- KIDD's latest innovation, we have developed a unique barrel interchangeable system with an extra long barrel extension of 1 7/8" length (compared to the standard 3/4" barrel extension). With this design the customer can now easily slip the barrel in and out of the receiver without resistance and still maintain the up most in stability and harmonics. KIDD now offers this alternative with our three part locking and stabilizing system sliding into a reinforced receiver. With a 1 7/8" barrel extension, utilizing an indexing flat, clamping v, and clamping flat. The indexing flat allows the shooter to perfectly time the barrel so that the extractor cut is properly aligned. The clamping v and flat secure the barrel into the receiver with two 1/8" hex head bolts.
In our premium Supergrade line of custom rifles we inlet and bed each rifle. The receiver's front flat and rear tang are bedded. The stock is modified with access points so that the barrel can be removed without removing the stock. WHAT! Yes, you can change to another KIDD Supergrade barrel without even taking the stock off of the rifle. After removing the magazine and making sure the chamber is clear, simply unscrew the two locking screws and pull out the barrel. Then, slip in your next KIDD Supergrade barrel while applying downward pressure and with a slight turn of the barrel. Use the indexing flat to make sure the barrel is properly timed and fully installed. Tighten the two 1/8th hex screws to snug and away you go.
KIDD is transitioning from the threaded Supergrade Rifle to our slip fit Supergrade Rifle in order to provide the customer with increased flexibility for barrel options. We have always provided a superior Supergrade Rifle but the threaded receiver system doesn't allow the customer the option to change a barrel which has always been at the heart of this 22 style rifle. KIDD's new rifle system easily affords the customer this option and with our complete rifle, even goes a step further and allows the shooter to change a barrel without removing the stock!
Our Supergrade receiver still comes with the easy access rear cleaning hole and interchangeable low scope base with varying MOAs available. A zero degree scope base will come installed on the receiver and an optional of 10, or 20 MOA can be purchased to assist the shooter in reaching the longer distances. Both the scope base and rear tangs have mating designs to the receiver so that our rifles have great rigidity as well as some customization aspects. We machine each receiver from billet 6061 T6 aluminum and use an anodized finish either black or silver. - Jak na to + styl
Tony Kidd is a genius. It's with good reason the company is named Kidd INNOVATIVE Design. Bravo.
I agree ☝️
Just received notice from my local gunshop that my third Supergrade rifle is in. These things shoot great. The 16” ultralight barrel lets the rifle with optics come in under the 7.5 lb 4H limit for CMP. That barrel also groups very well at 25 and 50 yards. Thanks Tony!
Don't do this, learn from my mistakes, I upgraded 3 Ruger 10-22's in about a year, that was not good enough so I bought a super grade, it's an addiction, Run back to your Marlin's before you get a taste for Kiddjuanna.
I really love my Kidd's, I take them everywhere I can.
I got a 70’s Ruger 10/22 with walnut carbine stock. I got a stainless steel-synthetic stock. I am buying a target 10/22 and thats cheaper for me then screwing up two perfectly good 10/22’s. These barrels cost as much as basic 10/22. If didn’t own 10/22 this would be a no brainer option.
I am so Impressed by all your products!
thanks
Just hit 1000 rounds in the new KIDD, what a treat. I went with the Super grade premium custom build. 18" black 762 fluted 920 bead blasted treaded and capped barrel. Single stage 2.5 pound pull with speed mag release lever, what a great feature. Then I had them add the black scalloped bolt, and the silver black cocking handle. went with there Magpul Hunter X22 and added the rear tang. Then I topped it off with a Vortex Crossfire II 4x12-50mm. I never thought at my age I would have another Kidd, but she's beautiful. This thing will shot a two inch group at 100 yards. I had a little problems with some Win. shells but it spits CCI Mini Mags all day long. I can't wait to enter my first competition, this thing is amazing. My friends can't believe I spent that much, till they shot it. Very helpful people walked me through every step. Was delivered to my FFL early, and well boxed. Worth every Penny.
Great to hear you are happy with your new rifle. We are proud of the rifles we make and feedback like yours is very much appreciated.
Love my Supergrade works great and shoots great
Just bought one of your triggers for my take down. , my feed back will be what else I buy thanks..
