than destrying the stairs 😅😆
@@bladiuss blew my mind when I learned...so many lost planks haha
Yeah man definitely, and here I was wasting all those materials haha. That's an awesome advise man, thank you!
I Only play co-op with my friends. We share our main base and everyone has their own room but we still share everything. I might make a secret base some day just to confuse them haha. I will just enter a building and boom I am gone haha
Sounds like a plan 👍👌
before you do that make sure the host does not have settings that reveal all players to each other on the map.
how do you connect the sink if there is no water container on the roof on the first base?
Honestly, in this base, the sink serves more as a prop for immersion than anything else. I've placed water containers on the north side, right under the leaned roof. I removed the tile roof directly above the container so rainwater can be collected, remaining discreet under the leaned roofing. You can then boil this water for consumption.
@@bladiuss it make sense i just wonder to know how did you connect the sink or if there is any way to connect it and keep the base hide, thank you for your time.
Good video
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you've enjoyed the video!
Does anyone know any good mp servers i could try? Id like to use one of thesd builds but i only find dead servers in my browser
How did you zoom out that far? Hmm.. 🤔
Recommending secret places on youtube? Really clever way to distract them your from real location =)
P.s. Actually i don't know how important is to find a secret spot, i've never played MP.
Haha You caught on fast-distraction is indeed a key element in crafting a secret base. By the way, you should definitely give it a shot; playing in multiplayer offers a completely different and cool experience.
That's a great tip that I didn't know off. Do you happen to know what is it that they use to revela the values you mentioned?
@@bladiuss i use it , it's not famous, so i prefer to be silent , i don't what it to bee shared
Just leaving an engagement comment !!
Thanks man that's exactly what this video needed. I appreciate it!
The dorm is POI itself)
I'm not completely sure about that. Most of the rooms don't really have anything special. There are a few storage spaces with some tools and weapons, but besides that, nothing too amazing.
@@bladiussEach room have wardrobe, in there u can find firearms, shotguns and m14s, ammo and attachments too, a lot of clothes to grind tailoring and first aid, dorms literally have all u need to play in MP
And really secret base are some fireplaces to storage loot somewhere in the woods
I get what you mean. Found some crazy good stuff in random wardrobes, but it's that unpredictability that makes me hesitate to call it a good POI. Unlike a gun shop where you know what to expect, looting wardrobes is like a loot roulette. You could get awesome loot, or you could get nothing interesting. In my experience, the dorms are a hidden gem because hardly anyone ever goes there.
