    Thank you for this video!
    And to Lito, we're a mexican system and we want to encourage you to keep talking! You don't sound silly! I'm sure in the headspace everyone sounds more like themselves. That happens to us as well!

    What I find weird about your system is that more than half of the people in it are extraordinary at explaining things. Like I can't even explain how to tie a shoe, but you guys have described DID so well that I never have trouble understanding what you're talking about despite having never experienced it myself, and that is an amazing talent.

    • @victoriatube159
      @victoriatube159 Před 3 lety +6

      Probably becuase they spend a lot of time trying to think of the best way to explain it. Becuase a lot of people can't relate to being anything but a single person. Like how the fuck do I explain to someone that I can taste when one of my alters(who has yet to introduce themselve) is afraid. Like until resuntly I didn't even know that wasn't me feeling that and I just thought based on media that fear actually had a flavor. I know to the outside world that sounds kinda weird.

    It's kinda trippy how you guys talk from different places when you're up front like it sounds like Daniel talks more from the bottom of the throat but kit talks higher up and stuff. Ya' know? You can look away from your phone screen but you still know who's talking even when it cuts to somebody else.

      me and another alter co-front a lot of times. And when we're alone at home, we have outside-speaking conversations, like actually speaking with sounds to each other, and everything about the voice, intonation, deepness and speed changes really fricking fast, even when we interrupt each other and talk over each other the body just changes everything about the voice perfectly smoothly in a way I would never ever be able to do on purpose. And trust me, I've tried.

    I do not have DID but I relate so much to this video. I'm a trans dude and just so much of what Lito said resonated so hard. Like my voice is all wrong and having periods and not having a "masculine muscular build" and just yes.
    I'm glad that each of you are finding your own ways to help cope and feel more comfortable in this body. I know that I myself have my own ways of dealing with being in the wrong body for my own gender.
    And Lito, I don't think you sound silly, it's a skill that you will build up if you just keep talking and keep it up! Your feelings are totally valid obviously but I hope you keep working at it.

    • @ynntari2775
      @ynntari2775 Před 3 lety +1

      Oh boy, being born with a male body doesn't grant you a "masculine muscular build", and it can still be really really hard to get a slightly acceptably decent looking build, I can tell you that for sure, there are much more people that can relate to you than you think.

  • @NeonGreyscale
    @NeonGreyscale Před 6 lety +65

    One of my most dysphoric alters was a girl, even though my body is female (I'm a trans guy who has yet to transition). I think this is because dissociative dysphoria is a lot different (though still in many ways similar) than trans dysphoria, and it has a different cause. Even with my male alters, it wasn't the same type of dysphoria I have now as an integrated trans man. A lot of it was gender related, yes, but when I envisioned my perfect body back then it wasn't me, it was a completely different looking guy. Now I just wanna look like me, my body, but with the "male dial" turned up a bunch of notches, so to speak. The dysphoria has gotten worse in the sense that now I can't escape it through switching to a non-dysphoric alter, but it's also gotten better in the sense that my body is at least mine in a way. It just needs a few renovations.

    I feel bad for any of you suffering from dysphoria; I feel terrible for KimKim because she is just a kiddo. I know it's gotta be rough for Daniel since the body is the wrong sex for him, too. At least Kit seems to be coping pretty well and Daniel is working it out. I love Lito and his optimism. The white female body does NOT invalidate his culture and heritage, and hopefully you all can work out a a way to bring some of Lito's culture around. And I feel sad that anyone is embarrassed of his accent, I know it isn't accurate to how he himself sounds, but I feel it is endearing and certainly nothing to be ashamed of. I can imagine it would provoke some sideways glances and questions perhaps, but still... Lito is who Lito is, and he should be celebrated for the individual he is. I'm glad he finds some satisfaction in working out, and maybe in time, the body will be capable of doing more than it is now, depending on what Wyn is going for.
    Daniel, when will your next anime review be coming out?
    Kit, makeup and fashion videos, pleeeease?
    I'd love to see some vlogs of Lito, KimKim and Wyn just going about their activities and days. And for Lito, I'd really like to see a video more about his heritage and culture from his perspective. I'm afraid I don't know very much about any Latin cultures in general and he is so passionate about everything, I'd like to understand more about him.
    Also, what are KimKim's hobbies? I would like to get to know more about KimKim and the things she invests her time in. Maybe she could put together a fashion and makeup book or Photoshop collage to show us her favorite things she's found that she would wear? And new music she likes?
    Also... And this is probably edging on very personal, but I haven't seen much on interpersonal relationships and dynamics with having DID and strategies for managing healthy relationships at appropriate closenesses, how to feel out who you can tell, whether or not to tell someone you have DID, and how to suss out who you can trust to be around with your system-mates. And perhaps how to handle close family... This would be more for you to address, Wyn. I think. My mother and I are facing this dilemma because we still have immediate family unaware of her DID and she's getting to the age where her health is a worry and people would need to know she/her system isn't crazy if anything happens to her and her system. Anywho, this was terribly long winded, but thank you for the video and insight it had given, as always. It is always a joy to see each of you guys and either learn or catch up with what's happening. Lots of love to each and every one of you💕💟🌸
    P.S. I love the hair bow, Kit!

