Great overview how to quickly dive into Gyroflow and start getting good results.
Really appreciated the bit on editing sync points to ensure good gyro data is matched to video movement.

Hi B14ckyy's Tech, this is excellent and detailed video!! Thank you for putting it together. You mentioned we can use gyro data from external source e.g. black box from your flight controller. What logging rate would you choose in Inav for the BB to log the data?
HEy. The developers recommend 500Hz logging rate for external loggers. 250Hz should be minimum.

I must be doing something wrong: my Hero7 Black gopro video looks stabilized in the preview window, I can play it stanbilized or not. However after exporting the file created has no stabilization. Is there something I did wrong?

you need to use the raw videos to stabilize. Then you do all your other editing like color grading.
Thanks for the video, when I export the file its not in my folder, but when I go back to Gyroflow and open the import folder the file is there. any suggestions?
hello brother, I'm having problems with my gopro 6 naked when doing gyroflow, motion data is not detected, is it because the PAL Mode output setting is the cause? does hero 6 not support stabilization when entering PAL Mode

it has a i7 7700K, 32GB DDR3, GTX 1080ti and a Samsung Evo 2TB NVME.
Using Gopro bones 5k60 the render is very very slow while DJI Avata 4k 59 renders fairly quick. Why is this ?
I think the next step is to turn gyroflow into an app on iPad or a plugin for luma fusion. Is such a thing possible?

Would this work with the hero 7 black? I hear its the only hd cam with issues when trying to stabalize the video.
it works if you get a clean gyro signal. but you still have ti soft mount it. H7 is a nightmare to stabilize afterwards with quad footage. Sport footage is fine though. as long as there are no high frequency vibrations from propellers.

Would be nice if you create a video that shows how to use a phone with an app like sensor logger. Its mentioned on gyroflow website, but i dont know how to use it. I mean it would be nice to add an old phone onto a dslr to stabalize. I guess that would help a lot of people
yes I will make more videos soon. just found out about sensor logger an hour ago. will look into that.
When we record in 4k in hero 6 then internal stabilization turn off. Does this 4k clip record gyro data?
Yes Gyro data is always recorded. That's the whole point of this tool as it won't work if stabilization is turned on already on a Hero 6.

yes only with gyro. hence the name. maybe this will change in the future.
how are you getting your Gopro 10 to collect gyro data? all my videos say no and I see yours says yes...
I also noticed yours detected the Gopro and all my videos don't detect it as a Gopro.
hero 10 does not need syncing. the movement data are embedded into each video frame. in my video it is a Hero 6.

yes that's the 9nly reason that works. gyro is always recorded with the video 👍

The amount of data to add location (gps) data, date/time, and/or gyro data is very small relative to the amount of data in a video frame. Just a few bytes vs. mega-bytes of pixel data.
Including by default and optionally removing later is preferred as give most options to edit in future, at little added storage space cost.

Is it possible to use the Insta Go 2 gyro data to stabilize the footage of a Canon M50 Mark II?
yes that's totally doable. A lot of people do that now. Some even use like RED Cameras on Cinelifters and use a GoPro for the gyro data. It is important that the gyro cam is hard mounted to the main camera. There must be no flex at all between both. You then just drag the video file of the Go2 into the Motion Data area of the application.
@@MarcFPV is it important in what direction the insta go 2 is mounted? I might try to 3D print a mount for the cold shoe and point it forwards.
But it could definitely be interesting, if you could mount it pointing at yourself.
@@Dewabarasunderan it will be easiest to just point it forward too. If not you have to play with the rotation settings.
rc3 not working for me on the gpu encoding side. i revert back to rc2
can you open a ticket on github? the devs are still working on the last fine tunes. maybe also try the latest dev build instead.

Use latest RC5 version. That should do the job.
If not: Check if disabling hardware accelleration helps and open a ticket on Github if possible.

where did you get the csv file??
for gopro no csv file is needed. gyro data are included in the video file.

can I use superview with Gyroflow?
currently there are no lens presets for superview. I tried to make one with my hero 6 but as the superview is distorted in software it was completely messed up. so that does not really work.

@@OnepackFpv wide is the best option. and in 4:3 aspect ratio recording and then exporting in 16:6 gives you the biggest field of view after stabilization.

or should I use filmora x or any other video editor?
Such a bad software!... I have the Go Pro 12 have the footage shot at 8:7 and Gyroflow does'nt even show gorpo 12 on the lensprofile, very limited 11 options & am forced to have it croped at 16:9...Can u please do this with the 11 or 12 at the 8:7 aspect rasio
