    Hearing all of your science and biology knowledge reaffirms just how important it is to find a highly trained, specialized cosmetic dermatologist. We only have one face and as much as I love relaxing with a nice facial, nothing an esthetician offers can compare to these sort of results and safety!

    I actually think a flat undereye area with no curve can age certain people because it lengthens the midface. If you look at young people their undereye area isn't completely flat. Of course eye bags age you but I think the flat look does not look natural or very youthful but that's just me maybe?

    Hi! I totally agree with your comments on PRP. I had Vobella a few years ago and it lasted for three years. I was then talked into PRP by a another practitioner and spend about the twice the money for three treatments. I did not see much in the way of results after two treatments, but since I paid for the third one, I may have to go through with it. As you said, the results last for a week or two and then they go away. Sigh!

    Thank you Dr Kappel. I'm in the UK and have been looking for a practitioner/Doctor for under eye hollows for years. We just don't seem to have a system for finding a great, reputable, and highly experienced provider, in a specific aesthetic field here in the UK. There are "top surgeons ' listings, but not necessarily in the particular field of expertise that I'm looking for. How do we find the right provider in the UK for our specific needs please? I've been putting off having treatment for years because of this and obviously, the under eye hollows are worse now, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
    My under eye hollows have thin skin and the veins underneath are clearly visible. I wish you were here in the UK! Do you have any recommendations please?

    Would you recommend Kybella for slight jowling in a 40 year old with mainly just a little fat / puffiness there, and not much skin laxity there at all? Or just stick to thermage even though it is much more expensive? Thank you in advance! Your videos are amazing 🤩

    Question
    If you only do from cheeks up with co2 is it possible to see two different skin shades once you heal? Is it better to do the entire face? I need under eyes, uppers and a little cheek toning 😂 lower half is fine. Thanks doc for your answer

    Hi! You mentioned avoiding retinoids under the eye, I noticed your eye masks have retinol. Can you help explain why it would be ok to use retinol under the eyes?

      Good question. I saw what something like Altera did, so no way i will ever try that on me. From my experience, even Darsonval ( micro currents); made my under the brow area thinner, i had more fat there. It is a little bit more tight, but thinner and i dont like this .

    I noticed in your videos that you can barely move any part of your face. It makes me acared to do certain procedures. Ive done botox and i have ocd and it freaks me out that i cant move my face! Im an actor and facial expressions are how i express myself! What kind of procedures do you suggest where i can still move my face and i dont look like im wearing a mask?!

    • @luzelena22
      @luzelena22 Před 4 měsíci +4

      @xosunshineoxsunshine436 I have OCD and when I got botox I began obsessing over the lack of my forehead facial movements. I disagree. It is an OCD trait. I immediately realized I can't do this to my face since I began getting intrusive thoughts on moving my face excessively just because I wasn't able to bc of botox injections. I studied psychology and according to the DSM-5, ocd is just that. Obsessive and intrusive thoughts of repetitive behavior, whatever they may be. And in this case it was the lack of freedom of my facial movements. Thank you for the kind words towards the end. Take care.

      She might not make many facial expressions because that is just her. My mom has raised her eyebrows all her life and has deep forehead wrinkles that she never treated. I never realized my eyebrows and had no forehead wrinkles. Recently, my allergies have made me raise my forehead due to sinuses. I now see very fine, almost not there lines and I am treating them with Frownies right now but going to my allergist to get treated so I don’t raise my eyebrows. Basically, I am saying, some people just don’t make many facial expressions so it might not be the Botox and fillers but just them.

    Thank you for the free laser education.
    I am 46 yrs old and the only lasers I have had is IPL & underarm laser hair removal. I was thinking of doing IPL again although I saw the slightest improvement. I have fair skin and no dark spots and no texture issues. IPL made me slightly brighter.

    • @heidilongman8128
      @heidilongman8128 Před 6 měsíci +1

      IPL is not a laser. It’s intense pulsed light. It requires less education to use. If you’re looking for bigger results do laser. You’ll need to find a cosmetic dermatologist who has lasers, not just a medispa. I’ve done both and the results are definitely better with lasers. It’s more expensive but you’ll need less treatments so in my experience it’s more cost effective too.

    Dr. A lot of dermatologists don’t recommend Fraxel or Vbeam or CO2 under the eye (specially Dr. Amir Karam) as they say that it causes thinning of the under eye over the years making the under eye area even worse. What’s your take on that?

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  Před 5 měsíci +2

      I respect Dr. Karam and love his work as a plastic surgeon but he is not a dermatologist. Most dermatologist who are fellowship trained in procedural dermatology and laser medicine recommend laser resurfacing fans vbeam for under eye rejuvenation. Many physicians unfortunately do not have this level of expertise. Especially not on CZcams.

    Just started following you and so grateful that you share your expertise. I just started menopause and noticed a loss of fat under my eyes. I've been diligent with using fantastic skin care products (Zein Obaji), some laser treatments to the face and regular botox. I will look into your suggestions moving forward. Know anyone in Toronto? xo
