    Very good and useful!
If you build it with a certain angle in forward end instead than completely straight, you will give vertical support to the front wheel.

I hope you have some rear glass available....'cos....trust me...it's gonna happen...no matter how tight those straps! (Ask me how I know!) LOL!! (over 40 years biking and many years transporting) - Personally, I would make a retainer bracket and mount it on the rear of the car, level with the upper fork stanchion closest to the door. Then, make up a bar which can slots in place and secure with a hitch pin and clip. The other end of the bar has a hinged 'tube'' that opens up then goes round the fork and also secures/closes with a hitch pin and clip. basically, yer making up a quick release security bar that ensure the inner fork is attached to the car by a 'rod' and thus the bike cannot move towards your glass. (you still use yer straps though!) Just a thought and easy, cheap and quick to make - much cheaper than rear glass! All the best. Dogue.

I actually do have a spare glass for some reason! but would not want that to happen for sure. I like your idea! will be adding that to the rack! :D

@@ludwigseeley6359 - Fingers crossed it would never happen. But, straps stretch and strap ratchets can fail (had that happen with a Honda Goldwing in the back of a van where the ratchet failed and we heard the bang as it let go). We made the security bar to clamp to the fork (or the down tube on the frame) to make sure the bike would not move if anythimng bad happened again.
Nowadays though, for inside vans and on trailers, we have rocking wheel chocks that you ride the front wheel into and the bike can stand upright and almost unsupported by straps!
Aye - it'd be good to knock up a security bar up for yer bike. And, being removable with hitch pins, all you would have on the rear door is a small bracket bolted through the door, and it won't interfere with anything. The bar itself doesn't need to be massive (as in scaffolding pole diameter or thickness), and the hinged 'ring' at the other end of the bar (that goes round the upper fork) does not need to be 'round' per se - but can be square, (with padding inside) - as long as it's snug around the fork the bike will not move towards the door! But, being round (with a glued in bit of rubber inner-tube) will lessen the chrome coming off yer fork!)
You have a good week. Keep up the great work and the damn good videos!

Nice work Ludi, what will you do about a light board? And wider angle mirrors? Here in the U.K. you have to be able to see the brake and side lights etc and the registration number.
    Thanks. 👍🏻😊

Thanks! the mirrors aren't a problem but I might put the # plate on the rack!

Get a patent then make a few (or have a trainee? make some) as a sideline to sell? Kit form as an option?👍🏻🙏🏽😷🦘
