    There is a gyroflow OFX plugin that you can use in davinci to stabilize directly there. It makes the whole process much more easier

    Good News! Last Friday BlackMagic released a new firmware update that activates the gyro in all of our 4k/6k's and records the data to BRAW. Davinci Resolve 18 newest Beta has new stabilization option to make use of it in the place you normally choose the stabilization algorithm.

  • @muen1842
    @muen1842 Před 2 lety +2

    Absolutely amazing. So now we have every single handheld issue resolved.:
    Handheld stabilization? No problem- Gyro flow workaround
    No continuous autofocus? No problem, DJI 3D focus module with the new AXONCINE BM3DF G2 (released yesterday).
    Not enough light sensitivity or need full frame FOV? No problem. Luc adapter Dynamic magic booster for full frame look and an additional stop of light.
    Need a tilting screen or the screen is too difficult to see in the sun? No problem. Install the custom Tilta Modification (and get both a tilting screen as well as SSD internal media slot)
    The BMPCC6K has full flexibility of internal BRAW, PRORES, with all of these workarounds now in the modern digital camera age!! Amazing

    Gyroflow 1.1 was release last week and it brings a new sync algorithm that gives much better synchronization of the gyro data to the video. I find that it makes a huge difference and really helps with the rolling shutter correction.

  • @RhythmicEye
    @RhythmicEye Před 6 měsíci

    Not exactly. The gyro data is measuring inertial movement through x y & z axis. All you really need to do is mount the external gyro camera as close to your rig’s centre of gravity as possible and you should be pretty good for 2 dimensional image stabilisation.

    Maybe a smallrig cage for the GP which has 1/4 20s and then a 1/4 20 to 1/4 20 onto the BMPCC cage?

    Just a thought
    Can you use a clapper board or hands to be able to sync up both video files by removing the unwanted video before the clap sync ?
    Then when you use the files, they should sync perfectly as you’ve already synced them up with the clap sound
    Hope this makes sense ?

    Hi, what is your opinion braw camera stabilisation vs GoPro/GyroFlow stabilization??? Want to decide on a workflow and seems you have tried both (seen your other video on bmpcc 4k gyro stabilisation)....???

    • @AnotherCameraChannel
      @AnotherCameraChannel  Před rokem

      Very good question. I feel that the GoPro stabilisation works best for longer takes with more dynamic movements because it’ll zoom in and out accordingly for the best reframing. While the BMD Gyro is easier to use, is perfectly timed but if you’re too dynamic it’ll stay at the maximum zoom reframing it needs for that whole clip selection. It won’t zoom in and out to reframe for you which is a huge downside compared to something like Sony’s Gyro stabilising with Catalyst.

    • @AnotherCameraChannel
      @AnotherCameraChannel  Před rokem

      If the GoPro stuff doesn’t/won’t align properly then you’re screwed 😅

    • @t4t213
      @t4t213 Před rokem

      @@AnotherCameraChannel Hi thanks for your replies. I think a prudent workflow (bearing in mi d the aligning difficulty) would be to have data from both the GoPro and BMPCC 4K so you have best of both worlds in case you cannot use the GoPro data you always have the BMPCC 4K gyro data.
      Furthermore I think the GoPro route is beneficial if you are using other cameras besides the BMPCC 4K say like I have the Ursa 4.6k and the BMPCC OG which I use as cams A and C, the 4k is cam B, the latter two which of course don’t have gyro data ( so far as I know).
      Thank you again for your reply, please keep the valuable info coming, very much appreciated!!!

    • @t4t213
      @t4t213 Před rokem

      @@AnotherCameraChannel incidentally for me I don’t have the BM gyro data as I have downgraded my bmpcc 4K to firmware 6.1 and have the CinemaDNG codec to match the codec from my Ursa and bmpcc og. That’s why I am inclined to explore the GoPro route and of course I am assuming GyroFlow will work with CDNG codec’s and further that I will be able to carry this onto the other cams as mentioned.
      There are other comments on here about GyroFlow developments and this will hopefully continue to make the workflow more adaptable.
      Very interesting all this! Really excited 😆