    Slipping into a costume is such a freaking HEALTHY way of coping with gender dysphoria brought on by DID. Thank you so much for sharing this, Daniel!
    Kit, I really appreciate you explaining not just that the body is a healthy weight now, but WHY you struggle with that, because of previous thinness when the body was younger.
    I'm glad that dressing up helps for you, Kim Kim. And sorry you feel so much like you're borrowing someone else's body. :( I do appreciate the perspective that it's mostly the time jump that is so upsetting for you.
    Lito, thank you so much for expressing this experience. I can see how hard it was for you so I really appreciate you talking about it. Also, there's nothing wrong with the way you speak. And I'm sorry others give you a hard time.
    Guys thank you so so much for this. I don't have DID, but it is so very useful and important to get this message out, for both those that have DID and struggle with dysphoria and for those who don't have it, but want to understand more about your experiences. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

      the resting faces are different, that's very apparent in most DID/OSDD systems, the resting face muscle contraction is different from one to another, and resting face is nothing something you do on purpose, nor is it something you can control without attention, so the faces can look a lot different from alter to alter.
      you can see the difference very clearly in people with face paralysis in one side of the face, how the two sides look completely different from each other.

    "so squishy!" That is an awesome way to describe it. I love that Kit. :) I'm gonna use that for myself now!! I grew up extremely skinny and would get made fun of for being anorexic, even though I wasn't - I love food but could never keep weight on. Once I reached 21 I started gaining weight rapidly and am now considered a healthy weight at 25 years old. But it's still something I look at and feel "big." So I really love the term squishy.... That's a good way to be a bit more fun about it. Thanks kit for being so open! Also, Kim Kim, Daniel, and Lito, thanks for also being so open about such a private subject

    I don't usually comment, but Gosh, this was something. I support you guys so much, and I'm just so sorry that it's constantly challenging to be in a position where you're not comfortable or happy. I'm more than happy to know that it seems that Daniel, Kit, and Kim Kim have figured out ways to help themselves feel a little more comfortable; the same goes for Lito, but just the poor man has so much on him. You can really hear the hurt and pain in his voice even though he's trying to hold it back and I'm so sorry to him. Despite him not being able to properly portray his accent when he's fronting as he can, normally, in the inner world, I think he's doing his best and that it shouldn't be considered embarrassing. It's just like Wyn had stated, I believe, that she is open about having DID and it's because she doesn't want to hide who she is anymore; pardon me, if I'm incorrectly paraphrasing, this, it's on the spot of just watching this. None of you should have to feel the need to hide any part of yourselves, and I just, I feel so bad that Lito feels he has to even hide his accent because it seems like it's one of the few things that he can express to be himself. Gosh, all of you, I wish you the best and I hope that dysphoria can lessen within due time, truly.

    @lorainisrael Před 2 lety +1

    For anyone who struggles with Dysphoria, what we found to be useful is to consider the body as its own separate part. Parts often struggle because there is one host to which the body supposedly belongs, but if it doesn’t belong to anyone, it’s just an external shell with biometrics and physiology, and each alter has their own body and a separate name from the main passport name, then it’s easier. Your bodies are in the inner world, the real world body is like an diving or space costume, you have to ware it to go into space or dive deep into the ocean, you cannot go without it. So you need to take care of it. Especially as the length of the life of the entire system depends on it.

