    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
Do I have to heat stretch for length retention?
    - No
What do I do if I get heat damage?
    - Unfortunately, most forms of heat damage are permanent. To maintain length, the best you can do is to temporarily patch it up with weekly REAL Protein Treatments until your hair gets to a length where you are ready to cut out the damaged parts.
Why do you use heat for length retention if it’s not needed?
    - Without heat, I would have to keep my hair extra moisturized and lubricated at all times. My skin is acne prone so, it would be almost impossible for me to avoid breakouts. So, I chose a different route.

I took your advice and lightly blow-dried my hair and my twist out came out right. Adding heating to my regimen has been a game-changer for me. I broke down in tears 😭 because that’s how overwhelmed I was that my hair finally came out righr. Thank you 🙏🏾. Your channel is by far the best channel when it comes to natural hair.

@@GreenBeauty I love your real protein treatment! I added real protein to my moisturizing conditioner when I washed and styled my hair last week. Today I decided I wanted to heat stretch my hair in preparation for a protective style. Since my hair was still clean from the week prior, I simply wet my hair with water and utilized a humectant product I had on hand along with some avocado oil. I blow dried my hair on a medium setting. My hair feels really soft and has bounce just like you said it would. You have found a long term customer in me! I plan on purchasing your herbal oil and your PH balancing spritz. Bless you!

It took me 2 years to decide whether or not I actually wanted to use this video as a guide to using heat on my hair. And let me just say Sis knows her stuff! I’ve been natural 11 years and I’ve ALWAYS hated using any kind of heat bc in return I’d end up with crispy hair. BUT..... once I finally watched this video and practiced the all steps, invested in a better blower dryer, let me tell you!!!! I’ve never gotten soft hair after heat drying NEVER! I did purchase both types of dryers but I liked the one that was safer on our hair.

What you said makes so much sense. I see others with my "4c Hair" but yet and still their hair isn't as thick as mine but clearly a similar texture. Also after paying close attention to my hair this year, I've noticed the back of my hair is a different porosity than the middle and front. It takes forever for the back to dry while the middle and especially the front absorbs water TOO quickly. You're absolutely right about our hair being very diverse. Our hair is amazing. I love this method of heat stretching. I may try it soon. I have all of the products by you that you used in this video. Your protein treatment is my favorite. I love it so much. Love Green Beauty! The time you are taking to educate us is the best! You are right, this is so new for us!! I LOVE that my hair LOVES water not like we were taught. We could have been the best swimmers in the world if we were not concerned about our hair (good grief!). Everything we are learning about products is found in Mother Earth and our kitchens (lol). We no longer have to choose to spend our money in other communities building up their financial base and draining our own. Ladies LEARN to truly LOVE what GOD has blessed us with. We can help (and save money by doing it) each other with the simplest changes... i know it takes time but the results are amazing- our hair (every Afro/black type) is beautiful!! Beautiful hair. Detailed video, as always. I'm loc'd, but I follow your videos because hair is hair, and must be cared for always. Your onion treatment tutorial has been particularly helpful, and has cured my thinning locs problem. I'm most grateful for this. Did you cut your hair? It appears to be shorter than it was in those onion treatment videos. Do have a great day.

I have very tightly coiled, I think low porosity, very not dense, sparse, and thin and thick strands so hard to say on that one. I’ve done heatless stretching but I think a heated stretching might be the best route for me. I am trying to figure out how to stop my major breakage and finally after years get even a little length retention. Glad I found this page.

Me: Cut all my hair off in January, watches video anyway because your voice is so relaxing.
Also, your videos are really informative so I can refer my curly girl friends to this video.
Makes me almost miss my hair, almost...

Thank you sooo much for this! I have high density, very thick strands and low porosity. Since starting my natural journey 3 years ago, I would use heat every other month but would told 'heat is bad'. I've really struggled to dry my hair by stretching as it takes HOURS and still don't have a blow out look. And now I know why. Thank you!!!

The Same here, my hair is so curly it hurts, even when blow dry without a comb, I still have curls. Thanks so much for this information. Gonna try blow drying once per month.

Thank you for knowledge and detail. This is the only and best way to stretch the hair as well as preparation for a silk press(pre dry prior to stretching the hair). Whom ever created the terminology 4C, etc.... considered whom to market it to. The bighest consumers. Hair has 3 textures fine, medium and coarse which is in regards to curl pattern(s). I have preached for 20 years + that you don't have to manipulate the hair with a brush to achieve length or direct heat on contact with hair you can hold the nozzle 4-6 inches away from the scalp and watch the hair pattern change like magic.

Hi, would you present a series on how to care for locs? Specifically, whether protein treatments, moisturizing, oiling etc. are necessary to maintain healthy hair. Thanks

Your hair chart should be made paramount. It has helped me understand my hair a lot in caring for her. And I tried your heat regimen! Boy! Where have you been all my life?! My hair looks so healthy after only two weeks! And my sebum is secreted more frequently. So thick. Thank you queen!

Great video :) Even though my hair is fine hair that's not as tight in texture or density, I still find I benefit from that stretching twice monthly. The heat is VERY low though. It's more so to stretch faster. It doesn't take much and I use a cool/warm dryer to stretch hair that's been mostly air dried
