I wish the mineral supplement didn't have stevia in it. I hate the taste of stevia. No need for sweeteners. Hard to find a mineral supplement that don't have any sweetener in it, so I have been trying to make my own, but hard to get all the main minerals together, in the right form, without being super expensive and needing a lot of space for them all.
@@a3sully I love stevia, they're not all created equal. This is actually a better priced electrolyte than others people offer on their channels. I saw one earlier that was $45 per month. Who can afford that.
I'll toss pink salt in plain water before I spend that amount 😡
I’ve been having hair analysis done for two years. What I’ve learned is the importance of having the ratios in balance. They work in teams. Ca/P, Na/K, Ca/k, Zn/Cu, Na/Mg, Ca/mg, Fe/Cu These ratios affect metabolism.

We have laws regulating white powders but they don't do anything about the most dangerous one of all. Sugar.
Thank you @curtisbeers9383. Exactly 😄
And both are controlled and operated by corrupt corporate/government alliances. They get away with because the masses are dumb.
Dumb masses.
"don't do anything about the most dangerous one of all. Sugar." Well, that might be because the food processing industry ( in the West ) make a lot of money selling it 😂
I would never say sugar is the most dangerous of the white crystals/powders. It just happens to be one of the most consumed and pervasive, therefore more dangerous to a larger group of people than the others.
.....and talc. Makeup and baby powder is loaded with it. The FDA is not our friend.
For years now I've stayed away from salt to avoid high blood pressure. Yet, I've had 75% of these signs. Thank You, Doc I wish you were around when I was in HS most people would've been in better shape. 🙏
_Whole_ salt (not stripped table salt which is garbage) does not raise blood pressure. It's got all the natural components still in tact which makes it healthful. Celtic Sea Salt, Himalayan, Redmonds...etc. The studies on bp were done with table salt which is simply NaCl without the natural constituents that are designed to go with it.
You are welcome @motivason. Thank you for watching. 😄
Yeah, back in the day we had to actually read books and travel to health seminars to know this stuff
I have salt sensitivity high blood pressure when consuming regular table salt. However, whole real salt such as Himalayan does not bother me at all
I have high blood pressure too. Been taking a pill for that for over 30 years now and it doesn’t bother me. (I’m 69)
Yet, since I am using Himalay salt daily I feel better, have less leg cramps and I love the taste of it. I make sure I can sprinkle it on something every day. Ever tried homemade fresh bread with REAL butter and just some Himalay salt???? 😋😋😋
The dark background is comfortable for my eyes and your soothing talking is same for my ears ! So I can always enjoy your videos in the evening after a stressful day of work, to remind myself how my health is more important than any other things and how much I have to do to take care of my body..
Thank you so much for all the efforts you put in these videos 🙏
Probably the only online doctor’s whose advise I follow, much to my improved health dealing with diabetes and peripheral neuropathy. Thank you Dr Ekberg for your concise and clearly presented explanation (lecture) that is very easy to understand and consume. This particular video is gold for me, God bless you, Sir.
I like to watch Dr. S. Ekberg, Dr. E. Berg, and Dr. K. Berry. 😊
Do you have insulin resistance? Fatty liver ?
Look into photobiomodulation using red/NIR light for your conditions. All the best! I use Lifepro Bioheal, also!
Sodium most likely the most important mineral for humans. Yet it is frowned upon by many medical doctors.
Magnesium Taurate is best for the heart. Not sure for potassium. What you think @dr. Ekberg?
Makes you wonder...
Because these doctor buffoons dont even understand. The sodium / potassium pump, sodium and potassium are on a shared axis and need to be kept in balance, its around 4 grams of each daily. But if you had 4 grams of sodium without equivalent potassium you will in short order, have serious health issues.
Instead of instructing decreasing sodium, doctors should prescribe increased potassium. These well-meaning (arrogant) medical numb-skulls are seriously affecting peoples health in the negative.
I use pink salt in our soft water but not sure how much to use. For now I use 2 large pinches of it
Mineral salt from Redmonds Real Salt. Not regular table salt which is ultra processed. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
Very good explanation about soil depletion. Goes in line with Michael Pollan’s In defence of food. Hats off to your work doc
Many countries are deficient in Boron so the plants and animals consumed are bereft of this critical mineral. Boron is an enabling mineral that allows the body to absorb magnesium, potassium and others.
Absolutely, it's essential and most people don't know anything about it. It's easy to become deficient, especially if you don't eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
It's not just helpful for mineral absorption, it's essential for bone growth - deficiency causes osteoporosis directly. Also important for hormone production and metabolism, and wound healing, It even has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. Everyone needs to be getting enough, 3mg/day at the bare minimum.
There is no blood test for serum boron yet so hopefully that will come. Big Pharma probably don't want us to know about Boron either....@@absurdlyobfuscated
I love how you deep-dive topics, in a concise & methodical manner, using plain English science, Dr. Sten. I have informed many that your deep-dive video on cholesterol is easily the best on CZcams, including my doctor & naturopath. I can now add this one to that list. 👍
Beef liver is a great food to help against general fatigue, as beef liver contains all the minerals you need to counter that.
Or liver sausage or liver pate.
Tack Dr Ekberg, du går från klarhet till klarhet. Har aldrig förut lärt mig så mkt som när jag sett dina inslag på CZcams! 👍

