Karamo is basically asking to be canceled at this point. His own supporters are reaching out with criticism and instead of respecting them, he doubles down on his ignorance.

This really did ruin all credibility that Karamo built during his time as part of the Fab 5, starting bringing Chef Pii on his show and allowing her to play victim with no accountability. Then doubling down when people try to point out he made a mistake.
Exactly. Won’t bother watching any new episodes because of him. He really could’ve done his research or atleast apologized.

Man, I really liked and respected this guy. 😔 Hearing him tell her that "it's mostly just her that needs to do better" or whatever was sickening. And the attitude now is even worse.

Yes, my opinion of Karamo has completely changed. Had he just apologized, or even glossed over it, instead of doubling down on “thanking the haters”, I wouldn’t have felt as disappointed in him. I really don’t want to watch Queer Eye if he’s in it anymore, and that’s a shame. He’s lost all credibility for so many people.
I’m a single mom and I’ve never sold a product that could poison someone. Hell, my side hustles are writing and needlework and I STILL did my research before selling products.

The only problem I have with chef Pii's apology is that she states she wishes she had come from a place of forgiveness. NOPE, Ally didn't even do anything wrong!! She didn't need to be forgiven. She gave an honest and comparatively MILD food review. GROW UP!!

The thing that blew my mind the most was the way Kramo and Pii came after that poor girl when her “ultimate sin” against Pii was taking it to a lab and testing it to make sure what was in it, since the ingredients were speculation. I’ve seen reviews absolutely RIPPING into Pii, talking about how disgusting it is, lying about how it put someone in the hospital, etc. Yet somehow, they decided to bring this girl on who was NICE THE WHOLE TIME even while being basically bullied on stage and having her bullies cheered for attacking her, and just blame her for things that are completely out of her control as a customer

Exactly! She really thought she could become viral and very rich super easy (and she almost did!), but her lack of any research and the fact that she views a simple critic as hate, she won’t get any money or sympathy from me. She clearly seemed to think that becoming viral was done so she didn’t have to put any work after that. Don’t like her attitude nor her vibe, I pass!

I can’t imagine Karamo being so delusional he’s willing to lose millions potentially over some sauce.. It’s not like she was slandering the sauce or CP, her review was very kind and accurate. There’s no way this show will be renewed after it’s contract ends. I just can’t believe he’s not even saying he regrets the way he handled it.
I think he knows people forget about this in a month or two. I never heard of this guy and I definitely will not watch him now. 🤷🏻♀️ Even CP tried with her half a** apologie.
Honestly, does it even really matter what he says at this point? The dude could come out with literally the best CZcamsr apology we’ve ever seen and it’s not going to even remotely excuse that video. As far as I’m concerned, he’s doing what he needs to do. Rather than own up to being a horrible person and proving everyone right, it makes way more sense to just ignore all of the hate until it dies down. And it will die down. That’s the sad part. He absolutely should be held accountable for his bs, but he won’t because people will eventually just get tired of going after him.
Ally's review and commentary did not deserve 1% of the disrespect those two people gave her.

Look I think the apology can be genuine even if she's not fully apologizing and making excuses. It's honestly better then any of her other ones (not saying it's good, i'm just happy the reviewer is happy with it.)
The more troubling thing is that she was a chef for some time before all this and even then she didn’t know what FDA was… That’s the scary part too!

I have to agree with that comment that said the apology doesn’t sound like Pii actually wrote it. She always tries to sound way more intelligent than she actually is, and that “apology” was way too well written to have been written by her. Just compare how she writes stuff on her tik tok to how the apology was written, obviously different. Even her own sauce had a bunch of spelling mistakes, so it’s hard to imagine she actually wrote that without a single error.
I’m glad to see that Pii has apologized. If her apology is genuine, that’s great and I hope nothing but the best for her. Karamo on the other hand, should know MUCH better. The fact that he hasn’t apologized says that he has a problem with taking accountability.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the apologies could have been written by someone. Like really, there are parts of the messages that just don't sound like the same woman we've been listening to, and it reads much more polite PR management team than a genuine apology for the events that occurred. And yeah an apology can be expected to have formal language, but it's so much stiffer than anything Pii has said and presented, even when she's trying to sound professional.

