Idk why everybody's hating on Donovan and this year's contest in general. Nance may have had the best dunk, but Mitchell was way more consistent overall. All of his slams went down clean and smooth unlike Larry's double tap and DSJ's 360 (which were still dope though).
As for the contest, it definitely wasn't an all-time classic but all 4 guys put on a show and barely fucked up outside of Oladipo who shouldn't have been a part of it in the first place lol. Overall it was a fun year.

Yeah the contest looking back at it was not that bad. For me, i think it just looked bad and isn't my most favorite because the fans ruined it. The DSJ or Nance dunks got no hype from the crowd. The crowd ruined most of the weekend. The all star game was like crickets until last 5 minutes. This contest was not bad, hands down better than shit one last year and ones before 2015 and 2016. I would still take the Howard contests and 2011 in LA, but this one was solid if you watch the clips again. I really like Nance's dunks just baffling the crowd acted like snobby rich kids. Really disappointed in the atmosphere. But people really expect the contest to be this action movie every year like the Gordon and Lavine one. I mean I don't think people realize how hard it is to prepare and perform these dunks. I mean overall since 2015, 2015, 2016, and 2018 were alright. last 4 years they have been better than the shit stretch from 2012 to 2015.