I love my supergrade. Can shoot it fast at 50 yards and still get 3/8" 10 shot group. The 2 stage trigger is awesome in it.
WOW.. Great Stuff! I love your products
Love the 10/22 platform.
Looks great!
Wow. Way better than the old ruger clamp.
That's incredible
Fricken genius!
Awesome!
If Tony says the x22 is a good stock, that's what I'll be going with. I'm going to be putting together a Kidd inspired 10/22 here real soon.
Cool, very clever.
Get one with the two stage trigger... my new one rocks!
Beautiful 10/22, definitely plan on buying one. Just wish you offered a different stock for it. I have that stock and feel it's too flimsy for really good accuracy.
Dang, just finished my Kidd build on a factory receiver. That's pretty slick I may have to upgrade! Do you sell these in a barreled action package or are these complete rifle deal only? Awesome stuff
Thanks
Hey love your products. Would love to see you come out with 22 magnum rifles.
Kidd products are top quality.
I'll second that! 👍
The law of the gun not 1700 quality it's just not there.. maybe in a bigger caliber but come on I can get similar results with a 159.00 out the box ruger 10/22...
@@SuperSonofsatan absolutely not. These blow away a factory 10/22. Put your money where your mouth is.
I have shot a KIDD suppressed supergrade for several years. AWESOME product. But no 22 mag.
NOW if I could switch my barrel from 22 LR to 22 MAG I would pay up.
Seriously not gonna happen due to receiver would need to be changed out as well.
But I am waiting for KIDD to make a 22 mag. I keep bugging them about it to no avail. Already have $$ saved up.
Seriously folks, the KIDD 22LR is the most fun someone can have shooting sagerats and when they
decide to charge your gun inplacement, and they will... HA, nice try rodents...
After many thousand rds this thing works like a sewing machine. You can't go wrong with this
weapon. Tight tolerances, great engineering and materials. Once its broke in it can't be beaten.
The trick is learning what to grease and oil and what not too and how much
(22 ammo is dirty, its why I only use CCI high velocity and subsonic).
If it rotates, lightly oil. (pins, ect)
if it slides, lightly grease wear marks only (bolt travel, ect)
and use KIDD oil and grease (sparingly).
I would buy it all over again.
(I'm hearing sagerats crying in the background hoping you'll buy something else, Sorry Rodents, too late!}
Thanks for the complements. We try hard. Just shot a bushel of Potguts and didn't even put a dent in the population. Keep up the good work.
That was VERY INTERESTING. It's a shame I didn't know that SOONER. I've got 2 tricked out 10/22's. One of them has a 1lb heavy barrel the other one has a 3lb hammer forged barrel. They both shoot VERY GOOD so I guess one will be for MATCH SHOOTING and the other for the field.🤔😉😁👍
Bravo
how does switching the barrels affect scope zero?
I have a kidd trigger and some other parts and they all work great!
hey Tony I was gonna do a build using an ati ar stock I like the stock because of its light weight is this a mistake, or should I build on a houge over molded stock
I have this rifle and want to know if there are torque specs to tighten the barrel down? Do you need to remove the set screws to get the barrel off?
We need a Kidd chassis video!!
You're right. I'm the worst at getting videos done. I'll try and shoot something soon.
Haha!! Looking forward to it👍👍. Love your stuff Tony keep up the good work
What length is the Black Ultra light barrel that you are using in this video? Also what length is the silver Bull Barrel?
Tony, we need a Kidd 10/22 Takedown. What do you think?
Anything for Ruger 10/22 Takedown?
I just pray the Lord prevents Biden from shutting this industry down. I am more impressed with your products than any others out there. Good work.
I built my daughter a total KIDD rifle. it shoots great with out a barrel tuner and using sk standard plus ammo. with eley black or red box it does better. we are talking ..2's at 50 yards with cheap ammo. all I can say is thank you. her rifle is a KIDD receiver, spring kit, kidd trigger kit, kidd barrel and basically it is totally KIDD. will it shoot with my bolt gun match rifles with tuners? not on its best day but it shoots damned good
LOL...are all those rifles on the wall chambered in .22LR? If so that's awesome haha! If not, still awesome! ;)
Can I change the barrel 22 LR and 22 short?
