Make sure he’s not running too much and too far until he’s 12 months old. Also Parkrun usually specify that you have to use a short leash to run with your dog. I do a lot of running and Canicross with my dogs and for parkrun we’ve always been told it can’t be more than 1 metre long I stretched. And that the dog must be under full control. So defo good idea to use one connected to you and not use your hands. Just maybe check the length once he’s ready for parkruns to make sure.
