Let's talk with the truth here, old school calisthenics are THE way to progress in calisthenics. High sets and overall reps are the key for almost everything. I know incredible strong people that get them strenght by just endurance training.
tens of thousand years from now, in a museum somewhere: You can see here these legendary blue shorts which influenced the development from Sapiens into Calisthenicus. They were found frozen in the molten core of Earth, probably from too many reps that upset the laws of physics and gravity.
@@aceplayys7847 ive heard about it. They do it fast though so not the same. The form matters the most going slow its not so much about how many reps. The marines do at least 300 pushups in the morning.
I'm so jealous of this guy. I will never have his handsome face even if I were to get to his level of athletic excellence. I mostly do jogging and pushups though.
Alright. Muscle confusion is what I call it. It works great in forcing your muscles to adapt and overcome what your body isn’t used to. I loved doing that every now and then
I hit a plateau in pull up just before 15 reps... Can this be useful with half of the total volume? For example 13 reps at first and then all I got until I reach 50?
This is basically a "One Punch Man workout" :). I've tried the same thing without resting. It's pretty time consuming and not very effective but it's definitely an interesting experience.
It's normal for people to have uneven size on the other half of body. This could make uneven strength. To avoid this focus more on unilateral exercises (one limb at a time). And one more thing always have proper technique.
easiest way is to do push ups but move your body so its more weight on the weak chest you want to grow. lean to that side and extend the other arm, you can even bend a leg, just google push up variations.
He's hinting that he is indeed Saitama. 100 reps, coincidence, I think not. Also I think what he's saying is, to do normal consecutive punches rather than one serious punch to break thru a plateau.
My main goal is gaining strength but in the next 2 weeks I'll try this kind of workout to build some endurance as a trial to get through plateau.. But I'm afraid of losing some strength in this period does it possible? .. and thx a lot for this great channel.
Does "grease the groove" method work with low reps for strength? Can I do it along with my normal workouts? If not should I avoid working the muscles I already work on "grease the groove" or a workout all together?
The guy in the video looks like he's a first year lifter. He doesn't need to be talking about breaking through muscle growth plateaus. Anyone could get that big with a traditional weight lifting regiment in the 6-12 range without having to do anything advanced like 100 rep capilarization training.
I'm confused about the title. It says "...for Muscle Growth". But then in the video(1:46), it states that this is too many reps for muscle growth. So shouldn't the title be "...for Breaking Through a Plateau" or something like that?
It can be used to set a new stimulus for your muscles. The result can be muscle growth because your body is not used to this method. It's not optimal on a regular basis, but very good to mix things up. There are a lot of other methods to build muscle but doing them in every workout is not ideal.
I am no expert in this area but why are you pushing your shoulders forward in the end of a push-up? I’ve always been taught to never push them like that...but since you are the expert I should rethink this... Thanks for this video

Quick and Precise! That's great information! Great job!
so we're supposed to do this like once a week ?
I don't believe that's it. I think it's when you reach a point you're progress gets stuck, its a good way to get a different stimulus to your body :)
Great way to break plateaus!! I used this method with handstand holds to increase my max hold until I reached 2 minutes! Great quality video