Kuh-rah-moe :) He's one of the new Queer Eye guys. It was pretty clear no one did their research on the Pink Sauce for the interview. The reviewer is a queen for the way she responded to the intentional and unintentional gaslighting. 🙄
And she’s gonna get a lot of followers after that because she kept her cool and still was respectful after being treated that way. And we all know that it wasn’t necessarily her goal by doing the review or the show.

I think, Chef Pii does feel regret and is ashamed of what she did on national TV, but I don't think she feels sorry for what she did to Alle personally. I also believe that she had someone else to help her with that apology. But regardless of what we think about it, it's not our place to judge anymore. If it's good enough for Alle it has to be good enough for us. It's not fair to use her for our anger or criticism.
Karamo on the other hand is a public figure and owes all of us an explanation. He used racial conflicts and fearmongering to make his lame ass show more interesting. I don't know if he is actually racist, but he sure played in the withe vs. black narrative and his dumb as shit audience totally fell for it.
I've been afraid to say anything on the latter part but I really do agree with you. It was very upsetting to watch and do disappointing that karamo hasnt given an apology.
@@dahliacheung6020 I don't live in the USA. So maybe I don't understand the race issue as much. I understand where the issue is and where its roots are, but I don't understand why it's still there. Both white Americans and black Americans are Americans - with very similar values and culture. From the outside the conflict looks like burning car tires though.
But I've noticed too, that somehow you can't call out black Americans on racist behaviour. I even got told, that black Americans can't be racist, because they're black. Which is an extremely racist belief towards black people in itself. Why can't they be racists? Don't they have human faults like every other human has?...
I think it's harmful not to speak about (black) racism. Unaddressed problems create tension and how can you solve problems and find their deeper root if you don't speak about it? I think it would be beneficial to all Americans. I wish the USA the best though and hope they as a nation can fix those issues one day.

Indigenous tribes don't do it, illegal aliens do do it, Asian Americans that were put in internment camps during the red scare and enslaved to build our rail systems during the western expansion don't do it, etc. I could go on and on and these people are still being discriminated against. But, for some reason the black community is the only community here yells loudly and causes conflict. Everyone's got problems but they think their problems are worse than anyone else's. Totally not true. Ask the countless Asian Americans that are still being discriminated against on the west coast or the hispanic community that's being discriminated against everywhere or the indigenous people that are being discriminated against in some of the US states, like Alaska or Montana or North and South Dakota. Then there are hasidic jew that are discriminated against on the east coast. Also middle eastern people are still being discriminated against post 911. So, they're not the only ones but they are the only ones that exploit it to the fullest.

I didn't know about Karamo's show either until the Pink Sauce episode blew up. I remembered liking him on Queer Eye. And after seeing the way he's handled this situation I have to say I'm disappointed. I have no intention of watching his show. But yeah I really do wanna try the sauce too! Great video 👍

I lost a lot of respect for Kah rah mo after the things he said on the show. He should have pretended it never happened rather than responding with Haters blah blah blah. Sadly I've lost even more respect for him. I know he is human like the rest of us and capable of making mistakes but then he needs to take responsibility for it, especially when he is in the public eye.
I think chef pi knew exactly how the show was gonna go down and fully believed the angle of the show would get others to sympathize and forgive her …. But we all knew better. Maybe this was obvious but it’s only just occurred to me that maybe she doesn’t even care like it seems like common sense to get checked if your product is safe and actually go by that but maybe she just doesn’t care either way and thinks like bad clout is still clout. Honestly crazy. It’s like saying “hey I’m selling dinosaurs but I haven’t checked with animal people if that’s safe but that’s ok because they’re extinct so it doesn’t matter” thats what she sounds like. I think she was desperately trying to get her bag while she could when her videos gained tracktion and rushed it out as fast as she could meaning she didn’t do her research like most people when they’re doing things impulsively. Now she’s trying to salvage the situation however she can and embracing any attention bc it means she may still succeed as long as people talk about her and the sauce. I could be wrong though, but it’s what makes sense to me.

That one comment at 9:16 is right. She never would have apologized had she received the audience's support. It was because *WE* the people held them accountable and didn't let her get away with her behaviour. This is what needs to happen all the time with things like this.