Dr. Sten, thank you for explaining this topic beautifully!
Nice work! The theory on migraines makes perfect sense! You've got me pretty close to convinced that I should take that bloodwork course.

Hey Dr.Ekberg, I deeply appreciate your holistic approach to health and wellbeing. I'd love to see a video where you discuss alternative, healthier options to common over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol and Ibuprofen. It would be refreshing to hear an unbiased perspective that truly prioritizes our health over commercial interests. I believe your insight would greatly benefit many of us looking for more natural solutions. Thanks for all that you do!
All these years, reading and hearing about minerals, and finally, I understand the whole thing about them with more clarity
Fascinating commentary on our geology link with mineral electrolytes . Thank You Sten .

Just purchased euLyte. I'm 59 and have many of the symptoms in the video. Fingers crossed !! Thank you
Thank you so much for all the concise, clear and informative videos you present. I am a fairly recent subscriber and am so glad I found you. Electrolytes were a huge topic this last week at a lawn bowling tournament where I am a member. This video answered so many questions that I had.

@@drekberg Dr. Ekbert I bought your electrolytes and they worked well at first but I noticed that they make me tired for exercise. Must be the magnesium. Would you consider making another one for those that need a ton of energy just to get going please? I'm drinking like 5 cups of tea concentrated down to half a cup mixed with 1 1/2 cups of milk for energy but it gets me just enough energy. I do this to avoid pre-workouts and coffee because i think I has to be healthier. Plus pre-workouts powders taste nasty to me. Especially the ones with diet sugar. Oh p.s. please make one without the diet sugar. Thanks so much.
@@akbananachucker2441 what are you talking about? I have his electrolyte product and don't see the diet sugar.
@@vatren765 it says it in the other ingredients list, stevia leaf extract.
stevia leaf extract is not sugar. It's called natural sweet, not processed like sugar, evil white powders.
I have a friend who cut out salt completely, now he’s very sick. He has low sodium, don’t stop taking salt
The whole planet is one giant mineral and we still manage to be mineral deificient
Thank you Dr. always so fascinating and informative. Listen and learn for me ❤
Health and nutrition is my hobby. I read a lot about it, (and watch videos), out of natural interest and curiosity. This video is by far the most important one I have ever seen. This is the foundation of of health in a nutshell.
You are gold, wonderful doctor!
45 years ago this hatred of sodium had already become the health rage. But I knew that 20 years earlier, salt tablets were available at gyms and other places where sweating took place. So while I was working construction in the summer, I realized I felt better, had less thirst if I included a bag of salty potato chips with lunch.
The fact that he didn't end the video mentioning he sell a minerals supplement was amazing... Genius!
Thank you @i1pro 😄
He did though.
Even if he did it's fine if it align with content and what he's doing is not wrong in illegal or immoral manner .
Agreed. It’s appropriate content, not an endless marketing video. Well done!
Did you even watch the whole video? It was not at the end, but about 2/3 the way through.
Very valuable information. Thank you.
Chock full of useful information (nothing new for Dr. Ekberg, I know). I intend to rewatch a good few times. Thank you, Dr. Ekberg, for continuing to provide trustworthy information in the promotion of improved health. 💜💜

Before watching this video I only took your euLyte Electrolyte product only when I fasted multiple days. I now understand that I should be taking it daily. The part where you mention synthetic fertilizers makes total sense. Thanks for the education Dr. Ekberg. ❤
Perhaps there is a market opportunity for a fertiliser manufacturer who included minerals and trace elements in their products?
Thank you @SalLazuka. I'm glad to hear it. 😄
Thank you so much big boss!
Very informative as usual Thank you. I bought your Euvexia eulyte powder on my second purchase now i find a good improvement 100% will continue to use Thanks again

