Great Reaction. The World Cup does not start until 21st November and is continuous for one month. Manchester City's opponents Real Madrid were 170/1 to beat City in the 90 minutes to force an extra half hour and were 200/1 to qualify for The Final in a 2 horse race! Otherwise, it would be City v Liverpool and Real Madrid v Liverpool will be a great atmosphere but do you want a SENSATIONAL ATMOSPHERE? Then watch the Secondary European Final called The Europa Cup between 2 incredible sets of fans who will both fly over 100,000 fans to Seville in Spain for the Final THe Ground only holds 43,000 LOL

30 years ago all football clubs in Spain were owned by the fans. Because of high debt almost all of them, were forced by the government to convert to registered companies. The four remain fan-owned clubs, the ones having no debt at that time, are: Osasuna, Athletic Club of Bilbao, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. You can hate the fact but that's reality, and you can find videos of full (5 hour or more) socios assemblies here in youtube with Florentino Pérez presenting and voting the accounts and the budget for the next year, and even famous electoral debates among candidates.

However the actual power of normal members in managing the club or controlling the direction of the club is not that big. The chairman and the board of directors actually control the clubs. Since there is a Spanish law stipulated that the board of directors and chairman is liable for the running loss of the club for two years or more consecutive financial loss seasons. They can be sued by the government and may need to pay for the loss. Thus only very rich guys dare to be chairman or directors. In reality a bunch of privileged very wealthy men and women are controlling those clubs. It is not as rosy as it seems. There are also a lot of problems.

Real Madrid is the greatest club in football history, they've won more than any other club, they alone have won more champions league than all the current Premier league Clubs combined.
I do agree that the English league is the most competitive league recently, but they don't have the best teams, 2 years ago Bayern won the champions league after destroying Chelsea and Tottenham (2 top 4 premier league teams at the time)
Real Madrid just knocked Man city out of the champions league a week ago, and City is the best team currently in the premier league, Real Madrid is the best team in the Spanish league.
Eintracht Frankfurt (placed number 12 in the German league) just knocked West Hamm (placed number 7 in the English league) out of the Europa League.

The narrator really don't know about the leagues and it is very uneducated on football when you undermine other leagues. The leagues he was bashing on for no reason have knocked english teams out in the Champions league. The champions league before the last one 4th team in french league knocked out the Premier league champions. Yes, 4th team from french league knocked out the champions of premier league. And about the spanish league, I request to check who were the champions of Europe in last 10-15 years. It's always Barcelona or Real Madrid except for a season or two when they slip up. So according to quality, Spanish league is the best league in the world. The only thing Premier league is best at is the competition and the revenue. But The english team have alwyas been beaten by the spanish teams and we will see another demonstration of that in the final. Altho I hate real madrid and want them to lose but they are gonna win. The ignorance form premier league fans are unbelievable.

I don’t think he mentions it (not finished the video yet) but there’s actually a group stage in the Champions League before the knockout games start. It’s 8 groups of 4, each team play each other twice, once at home and once away and the top 2 teams from each group go through to the knockout stages. 2 teams from the same country can’t meet in the group stages and it’s based on where you finished in your league the last season, so all the teams who finished top of their league can’t meet in the group stages either. They actually messed up the draw for the knockout stages this season as they took Man United out of the draw so they wouldn’t meet one of the other English teams (they can’t meet until the 1/4 finals) and forgot to put them back in so they had to have a redo

John Henry is actually american (I think? but his companies is.) He also owned the Boston Red Sox. He's the one who approached Oakland Athletics for their moneyball theories.
    My opinion on the leagues.
    1. Premier League - the most competitive league, the hyped league, the peak-career league. Proven youngsters will go here for the competitive nature. Decent Champions League record. Featured 2-3 clubs consistent there with Liverpool leading the race. A lot of great managers goes here to take a bite.
    2. La Liga - the endgame league especially for Americas region. Big history of stars played here. Featured 2 of the strongest club in history. Their clubs also performed well on Champions League and Europa League with Real Madrid leading.
    3. Serie A - old school league. Kinda slow league. Dubbed the defensive league because they had long history of great defenders here. Decorated in Champions League. Ac Milan were strong. Right now, most of them are in rebuilding mode. Sometimes veterans on the game would go here to finish the career.
    4. Bundesliga - the entry league for proven Asia players. The crop league 😂 Because Bayern will get all the talents here and more. Bayern is one of Champions League favourite every year.
    5. Eredivisie - the other entry league for players all over the world. Birthed tons of talented youngsters over the years. Ajax is one of the best academies. Maybe consistent Champions League records.
    6. Ligue 1 - there's PSG. One of the richest clubs in the world but personally, the dropout league. Failed players from other leagues often ended up here to restart career or just retired. Nothing impressive here except for PSGs money.