The producers did Karamo dirty by providing him skewed info for the show. He was mainly just going off his note cards. Even still, this does not excuse him doubling down on what happen on the show. Own the mistakes, explain you were ill-informed or misinformed. Own it!

I'm a single mum and also run my own business, I cherish my customers because I want my business to do well and I can't succeed without customers, if you're trying to run own business especially if you're just starting out your customers do matter.
Being a single mom and acting like that makes you have the right to act disgusting or get extra help or grace is ridiculous. Literally your person life choices and events that led you to being a single mother is different for every person who is going through it.
Couple things I can almost guarantee.
1. She's signed a terrible contract that'll mean whoever is _actually_ producing the pink sauce for her will make the *vast* majority of the money.
2. Given that the only reasons for the hype around the sauce are the fact that it's pink and the controversy, the fad that is pink sauce will die out faster than Desiigner's career.

I’m surprised really, because Jaclyn Hill went through bloody HELL from her lipsticks launch! She had lawsuits, everyone was posting left right and center of the plastics and hair in them. But this lady, she sells questionable sauce that you INGEST, and that wasn’t approved by the FDA, and it seems like she has major attitude of the slap on the wrist she received!! Please make it make sense
refunds do take a while to process. thats just how the company to bank works. if there is a 3rd party involved, more time needed to process. but it shouldn't take more than 3 weeks
When the interview came out I was chocked by how the guy was acting.
In the beginning my first impression was, a cozy enviroment, a happy crowd and a host who looked kind and is gonna interview these two people and try to solve the problem.
But that changed rapidly when the other girl came out.
The host invited someone who made a review of the sauce because she mentioned pros and cons in probably the nicest way one could do, there have been way worse reviews but she was very genuine and honest.
And then at the show he made her seem like the bad guy who was extremely negative for criticizing the sauce..
It was just wierd when he and the chef talked about her like she was stupid and mean.
This man should obviously not be a host when he bullies people on his show who hasn't even done anything wrong.

“Correction: In this interview, Karamo Brown was referred to as a licensed psychotherapist and social worker. That was incorrect. We regret the error. He has trained in psychotherapy and worked in social services.”
Seems really shady, he should have a degree or accreditation to back up his work history but it doesn’t seem like he has anything to prove his background, at least publicly.
@@janesays1278 see, when I googled him some sources say he does have the training but not the licensure, while others say he doesn't have it at all. I found the article you're referring to, along with a reddit discussion where someone broke down all the reputable sources. Either way I agree that it is sketchy and a little disheartening. Queer Eye is my comfort show & the few clips I saw of Karamo's show prior to this I was proud of the approach he took & how he seemed genuine but now I don't know.

Something being overwhelming doesn’t mean it excuses the girl from responsibility of sending food poison in sauce form while not understanding what the F in FDA meant! It doesn’t excuse her actions to gaslight a customer who gave a reasonable opinion about her sauce as if the failure of her business was the customer’s fault
She is trying to brush by as if nothing happened, which is toxic. Whoever took on her sauce better be ready for some toxicity in his life working with someone who has the mentality of a narcissistic toddler

You could always give it a go and try replicating the pink sauce to try it - I've seen a few videos of folks who say they've got the basic recipe. At least then the worst that can happen is it tastes bad instead of ....yknow.....botulism.
For the record, I work in a environment where when we do refunds, due to the card in question, looking at the terms and services refunds CAN take between either 3-5 to 7-10 business days. My personal card takes 7-10 business days to refund on my own card. So her statement on that wasn't too far off. On the same issue, people call my job all the time about refund they never got, and we're talking sometimes hundreds of dollars. And all I gotta do is look at their account statement and tell them when they got it. Usually they check and get real quiet cause they missed getting said refund. I don't know how they could miss hundreds of dollars but whatever.

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe it is sincere. I agree the someone else probably wrote it though. Some people don't know how to apologize, some people never do. I think the fact she did had to come from some core essence of sincerity. Even if its just because all of the backlash, isnt that part of the point? To get an apology and recognize what she has done.

My mother was a single mom. She busted her butt finding a job with benefits to support us without a college education and worked her way up reading gas meters.
