While I agree with you that this is required, who's going to oversee the change? The board is already compromised, especially with BlackRock and Vanguard pushing for these policies. The remaining shareholders need to seize control of the board if a clean sweep will ever be done, and I'm not sure enough of them are even paying that close attention to what's happening in the C-Suite.

Not sure how all these companies didn’t realize that DEI was racist and violated people’s civil rights.
How many CEOs opened their company’s up to potential risk by pushing DEI?
BlackRock, Vaguard, etc own parts of almost everything, including politicians. It's why DEI infects every facet of life. And they basically can print money, so they incentive the companies they own by telling them they are required for follow DEI protocol, and they will be rewarded for it. And when they don't, they'll be penalized.
So, while Disney does seemingly lose money, they recoup it. The goal is the messaging. Its social engineering. They are trying to wash out different cultures, so we live in a homogeneous society with no borders, and one way of thinking, in 15 minute cities.
This will allow them to centralize power. This has been a goal for decades and has been slowly creeping it's way into society for decades.
Hollywood has always been woke, but something changed in 2016. And now they're accelerating this plan, because people are waking up faster.
You will never see this end unless people stop consuming products from these companies. Unfortunately, Disney and their sister companies are so embedded into the psyche of many childhoods, people won't let go of it, even when it betrays them.

2008 housing market crash... There were warning signs but the money was so tied up into what people thought was a good thing that they ignored the 'cliff ahead' signs... leaving the ones who knew to bail at the last minute and reduce their losses.
The WEF's 'stakeholder' model of customer provides a glimpse at what they might be trying to do. Fans are a small segment of the population. Whatever the fanbase is, the population dwarfs them and stakeholder theory says a company that affects a person makes that person a stakeholder and a potential customer... So by appealing to stakeholders by way of identity groups you can grow your audience and eventually replace the fans with 'groups'.
There is just one problem... They were never fans in the first place. Some people legitimately don't know or have never seen Star War for example... Because their interests don't align with a path to take them to Star Wars... But Stakeholder theory seems to suggest that people can be made into an audience regardless of their proclivities.
TLDR: Companies that hold to the stakeholder theory do not understand reality, and actively try to undermine what is and will be, in order to bring about what they imagine they want. This is 'grasping at straws' behaviour, but those who take on DEI practice are sold it as a certain thing. Then when they get in deeper and deeper with mounting failures, the DEI scores give them access to cheap debt from lenders while they are fed the message that the problem is not them, but everyone else... Basically... Entertainment management dug themselves into this trap and activists are capitalising on it.

We need laws to stop investment firms like blackrock from causeing harm to companies using money to essentially blackmail them into following things like dei at the cost of the company stocks.

Giordano actually was quite light in his revelations… it’s actually far worse than he probably knows. I’ve worked on/off at Disney since 1991- and never hired (I’m white, straight, married male with children)- and was told to my face in ‘94 by Disney management that I would never be hired because of what I am. Straight up.
Disney began its journey into “the agenda” in the mid-‘90s with John Hench, when he started an initiative at Disney to promote women into management. The group was “affectionately” called “Hench’s Harem”. This then morphed into what it is today.
Oh this is icing on the cake, when you factor in the dismal Acolyte series and Gina’s lawsuit. Disney is on the ropes, and needs a complete reset.

That assumes we're in the America where they law is enforced. We are not. Same thing with the anti-trust laws that keep corporations from becoming unchallenged monopolies like Microsoft, Google, etc. Google should have been cut up and sold off 10 years ago. Silicon Valley should all have been sued into oblivion already for discrimination. Take a recorder to interviews for DEI companies, and make sure they say it out loud that they won't hire you for being white.

Interesting, this is your topic today. I just got passed over for a position with Disney. I knew I would not be considered when I found out they only interviewed two people: me and one other person. In the second interview, the person who interviewed me was disengaged and didn’t ask me any questions regarding my skills and experience. I’m not saying they didn’t pick the better candidate, but it did seem like they had already decided who they wanted to hire.
No matter what they want to call it DEI EDI whatever they use everyone can see it in what they make, and will NOT get my support or money.

I'm guessing that most of us are "flagged", and pumped into a very strict tier of censorship hoops we have to pass through to possibly stay undeleted. IT has changed the last 6 months, or so even if this has been here at least a couple years now. It used to be more based on word identification I'm sure, but now they have us categorized based on building algorithms for each "class" of us.
BTW...all YT accounts, and Support on X are just bots. I tweet at them every couple of weeks to "admit what they are doing", and the only time I ever got a response it was canned. I'm reading a book by Marc Benioff about how he's been promoting hiring women and underrepresented people for years. He brags about it and goes around everywhere he can to fund minority schools and pay chief equity officer to make sure women and minority hire numbers are increased at all costs. He doesn't write about what happens to the people who typically were studying tech without help and aren't receiving his company's assistance now.

I wonder if anyone is looking into the Illegal Loans that BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street? Disney is applying these hiring practices due to the stipulation of the Loans that they Decide to take out. You can argue, that Disney decided to take those loans, but if the stipulation for the funds of the loan are illegal, Disney could've taken the funds of the loan, and decide NOT to follow the guidelines, and if the loan provider wanted to pursue legal action against Disney for not Following the stipulations of the loan, Disney would point out the illegal Discrimination Practices that were set by the loan, and bring this information to the public.
Glad OMG is going after Disney, but BlackRock and the like are the real source of the issue, due to the illegal loans that they are providing, which the Executives and their own lawyers at these companies are to ignorant to figure out and exploit for free money by threatening to out the loan provider if the loan isn't quietly canceled.