    I'm glad your system is positive about the body from an objective standpoint because before I integrated, when my alter dysphoria was really bad, I would call my body ugly. I didn't actually think I was objectively ugly, it was just that I looked different from myself and it felt gross, but it wasn't so great on my host-self's self esteem. Sorry if this is difficult to understand, I still don't know how to talk about myself from back when I was a system lol.

    This is honestly the first time I’m learning about dysphoria, I didn’t even know there was a medical term for this. I’ve always known I was a spiritual being having a human experience growing up which cause me to dissociate from my “vehicle” a lot. It is interesting to see and feel what I thought no one understood, I use to avoid the mirror back in middle school; I didn’t feel like my vehicle was actually mine and I hated it because of that. Hope all of you guys will be able to truly be comfortable, accept your costume, and be yourselves!!💜✨

    Hi guys, not sure if you'll see this, but I wanted to apologize for being shitty in the past on your comments. I don't know what got into me then. I also have DID and it has been a LONG road to recovery (not even half way done). It's easy to sit behind a keyboard and judge others' experiences when it looks different from yours. My experience with DID is not necessarily a happy one. But I won't get into that. Anyhoo, I really do wish you (all) the best, and it seems like these vlogs are helping you connect with the community. As a headmate in a system (not necessarily DID), I experienced a similar dysphoria. For years I was unable to look myself in the mirror or take selfies because our eye color, skin color, height, face shape, and even weight in some cases (not to mention a lack of fangs since my form has fangs) was just WRONG. It was very upsetting that despite my ego I couldn't admire myself in the mirror without feeling that I was looking at something that wasnt ME. Even though I have now gotten over most if not all of this dysphoria, seeing this video gives me validation for how I felt in the past. It's very comforting to know that I wasn't alone in this sort of thing. I hope that you all (like Kit and myself) are able to overcome your dysphoria, though of course your situations and experiences aren't the same as myself or others in the system.

    Then there’s us with a bunch of dragons and skeleton monsters… I actually think that in a way the fact that our non human alters are so different to our body makes it a little easier to just treat the body as a vehicle instead of something that represents us as people. it really would be nice to look the way we are supposed to, but there’s not really any way we could do that. LITO!
    I just want to say, please don't be embarassed by your voice or accent. It's absolutely charming and I know it must be weird in Wyn's body, sounding differently than you're used to, but that certainly doesn't invalidate YOU or anything about you in any way. You have such amazing energy and personality that it gives me absolute joy whenever I hear your voice in a video. You never fail to make me smile. And I know I'm not by far the only one... :) I'm sending loooads of love your direction!!
    xx

    OH! Also! Your reading glasses look a lot like my everyday glasses!!! Mine are just solid red though.
    Also, also, Daniel, maybe one way for you to feel more comfortable when you are up front is to where some more men or unisex clothing? You could get some pretty snazzy outfits that make you feel more confident? Not hating on the flannel, as a Supernatural fan, you can never go wrong with a flannel/plaid

Your voice is so beautiful and I would love to hear it again whenever you want to make more videos.

    Thank you guys for another interesting video. I really love how open and honest you are and I'm glad that you all seem to have found a way to deal with your dysphoria - at least to a certain degree. 💚
    What I found really interesting is that Kit didn't even mention the fact that she was living in a human body. I would have expected that to at least be a part of her dysphoric experience...
    Lots of love to everyone 💞

    It’s so nice to hear this cause i only have 1 other person in the system that is close in height to me but there is some level of nausea we feel because of vertigo from the initial switch to one of my taller alters cause he is about 5’6 and when he comes out he sees himself as 5’6 and then the reality sets in and he gets anxiety cause he’s shorter than he is in the headspace.
    Everyone besides my cohost gets the face disconnect because I get out of the shower and we look in the mirror and whoever switched when I was in the shower gets uncomfortable cause they see my face and not their own. My cohost Emily has gotten used to it but is still jarring to her occasionally if she switches while we’re driving and she looks in the car mirror and it’s my face

    I'm sure other people have added this but we're trans as well. It's been interesting getting used to being in Mat's (our host's) body (which is characteristically feminine right now) knowing that he doesn't want his body to look like this either. It's something that I struggle with on a front of forgetting that it is a afab body, as well as forgetting it's not my body. If anything it makes me want to help Mat transition. Thanks for another video!

