  • Took CC our border collie out for her first run with the Tail Runner dog harness and bungee lead. I think she loved it. With some time, training and conditioning she may well become a pretty decent running partner
    I’m also pretty impressed with the harness and lead. Check them out at www.tailrunner.com.au

    Dude CC didn't look too excited about that run 😂 Missy my little Staffy practically pulls me around the trails like a freight train... take a look at some of my videos, running the trails with your best friend, you can't beat it. good stuff.

      Even though she shows it differently she does love her runs. Keep enjoying those trails with Missy

    Mate, I think that BC was having pity on you. It could run you into the ground. 😂😂 But.. well done!!!!

    Would love to run with a puppy/dog. hehe looks like a "fun learning exp" but will be so cool when she has a full groove herself :)

      She’s been getting since. Worked out if I take it a little slower she does so much better. Out over 4km straight with her now.

    I run with my 2 Collies they run 10k easy... but I go with them on off lead trails it's great except you have to run with dog poo in a bag for a few k too 😁

    Hi! I have a 4 months old bc and she is very good except when I start to run beside her. (I know it's to early to go for proper runs, just trying to get her use to it) but she is herding as soon as I start to run...and only when I run. Do you have any advice for this kind of problem?😢

    • @RunningAlive
      @RunningAlive  Před 6 měsíci +1

      The main thing I did was ensure she heeled properly when walking first. Then when running if she tried anything like running off or herding then I would come to a complete stop. Make her wait once back in position. Then run again. But I didn’t have to do that much with CC. Only a few times over the first few runs.

    I'm about to adopt a Border Collie. How far do you typically go?

    • @RunningAlive
      @RunningAlive  Před 3 lety +1

      We now run between 4-8km depending on how she feels and usually make up distance to 10km with walking. But she’s a very big border collie. Weighs 23kg when females are usually around 14kg. So others may run a bit faster and further. But I will say like anything they have to build up to it

    Bardzo, bardzo szybko biegają bordery. Takie bieganie na uprzęży spełnia dla właściciela. Zawsze patrzy czy właściciel jest zadowolony czeka na gest, że tak jest. Czeka.... I się cieszy. Taki jest Mój border czarno biały.

    This is not a Border Collie, with a Border Collie there are all colors but the white must never predominate, never.

    • @RunningAlive

      She is. Blue Merle colour. But “never” with the white?
