Hi Strim, i dont know if you have done a specific video on that but you often mention « the leveling process »and the « endgame character ». Somehow it seems that you flip completely your character once you reach level 20. Could you show and explain what it is that you do and what objective is by doing so. Thx , you re the best 👍🏻
Depending on the video and build, he does a few different things.
1) Reset enhancements: At the bottom of each tree, there's a button that says "Reset". You spend a tiny bit of platinum and get back all of the enhancement points you spent in the tree. For example, you might invest more points into the "Kensei" tree of Fighter during the levelling process, then reset and invest points into "Stalwart Defender" to become tankier at endgame.
2) Feat Swap: There's a friendly mindflayer in House J named "Fred". Depending on your level, you trade him specific Siberys Dragonshards, and you can literally swap one feat for another. A common use is you can't take "Completionist" level 1, so you can go to Fred and swap any feat for completionist if it's unlocked
3) Lesser Reincarnation: This is the most expensive method. It requires a Lesser Heart of Wood, but it essentially lets you redo most aspects of your character without spending any platinum or dragonshards.
The reason he changes the character between levelling and endgame is because different things are better at different stages of the game. For example, it's difficult to level as a Cold Sorcerer/Alchemist due to immunities, but it's the best DPS endgame if you have optimized builds. At higher levels, you can bypass those immunities.
I'm currently leveling a pure 20 dwarf barb as a tank. playing as tank entire time. Yeah its slower leveling compared to regular barbs... and I doubt it will be the best tank by far...(multi class fighter/pally/arti are best) but I already know it will have a crap ton of HP and tons of healing amp (had almost 7k as a normal barb last life), figure somewhere in mid 300s prr at least and at least 250 mrr and about 180 spell resistance that should help with not having saves as high as say a pally tank. (being I can get about 160 on a normal barb) All just because I wanted to finish my last heroic barb past life but was tired of doing the same barb builds and wanted to see how bad it will be. Helps having racial and heroic completion for sure. Just wish you could use combat expertise while ragging to get a higher ac.
How do you allocate points if you dont have access to 32points builds ? I self locked myself for your paladin build I didnt notice I was on a 28 points build and now he is lvl 4 with access to spells but unable to use them because of too low ability score :DDD
If you get a wisdom item you should be able to be able to cast some spells!

Great stuff as usual. I like melee characters and the play style - they just underperform so much compared with casters.
I used to think that too... but it is situational. Some melee's are great at boss fights, but casters by far way faster and better for trash and yeah... more versatile by far. My favored soul can instant kill, do 2 types of dps (light/fire and so much it usually 1 shots everything but bosses in game), multiple types of cc, very mobile, and heal, all at the same time and be maxed at doing all those things and never even comes close to running out of spell points even in long boss raid fights.
@@middleagedgamers7750 I'm also playing a FvS now. It's a blast (pun intended). I tried to be a bit tanky as well as I play with another friend and he is currently a rogue, so we needed someone to be more HP/Tanky - works pretty great so far on heroics