    I have watched so many of your videos and love them. Lito, I love watching you the most cuz I can see your enthusiasm and excitement when you talk. Kit, you show so much passion in what you do and talk about. Daniel, I couldn't imagine being in a different sexs body but I'm glad you have found a way around the uncomfortable feeling of fronting. Kim kim, you are a sweet girl and I know it must be hard fronting in an older body, but just remember you are you and you have so many people that love and support you. ❤

    Thank you for this video. It’s helping me explain to the body’s husband. I am Katerina. This body doesn’t feel like mine. And I couldn’t tell him this without him saying “but you’re beautiful” etc and it’s like I’m not saying this body isn’t beautiful in its own way. I’m saying -- everything you said in this video. So I just sent this to him. I hope this helps him to understand

    As a trans guy I can agree that dysphoria sucks. But I was just wondering if the female alters are experiencing body dysmorphia instead of gender dysphoria? Or am I interpreting this video in a weird way because it's 1am, aha.

    • @TheEntropySystem
      @TheEntropySystem  Před 6 lety +20

      Dysmorphia is more focused on specific body traits rather than feeling like the whole body is not their own. I see why you’d think that, though. -Wyn

      You can have body dysphoria, which is different from both body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria. Yes the lingo is confusing haha. Body dysphoria is usually what's experienced with DID as far as I know

    • @mx.colwell6094

      Dysmorphia is more when you look in the mirror you see tour body as something it's not. So a skinny person might think they are bigger because their mirror makes them think they are bigger. It's not gender dysphoria like with being trans

    My alter Dylan also suffers severely from dysphoria. While he is a 35 year-old, tall, thin man with wavy hair and a beard, I am in my mid-twenties, quite small, chubby and have straight hair... Especially my feminine appearance really worries him. Back with my ex, he regularly had mental breakdowns and needed to go to the back to regenerate. Nowadays, I try to help him, searching for times, when he and the other boys can come to the front without worrying. At least, I know today what I can do to help him, and that I need to stay in contact with Elisabeth, my 'feminine' alter, so that she lets Dylan alone when he's out. She always reminded him of his incompatibility of his behaviour and my body.. It really got to him, but we're working on it.
    Thanks for your great videos!!! I just learned about my DID, I am still unsure about certain things, but I got to know my alters and it really helped me, once they let me back to the front. Have a lovely day! :)

    For anyone who thinks Lito's accent is silly or embarrassing, they absolutely need to stop and think about what they are saying. I don't know why, that just hit me the wrong way, especially coming from people in the system who also deal with their own form of dysphoria... Let him express himself, Lito is such a great man 💓

    once our hair reaches a certain length, our mascs cant front at all. but if our hair is too short, our fems cant front at all. too much dysphoria too much negative feeling and its an immediate pop back inside. makes life balancing really hard 😭😭
    none of us particularly relate to our body and especially our face to the point we all regularly forget what our face looks like so mirrors are a massive jumpscare 😭😭

    Kerianne might not like seeing this later, but this is the first time I (Shaed) have spent time in this body, which is female - and I'm male. I was also victimized by a female. And I'm a ghost. Besides the ideas for getting through this big change, I think my takeaway is that my feelings are valid and that I'm going to be okay. So, thank you for this video. The ideas here are great, and I'll be trying to use them.

    So important! Thank you everyone! One of our alter's body dysphoria/gender dysphoria was so bad for years as a teen (they were our unknowing host then) they are now working through body dysmorphia therapies with our therapist. They eventually 'chose' what to look like in our headspace when we were 19, but years of damage in the body had already been done and they find it really hard to be in the body still. It helps knowing that what they see in the mirror isn't what they look like, but as soon as they front it all starts coming back. They really hate everything about our body, which is so sad because we really aren't that hideous! - Ash xx

    We get a lot of dysphoria, to the point that its hard to even record videos. We are aiming to just make the body more neutral so that it can be more of a blank canvas so that whoever pops into the body gets to just style it the way they like. Don't know if it will work but we figure its worth a try🍀