I feel like there is quite an underestimation of leagues and teams in the video, and the guy puts the Premier League and its teams higher than they actually are in comparison with the rest. Specially when it comes to Spain. There are also a few things that he ommits when talking about Real Madrid that I think are very important for you to know what to expect on the final (which by what he says it seems like it would be an easy Liverpool win).
First of all, Real Madrid is historically the king of Europe when it comes to Champions League. They have 13 Champions League titles, which is almost double what AC Milan has (7) and that's the second team with the most titles. Liverpool is tied on third place with Bayern Munich and they have 6 Champions Leagues each. It is also important to know that these numbers are not just because Real Madrid has a very long history. In the last decade Real Madrid has won 4 Champions League titles in five years (only time that has ever happened) and three of those four titles were in consecutive years (also fist time ever).
When it comes to this year's final, there is some extra spice to it because in the 2018 final the score was Real Madrid 3-1 Liverpool. Liverpool has a very strong team this year and I'm sure they'll be looking for revenge. However, you shouldn't underestimate Real Madrid as they have won the spanish league title and have proven they have a very strong team: over the elimination rounds Real Madrid has defeated Chelsea (the former champion), PSG and Manchester City (two of the favourites).
So yeah, whatever happens in the final I'm pretty sure it will be a really good and competitive game.
Really enjoy your videos. Best of wishes from Madrid
Edit: We won the Champions League again. You just can't beat the King of Europe!

If Liverpool do the Quad or trio I'm going to watch the parade in Liverpool City centre and film it and put a link up for you. I will have to get the bus to town as far as it can go then walk the rest of the way. I'm excited for Sunday.
Have a good weekend Sarah ❤️🤗

Just as a general rule, the top 5 leagues are: England, Spain, Italy, Germany & France (and then Portugal's & Netherland's maybe), so the top clubs of those countries are usually the ones that make it pass group stage c:
PS. The Real Madrid way to the final was ridiculous, to say the least. What you heard they did vs PSG, being 2-0 down and climbing back to knock them out is LITERALLY their whole knockout stage. Its so stupidly ridiculous that sounds like a movie script. They were also 2-0 down vs Chelsea, and they ALSO came back and beat them. At semifinals, vs Man. City, guess what? they were 2-0 down AND ALSO CAME BACK. Literally in the last 2 min of the game they drew 2-2, went on extra time and won. And they did the same in the domestic league vs Sevilla who were #3 in the league. Its just ridiculous

Don't let media or anything/anyone dictate your choice of support. There are any number of reasons to follow a club... ethnic or religious background, political affiliation, the established culture of the club's supporters, trade union affiliation, etc.
It's perfectly OK to root for an American player when he's wearing national colors, and against him if his shirt bears the wrong crest in club competition. European football leagues are like American leagues in the sense that players jump from club to club all the time.
Finally, it's just fine to support an MLS club. No, our domestic league isn't as good as the best of Europe. So what? It is an entertaining enough league... and it's HERE. You don't have to wake up at 6AM to watch your team. Good enough reason for me.

I'm a Celtic fan (order restored, League Champions, Hail Hail), and wake up very early to watch a lot of games.
True, there are some games which take place in the late afternoon or evening, GMT. But, the time difference is undoubtedly a factor around which foreign fans of European clubs must plan.

The difference between leagues made the number of teams in the competition (there are 32 places until the 23-24). Leagues like Premiere, La Liga and Bundesleague have 4 teams each (5 if the champion is from theirs), Ligue 1 and Serie A have 3 each, and Eridivsie and Primeira Liga have 2 each.
The quality of the leagues changes for the money that teams have in every league: many of the Premiere teams are bursatil companies (like ManU, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, etc.) or propierty of men associated to oil & gas companies (like Chelsea, ManCity, NewCastle) so they have money to spend. Meanwhile the spanish teams are associations (Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Athletic de Bilbao, Valencia) where the partners can vote to get a new Club president so its money comes from their hability to get results that get them contracts and money to expende in new and better players. In leagues like Serie A, the French, the Bundesleague there is a mix between associations and companies tha own the clubs (like Juventus that its propiety of the Angely Family owners of FIAT).
In historic results of the competition, Spain has the most with18 championships of 66 tournaments between 2 teams with championships and 2 more in Finals, and next England with 14 (between 5 teams with championships and 4 more with finals), Italy with 12 (between 3 teams and 3 more in finals ) and Bundesleague (between 3 teams with championships and 3 more with finals)
Real Madrid is the most succesful with 13 championships of 16 finals (they have now 17 waiting to play to Liverpool) and next AC Milan (7 of 11); FC Bayern (6 of 11), Liverpool (6 of 9 - waiting on RM on May 20th) and FC Barcelona (5 de 8).
In the last 30 years Spain has dominated the competition with FC Barcelona winning 5 champioships in 6 finals and Real Madrid winning 7 trophies.

Liverpool is actually the most succesfull english footballteam ever, by counting trofies and titles. Yes, thay have had a struggle during the 2000's cuz of recent owners almost drove them into bankruptcy (hours away), but in 2010 FSG with John Henry bought the club and since then the journey to their first PL-title in 30 years began. It's the biggest tournament in club football.
How teams qualify for the champions league.
The teams that finished in the top 4 positions of their domestic league qualify for the biggest leagues, for smaller leagues it's either 3 or 2 or even 1 and some have to do extra qualifiers.
Once in the champions league teams are divided into mini leagues of 4 and the top 2 of those mini leagues qualify for knockouts.
Once in the knockouts the teams play each other twice home and away at their stadiums if the scores are equal after the 2 matches it then goes to extra time and penalties.
Once in the final it's exactly the same as the world Cup.

    Real Madrid - 13
    Liverpool - 6
2018 Champions League Final was between these two sides, Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1. Liverpool are the better team now, but Real Madrid just have this way of always performing in this competition, their last 3 opponents (PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City) all completely dominated Madrid over their two games home and away, but against all the odds, still beat all three and made it to the Final.