I really like firearm innovation, and this looks like a really neat rifle. But, this is still the 22 rimfire, based on the Ruger chassis. Effective range at most 100 yards, regardless of the barrel configuration. There are two screws that secure the barrel to the Ruger receiver. Barrel swaps are not that complicated. If the price point as mentioned in the comments is accurate, price point approaches Volquartsen, and this is a complete custom receiver and rifle.
Does the changeable barrel effect accuracy? Compared to the super grade fixed barel?
Hello quick question is the black barrel 16.5 inches>?
Do you barls for the 10/22 take down version using the factory receiver?
What is the weight is the Kidd Supergrade with a 20" heavy bull barrel and a Magpul stock?
But does it feed, though?
I know this is an old video but are they still made this way? (Still interchangeable?)
So my v block barrel I bought from Kidd 3 years be ago for $280 will not be compatible with this new receiver?
Do the black supergrade barrels always have a silver ring where it enters the receiver? I want to build an all black rifle with no silver showing.
Only our Lightweight Barrels have the silver ring. We offer Black Steel Barrels that will not have any silver showing.
@@tonykidd1394 after looking around a bit, I figured it was the barrel adapter. Thanks.
@@tonykidd1394 I just received my supergrade rifle. What an absolute jewel! I can't wait to shoot it Sunday.
Still sell the receiver?
Price ? Of reciever and barrels
YOUR SET IT…. AND FORGET IT 😅
How long is the barrel in the Magpul stock ?
That one is 20 inches.
I did not see receivers for sale on the website. What receiver do you recommend and from what company.
Go to www.coolguyguns.com for Kidd receivers.
@@coolguyguns10xKIDD thanks for the quick response.
Love mine rather have krg bravo tho
Is that a thread protector on the end of the barrels?
All KIDD barrels have a signature ring at the muzzle. Threaded and non threaded barrels have a similar appearance.
@@coolguyguns10xKIDD thanks for the quick reply!
shame he never comments on his own you tube Chanel.
Sorry about that. By the time I leave the shop at night my brain is already a quart low.
How much is it?
Skeet on a biscuit ????
Awesome product but website says $1700. That's an extreme price point for a .22LR. Unfortunately us common folk can't relate at that price.
Are you sure? Was just on the site and a fully built one looks to be around $1200. I went with the barrel, receiver, trigger and bolt.....about $800 and incredibly accurate
Lots of 10/22 variations out there no need to dog an excellent product
I think you're mistaking JUST a .22 for inexpensiveness. Anschutz Biathlon rifles and Olympic rifles are $5000. It's like steak, you can get sale steak, or Japanese Wagyu. Both steaks, just like Anschutz and the Marlin both are .22's.
Chamber? I assume that is set and can not be changed.
Hi DOCKent-3339, Thank you for your question. Yes, it's chambered for a .22 rimfire. -Good shooting!
@@tonykidd1394 No, that's not what I meant. Chambered for match, Benz, and all. It's all .22LR. However, now that you mention it, the 17HMR would be a winner! (Don't worry. Wait 'til I send you my bill. :-D )
How much does this rifle weigh?
Our rifles weights vary from about 5lbs to 8lbs depending on the options you choose.
will it work with tc/22
Yes
I'm so impressed with your line of products. Your reputation is impeccable. Before I place my order, would you be willing to *donate* an ultralight barreled action to a poor ole country boy from Kentucky, in trade for word of mouth advertising? :)
Six years ago! 😳 Really? Make a 2023 video on the 20" matte black tapered 10/22 barrel. Not a short on either. Can do better than that.
How much
Price varies depending on the options you choose. Please visit our website or give us a call to price one out. www.coolguyguns.com
Hey tony. What do you like to eat on a monday night.
I can always go for some good mexican food from our local spot Pica Taco.
If pica taco is where tony kidd himself eats, you can bet Im gonna be there trying to eat like him so one day i can be as innovative as him
Bottom line is how much? I saw someone say 1700 bucks..not interested.
Website says $1200 for the fully built model. Mine was less, but I don't have a very nice stock.....
