The scary part of attempting suicide is surviving it. Then having to live with such horrific consequences.

Chibougamee men pay the highest toll? You cannot generalise like that one could say more men top themselves then women but more women lose their life’s at the hands of men including millions of unborn baby girls the world over in China there is a desperate shortage of women because of female infanticide and as far a feminism is concerned it’s simply just a reaction as a result of male domination and brutally, I don’t believe in the feminist movement because I don’t like extremists and it’s also a case of 2 wrongs don’t make a right!!! However this stuff about men always paying the highest price is not true but they certainly have paid a price, but not the highest.

@@MissPixie71 I HATE when people say this. People are not trying to be selfish when they committ suicide, they LITERALLY believe people will be better off without them. If you've never dealt with mental health issues YOURSELF (knowing someone who has is absolutely not the same thing) you have absolutely no idea what goes on in their head, so stop judging a******.

Thought the same. That guy she broke up with probably never gave a shit to begin with. He went to live his life, whether it was a good or bad life without regrets, happily, while this fool most likely left her family in debt. But hey she survived. I tried taking my life in 2010 and they they actually lost me for a minute. When they resuscitated me and I remember at the time being so angry that they didn’t just let me die. I ended up in ICU and hospitalized for almost a month. At that time I truly did not want to be here because the pain I was In Was so unbearable that I didn’t think that it would ever go away. I’m so glad the paramedics saved me. To this day I wish I could track them down and thank them. And every day I’m so grateful to be here. Things can get better. I’m 40 now and I’m probably the happiest And healthiest I’ve ever been in my life and I’m doing all the things that I love that I put off for years due to depression.. My father lost part of his face (chin, mouth and part of the nose) in world war II, when he was 25 years old. After a dozend chirurgical reconstructions in Vienna university hospital he met my mother and they had three children, one of them is me. I never thought of my father as a unnormal looking person, because I couldn't imagine him looking different than I was used to. I loved him so much, because he was the most loving and caring father and an most inspiring and supporting teacher and head of school. He was a wonderful grandfather for my three kids, and he finally died at the age of 94. Me and all his family and friends still miss him so much. Please darling, don't look back! This hit me in another way. I made terrible decisions, also very impulsive decisions as Katie but to get plastic surgery because I hated my original face, after battling BDD and suicidal thoughts for so long I really regretted getting surgery and Katie’s story reminded me of how our faces are not just for aesthetic value, but highly functional. Every muscle, every facial feature is functional and we need to cherish and protect our faces. If any young girl is watching this, please don’t kill function for aesthetics and make the same mistakes that I did. Impulsive decisions are terrible because they stay with us forever. I hope you know your face is beautiful as it is, eyes to see, a nose to breathe well, that’s beauty. Stay safe and blessed everyone x❤

Depression is no joke, stop judging her, you can never imagine the amount of pain going on inside one's head, constant and with hopelessness, it leaves you with a strange feeling that screams in your head that you're unloved, not worthy, have no future and it makes you anxious constantly and any time it roars high and suddenly changes your thoughts from normal to extreme that then can change your determined decesions into hopelessness, life will be never like before and you constantly blame yourself for everything, you get triggered by tiny thoughts literally anytime and you won't be able to do things in which you were very good/best, and you can't think clearly, your thought process changes and literally everything changes EVERYTHING, so stop judging her, you don't know what it's like to be depressed.

Watching this video opened my eyes to how useless hurting myself over a temporary problem is. If someone hurts you, it’s unfair to hurt yourself over it. I know it can even be on impulse, like how it was with Katie. To those out there would need help, I suggest you reach out to somebody you love. It doesn’t have to be your parents, just someone who can guide you in the right direction. I love you all.

Its difficult when you become depressed, because the threshold that handles pain, stress grows very small making coping with anything, even small disappointments difficult. I think it's good to think in a way like, I let external things influence my mood for such a while that my DNA has changed to constantly being in a state of angst or depression, but I can change it just as I changed it to begin with, you can change it, just being positive and continually saying thank you, be thankful for small things, say them out loud, until you see changes, they actually happen. I remember I have felt so low that nothing seemed to help but I kept doing that anyways, and slowly I started to attract positive people and experiences that made me feel happiness

Nah this is very much an extreme case, for most people having relationships early teaches them to be stronger and more mature. Also often times people who have never been in a relationship when they're younger are more arkward with the opposite sex.

So tragic. I couldn't imagine as a parent to experience the loss of such a beautiful face in my child. Breakups are seriously painful for youth. Never underestimate that. No guy is ever worth losing yourself over. There is so much more to live for. Our planet and opportunities for many different experiences are vast. There are lots of chapters in our lives to live.

My cousin sadly made the same decision as Katie. He survived and underwent a lot of facial reconstruction surgeries. He struggled with addiction and eventually died of overdose. In between relapses he blessed us with his soul though. He could make anyone laugh and just had a way of making friends with everyone. Miss him very much.

But It is not stupid, its in the first amendment everyone should have the right to have a gun to defend themselves. it has been shown that if someone decides to do something dumb with guns, it doesn't matter if guns are banned or not, they would still find the guns to kill people.
