- Join Keith Tanner as he gives you a taste of what it's like to drive 4 very different Miatas. We start with Nancy, an almost stock 2006 NC Miata and then move on to Bob, our fully customized Turbo NA. Once you've had a taste of turbo, Keith gives us a ride in Andy, FM's 2016 Turbo ND, and finally a ride in Indy, FM's ND with the LS3 V8 conversion.
Flyin' Miata is the world leader in Miata performance. We offer a wide range of parts for all years of the Mazda MX-5 Miata.

They all look & sound like a blast to drive ! Glad I have my naturally aspirated 2016 Club soft top to drive. During the Pandemic my ND was a soul lifter. Now I ask you how many cars are there that can turn a mood around leaving you feeling like you just had one of the best experiences in life ! Yes THAT is why I love Miatas !
Very well said. I say they are Very THEROPUDIC! Blast to drive! Like you, I have a nearly stock 2016 Club soft top ND. I would like to upgrade the handling a little and it can use a boost in the exhaust, but the power in the stock form, 155 HP is NOT BAD for such a light car. :)
Makes me feel like my NB is even more special 😆 💘
I know it is quite off topic but do anybody know a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
18:15 Keith is traveling @ 1500 mph!! That is one REALLY impressive Miata!! 😁
Yeah, got a little tangled up there. Jeremy Clarkson makes it look so easy.
@@TargaMiata You're the best, Professor B! If you tell me it's 1500 mph. I'll believe you. 👍
@@TargaMiata ...I can feel the passion you have for this little but large than life Miata. I always consider myself a Honda/Toyota fan. But the Miata is growing a lot of love in me !!! ❤️❤️❤️
You are the reason I got into miatas in the first place. Meet you in when you guys where in New Jersey. Keep up the good work sir.
Thank you for the great video! It was great and I look forward to seeing more!
Anything FlyinMiata is always good
Thanks for making this for the base!
This was a great video--and I wish I had seen it earlier. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful, and thanks for watching!
I've just bought a 25AE BBR stage 2 turbo which is brilliant, but I'm still jealous of the look on your face when you boot the V8!
Fun ride, Thanks!
Newfoundland! Yes b’y!
"6th gear is super tall, look, 1500 miles per hour..." Sounds like that LS really gets the Miata moving ;)
Faster than a Mustang Mach 1, for sure
Bring the turn key LS swaps back to the shop.
I respect the drum and bass background music. Love my 95 m edition, cant wait to boost it
Miatas are great, but turbos make everything better!
Excellent Video
Thank you!
Thanks!
Oh Andy, I do so hope to follow in your footsteps with my Lilith (ND2 GT RF)! 😜
I’d love a review on an NB as well 😇
Unfortunately, there aren't any NBs in the fleet at the moment that were ready for this shoot. Our most likely candidate was torn down for a suspension test.
The V8 is certainly impressive as a completely ridiculous mod. Although, it does take a bit away from what the Miata accomplishes by doing so much with so little. Being an ND2 owner, I'm really happy with the balance of performance and practicality. I can get up to 90 mph more quickly than needed in most scenarios.
True, but I wouldn't mind that engine sound though :D
I want an NC so bad! 💖 I want to know what that turn in feels like! 🥰
Nothing is stopping you from test driving one
FUN TIMES ‼‼ What are the specific suspension mods , exhaust ETC done on
2006 NC , " NANCY " , Keith ?
At the time of the video, the car had our Koni/FM Stage 2 suspension kit with a Flyin' Miata midpipe and exhaust. I believe it also has our Little Big Brake Kit installed. I'm not sure which muffler, it sounds like it's our old supercharged setup. Not much else, it was recently returned to near-stock in preparation for some new product development.
whats better for a '91? FOX coilovers alone or V-Maxx Sport stage 2 + butterfly/frame rail brace?
I'd probably go for the Fox because you can always add stiffeners and sway bars later.
Love to see some of your personal cars.
thats it im ls swapping a miata
r u guys still not doing the v8 ND Builds ?
We're focusing on the four cylinder cars.
Very well done interior in Cap'n Bob, I like it.
One quick question: it appears you've installed a NC2 nose kit on the '06 NC1. Is it a stock NC2 nose? I didn't know if one would fit or not - I have an NC1 I want to sell and would like to change out the busted NC1 nose for an NC2 if it fits. (Insurance will be covering it so I'd just pay any cost differences such as lights, Radiator, emblem, etc.)
I'm liquidating an Estate & plan to talk to you about an AC Cobra Body kit LS3 NC2 & I'm wondering if you *_also handle body kit mods & paint_* as well as suspension, frame & engine mods?
Thank you
†
It’s been a decade since we swapped the nose, but I believe it was a straight bolt-on with the correct stock parts. We certainly didn’t have to do any real bodywork.
We are not currently working on customer projects at this time in order to concentrate on product development. Sorry about that.
@@FlyinMiataVideo OK, and I'm months out in terms of the Estate, I'll be checking back with you.
My Uncle has a 289 AC Cobra and I've ridden with him once on a club roadtrip around the North coast of Cali. I'd love to crash their party in an LS3/MX-5 replicar.
I know I'd get a lot of smiles.
The others can stuff it - lol.
LOL at Keith rapid flashing some fool in front of him to pull over and get out of the way when he's in Nancy the NC.
LOL I noticed that too, surprised he didn't blow the boat horn.
Did any customers actually build any of these (or have you guys build one for them)? The V8 conversion, I mean
Yes to both - we built a few cars for customers (one sold for $84,000 on Bring A Trailer) and a few customers have built their own.
I was hoping Nancy would wear her new Kogekis.
We have a lot of wheels for our cars! She probably should have had the new shoes on, you're right.
@@FlyinMiataVideo My Nancy loves her Kogekis and her FM lightened lugnuts. I just wanted to see them in action on screen. I agree , the NC is the most hated fat cousin, but with light wheels, and coil overs, it really wakes up the car. Even if i get another MX-5, I'll never let Nancy go.
Hi, I own a 2012 with 13K miles. I bought it from a relative who will not be driving any longer. It is BEAUTIFUL, and I love it except for one darn thing,... It is an automatic. DANGIT.
Would it be totally stupid to imagine having a manual transmission swap?
Manual transmission swaps are very possible, but in the long run it's probably cheaper and more efficient to sell the car and purchase a manual car. That being said, if you have attachments to this specific car, give our support team a call or drop them an email. They can give you some advice on what exactly is needed to make the automatic to manual conversion.
@@FlyinMiataVideo thx will do
too bad I'm a 30 hour drive away...
Dont add music to your videos. Its already hard enough to hear Keith, and we all want to just hear the cars and talking
I hate you guys. Choices as to what I want to do with my 2020 anniversary car.😊
background music while driving is super annoying! 😒
I know Flyin Miata has some of the greatest products, I love the parts that I have bought, but their build style look so plane, and bland.
We aren't building show cars or turn-key one off customs. All the cars you see here in our fleet are test mules used to develop products and test actual parts we sell. We leave it up to our customers to add their own style and personality to the cars they build. :)
@@FlyinMiataVideo I completely agree. I that's why I always order from Flyin Miata, or Moss. I love your work. You're happy meal clutch kit is great! I'm just saying looking at it in an advertisement perspective, the test mules are also advertising your the company. The quality already sells its self, adding some style to an advertisement can do great things.
