I have a student whose parents took them to “therapy” with Jodi. I have never been so horrified by the things Jodi told my student. Poor student is undoing trauma at the hands of this “therapist” who speaks of “truth”

As a mom of 3, 2 of whom are grown , the one piece of advice I can give about parenting is that there is no one right way to do it. Every kid is different, every parent is different, and every day is different. Listening to your own instincts, bonding early on with your kids thru love and attention and staying on top of whats going on with your kids is the best way to go about it. There is never just one right way to do anything

@@rubymeaddle Dr. Phil has a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, but he let his license expire because he didn't have time for private practice anymore because he was hosting his tv show. Please check before spreading misinformation. As to the Jodi, yes, she is a therapist, with a Master's of Science (MS) in Educational Psychology, she's just VERY controversial and many, many people disagree completely with her.
Thank you! People misusing the word trigger is super harmful for those who genuinely get triggered, it gives people the idea it's a normal thing and not that bad but actually can be very risky depending on the person. I self harm and have DID and have had people roll their eyes at that word because of overuse by 'normal' people who are just a little stressed or down. Tbf, there's also positive triggers but they get mentioned a lot less.

I remember one video where they were moving into the new house and the youngest boy was in his room and his mom came down there with him and was talking to him and outed him about his bed wetting and showed the pull-ups that he had in drawers. When she showed his face he looked so horrified and probably was thinking “thanks mom now my friends at school know” this is great. This is just one of numerous videos that showed how she embarrassed the hell out of them
So what this sounds like to me is that Ruby put her life online, got so upset and confused about the opinions of her parenting, and along came Jodi saying "Why decide? Let ME decide for you! Why choose? That's MY job! Anyone who tells you otherwise isn't 'living in truth' and by 'truth' I mean MY truth!"

It's an incredibly complicated process through a system that doesn't really seem to want to do anything. Could have used their platform maybe, but it would have been a sure media frenzy, further traumatizing the children. Unfortunately, that already has happened.

I've read a few behavioral analysis stuff, and some sources say that a person putting their open palm over a vulnerable spot on another person is one way of subtly controlling them.
What's fascinating to me is that they are actually giving some really good advice (like reflecting on one's own unhealthy behavior and becoming more honest, responsible and humble), but then they somehow turn it around so that it becomes toxic. I don't know about Jody (she gives me the chills), but I feel like Ruby doesn't see the toxicity of it all and is genuinely trying to better herself and become a good mom through this new "philosophy" of hers. Hopefully one day she will realize that it actually did more harm than good and repair her relationships with her family.
I honestly think Jodi saw/found a weakness in Ruby and ran with it and knew she could easily brainwash her. Jodi knows exactly what voodoo she's putting on people. But a little side note...They both need to go to school in a NORMAL school, not Mormon, and learn how the body specifically the brain works. Ruby's face in this video looks like she's screaming for help with her eyes. I really think there's something scary going on between them. I just haven't solved that puzzle yet. What she is doing is not aligned with Mormon doctrine. The Church of Jesus Christ emphasizes the importance of agency and choice. None of these terms (“Truth” “Distortion”) come from that doctrine. I agree that proper education is important!

As a kid I watched 8 passengers and was funily enough manipulated into agreeing with rubys actions and views. I used to wish to have a family like hers and assume that all families with multiple kids functioned in this way (as I don't have any siblings), Now here I am as a queer 18 year old and I can now acknowledge the danger in the type of content I watched as a young impressionable person and now to see Ruby moving on to do this and manipulate others whilst not caring about the reprocussions, it is genuinely terrifying. I feel so sorry for all of the mothers that have fallen into believing all of these 'distorted' (sorry i just had to sneak that in there) views and for the children who are suffering because of it. People like this make the world a scarier place.

I sent a link to this channel to a dear friend who has his Doctorate in Psychology. He watched your videos and a few of 8 Passengers. His practice is here in Europe, I'll say no more.
He was disturbed by Ruby's behaviour and had harsh words for Ruby and her sidekick. He hit on the fact that Ruby is NOT qualified in ANY relative field.
I asked him to contact you but he, rightly, said he doesn't want to involve himself in matters which should be addressed by Utahn authorities. Ruby is hiding her children from friends & family. That raises huge red flags. I'm soooo sad for her children. They've endured years of being abused by a mother who should probably never have had children. She produced 6, for the Mormon Church, but should have stopped at 2.
The Mormon Church encourages women to have at least 4 children, 2 to replace parents & 2 for the cult. Need I say any more?

Literally her whole social media presence is predicated upon the assumption that she is the one arbiter of truth, that she has some moral/spiritual authority. As someone who grew up in a very controlling “Christian religion” and wasn’t allowed to wear pants or cut my hair and various other things…she was already in a cult but now she feels like she’s a leader and has more power. She already believed in whatever she believed before, so I think the only victims are the children. I love my parents but there’s a reason I also took my chance and moved out of state for college asap
@@disneygirl8694 sigh, that makes me so sad. I was lucky enough to grow up christian in a really liberal area where the two head pastors were a gay man and a woman and individuality was embraced. It makes me so sad to hear most people who grew up christian had such an oppressive experience. Thanks for your take tho, I think you're probably right

@@kittenwhisperer8378 if it makes you feel better, I don’t think religion as a whole is bad and can be uniting. I do believe the specific one I grew up in is a cult, but there’s a fine line between religion and cult and it’s hard for people to see
