@@natejennings5884 I actually don't think that they have much of a choice. I mean it was recently alleged that SBI attempted to extort GameScience for 7 million dollars lest they get bad reviews. The only reason GameScience didn't bother is because they know just how much gamers value the opinions of reviewers (which is none)

Honestly, this narrative has been getting old for the better part of the last ten years, and Iâm old enough to remember that no-one *EVER* complained about Barret from FF VII, mostly because they would have been laughed and whistled out of polite society back in those days.
The issue with the McKenzie study is that one of their primary findings was the more diversity in your workforce, the higher your profits. Well duh, the more people you employ, the more diverse you are going to be, and the more people you employ, the more money you have to be making to justify having them employed. Johns Pizza in Wyoming has 13 employees and 12 are white, compare that to Walmart and you will get McKenzie results. Statistics are 1/2 bullshit, because you either find an answer, or you make the answer you want. Just like I did.
Some truly believed it though. That guy recently outed for admitting Disney deliberately overlooks white men when hiring and even a black guy for not being 'black enough' even though he was the best person for the job also said the reason for it is Disney believed the lie DEI would lead to retention of existing audiences with an added increase of a 'modern audience' resulting in more profit. They clearly didn't research and whilst they'll never admit they got it shockingly wrong, they're all going to have to pivot if they want to survive. Even Disney.

The studios are ending THEMSELVES - The only reason they hire "consultant" companies like SBI is because they don't have an internal department yet. This is driven by people, scaring marketting departments, into adhering to modern activism.

What is companies are starting to find out is that the audience they're trying to cater to you know the handful of them on Twitter those people represent a vast minority and they also don't want to buy your product in the first place they just want to complain about it.
All you have to do is look at Bud light as they are the ultimate case study for a company that is trying to capture an audience or appease an audience that doesn't care about the product.

Itâs far higher than 400k on sweet baby detected. Iâm one of 5 (9 peak) gaming group of friends with a single sub to the curator and inform my gaming friends when an alert is posted. Thatâs now 5, up to 9 people who wonât or are far less likely to purchase. I think for an accurate number the 400k should be doubled or tripled as my scenario is not unique.
Lady said all one needs to know. It was justified by economics and realistically nothing else is, including war which you aren't fighting and in general.
How are companies still hiring them with all the failed projects them have? You would think their name would be like venom to developers. As an engineers if there was a construction inspection company that caused multiple projects to be fauilers, I would have that companies name on a do not hire list.

He made the game as a way to promote his Kenyan heritage (as a Nigerian, i can appreciate) but his big mistakes were getting involved with SBI and their toxic identity politics. Everyone might be coming at this the wrong way. You ever seen The Producers? How 2 guys try to make the worst possible musical imaginable so they can profit from the failure and run off with the money? This feels similar to that, except everything went according to plan and the game failed as expected.