I've been told in other videos (in the Low Carb-Keto community) that B1 is good for numbness and tingles too; I had it bad back before I started Keto/Fasting. I learned about it several months later in the journey (whilst losing weight); started taking B1(as Benfotiamine) with great success (was already getting enough potassium. magnesium, salt). Topical liquid ionic magnesium immediately relieves with my rare cramps if mess-up and don't get enough salt/magnesium - I work in the heat outdoors.
How do we know if low in pottassuim
What Dr are best to get understanding of levels as conventional does do
Beautiful journey showing deltas through functional examples, thanks :)
Dear Dr. Love your videos as they helped me loose weight and i am at my goal weight and hav been for almost a year.
You are such a pleasure to listen to. You make a VERY complicated message easily understandable. I suffered with muscle cramps for years and never once did any of my PCP's tell me I was deficient in magnesium. I began taking a supplement and they stopped.
Excellent video - thank you

Here is a ChatGPT summary:
- Minerals are elements or chemical compounds made from single atoms or combinations of different atoms.
- Minerals are usually in a crystalline structure and are formed by geological events.
- There are over 5,500 different kinds of minerals, but the ones essential to human health are the ones that make their way into the human body or plants.
- Electrolytes are important minerals that conduct electricity and are involved in fluid balance and signaling in the body.
- The four main electrolytes are sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, along with chloride, phosphate, and bicarbonate.
- Electrolytes form compounds with other substances and become positively or negatively charged ions.
- Electrolytes are needed in relatively large quantities, while trace minerals are needed in smaller amounts but are equally important.
- Copper and iron can become toxic if there is an excess in the body.
- Manganese and zinc are essential trace minerals involved in various enzymatic reactions.
- Signs that indicate a need for minerals and electrolytes include dizziness, heart arrhythmias, muscle cramps, headaches, numbness and tingling, mood swings and irritability, slow wound healing, dry flaky skin, digestive issues, poor immunity, and general fatigue.
- Soil depletion due to mass farming and synthetic fertilizers has led to mineral deficiencies in many people.
- Anemia can be caused by a deficiency in iron, B vitamins, zinc, or copper.
- Dehydration and lack of proper signaling can also contribute to general fatigue and blood sugar regulation issues.
- Chromium and manganese are important for insulin sensitivity and blood sugar regulation.
Thanks Doctor Ekberg

I really appreciate this Dr Ekberg. I watch a lot of your videos so clicked on this just because it’s new. I have been noticing lately my heart skipping beats more than it used to and I was wondering what it could be. I know it’s not a guaranteed fix, but I’ve just ordered potassium and magnesium supplements! It will be interesting to see if that calms things down. Thanks so much!
It should help, also realize that consuming too many oxalates can remove some of those minerals from the blood leading to your symptoms.

Good info. Thanks.
excellent video, as on the carnivore diet, i had some of these symptoms that resolved after adding elektrolyes (Na, K and Mg) and reducing coffee. spot on.
very nice shirt too.
I've read especially for postmenopausal women we tend to be high in iron unless we regularly donate blood so its best to avoid cast iron cookware.
Thank you for another insightful presentation Dr. Ekberg.
I doubt that iron oxide has any absorbable value to worry about. Like worrying about using stainless steel cutlery because it has chromium and iron in it.
That was so very insightful. Everytime i watch one of your vdos, i am inspired to eat as healthy as i can
There are also an issue with refining vegetables and fruid to have them more resistant to pests and bugs and extend their ability to shelf life and long teansports and this typically have less nutrition in them. I think it was at the Endevr channel I saw a documentary on this So if you have possibility it could be worthwhile to try and get some heirloomseeds and grow some of your own vegetables, even in a pot indoors with artificial light or at a balcony. Kids often think it's a fun project too already at a very young age.

My favourite ones are magnesium and zinc. Others are required, but not as critical as these two.
Wow. Thank you!
Excellent talks.
I believe you''ve done at least one video talking about your week's menu, and how you get your calories and macronutrients. But, have you done a video about your week's menu, and the vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and essential fatty acids in that menu? I'm looking at the Ka, Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mn, and Se, in food and drink. I put potassium choride in my drinking water, along with ascorbic acid, as part of my nutrient package.

I have Hemochromatosis. Five years ago my Ferritin level was 4580. I was 58 years old then. I didn’t know I had Hemochromatosis. I was experiencing night sweats and leg cramps every single night. I got the blood test for genetic hemochromatosis. Nobody on my Mother’s side of the family lived past 64 years of age, and I believe this was due to undetected hemochromatosis. I have had dozens of phlebotomy treatments since 2018, and I am still required to have a phlebotomy treatment every 4 months now. My liver has been affected and my energy levels are very low. Good thing I eat very low carb Whole Foods and I weigh 170lbs at 5’11”.
