    Well, those twenty minute's felt more like only five. That's a sign of a good video. I'm like yourself, i get frustrated at thing's then rant lol. Lovely to know that your family member was coming to stay especially after lockdown alone. It's been a horrid year or so all round. Loved the scenery and splendid walk. What a beautiful channel you've created. Cheers.

    Another great video Patrick. Back one summer in the late seventies, some friends and I went camping in Buxton on our bikes, but we never made it, because we underestimated the time it would take to get there. So we ended up camping in a field, near Taddington. A lovely lady who lived nearby bought us tea and toast in the morning! We went for an explore the next morning and walked alongside the river at Cheedale. I remember it vividly, but I could never remember where it was all these years later. Now, thanks to your video, I know.

    Watched this one whilst waiting to see how the weather pans out. Loved those stepping stones. Hope you had a good birthday Patrick. 90 minutes of my 60th was spent at the chiropractor, trying to sort out my back😂😂😂😂. I see this walk took you the best part of eight hours, which goes to show how much time and effort it takes just to record these walks, then you have to edit the film, lay on the musical track etc......

    • @solitaryrambler
      @solitaryrambler  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks Paul, yeah the birthday was really nice. Hope you've recovered now! It did indeed take nearly 8 hours to film this, the reason why I kept mentioning the time as I went along. I might expand on that in a future film. Thanks again Paul 👍

    Another lovely video Patrick. I've got 26 of your videos saved into a playlist on my CZcams account... more than any other film maker. I find it helps with my anxiety levels too. As lots of other film makers stare into the camera for long periods and it affects my anxiety a lot being stared at. Yours are very mellow and you set the camera up in lots of different situations. And show us lots of scenery. I have found that with some of your videos like the Hollow Of Hutton the cover photo doesn't look like it was sunny so I've shied away from it.. . Only to find out later it's different than that. I'm pleased you're still making these great videos for us. Thanks Patrick.

    Hey Patrick I resonate with you swearing mate. Some situations call for a blow out in frustration. But a nice calming walk after the storm is always welcome. And this did not disappoint. The other Wye sure does have a lot to offer. That gorge is mesmerizing. I can imagine the constant look up, down and around and what with unique steps to negotiate stimulating on all levels. Cool to meet some more folk and about to. Good going. Have a great weekend. Mark

    Fantastic walk Patrick. Some real highlights there. Chee Dale sure is beautiful. Tough question - which of the Peak District dales is your favourite? I agree that a walk is the perfect antidote to improve a stressful situation. I’ve not been out in the Peaks for a few weeks as I’ve been moving house. Really missing the place and can’t wait to get back out soon. Always nice to watch one of your videos though to help remind me how beautiful it is there

If you head south to Milltown (also now a house) was The Greyhound and just down the lane towards Butterley remains the Miners Arms.
