Big love to my gals at WeddingChicks.com for hosting this videooo.
A groom, don't forget to get a groom. That's important for a wedding. Or a bride...
I have noticed many brides that seem to have this idea that the wedding is all about her
I never understood it
I knew I was forgetting something!
@@Yetaxa the wedding is all about her, she’s the one who normally takes care of all the wedding details. So yeah it’s gunna be about her.
@@Katie-io6fv a wedding is about two people, since the marriage is the combining of two people
The bride is merely one half of that (unless of course, its two men getting married)
@@Yetaxa I'm not sure how many weddings you've had but they're about the bride

What's a bustle video?
@@beeblake7591 I just googled it, it's a video that teaches how to bustle a wedding dress. That is when someone essentially pins up the back of the dress, usually for the reception so it's not as big.
@@MizzSophiistiicated8 thanks!
Omg bless your heart thank you so much!!
We had a buffet with a ton of food leftover. Biggest regret was not bringing tupperware for it because it was delicious and would have made a great snack at midnight.
Girl, same. We had a buffet and had a lot of food left over. We wanted to be sure the family got any extra food, but forgot to ask for some to take to our honeymoon with us. Could of saved us from having to resort to a convenience store trying to get basics the next day.
That's a great tip!
Yes! We forgot 2 and forgot cake! We had only had the piece of shared cake and it was so good.
I would be careful with that, in Wisconsin (and likely other states as well) you can't take leftovers from a buffet due to health and liability concerns. I would check beforehand so you don't bring something you can't use.
lifebrarian In Illinois, we were not allowed to take leftover buffet items-and that was a shame.
Why am I watching this lol?
I’m a teenager who is supposed to
be doing homework😂
Because you are a bright and intelligent person and believe more info is better than little planning. the 🤗😎
Yooooo me lol I'm only 20 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shawn Begay only 20? 😂 im 18 getting married in 9 months
@@NoName-ht2fw 18 and 20 are both young ages to get married.

I don’t have a boyfriend therefore no fiancé therefore no wedding YETTT I am binge watching this girls wedding videos 😂
Brielle Imana You are not alone in that. 😂
I have been marred for 4 months and still banging this...
Same here
all that and I'm 19. my mom thinks I want to get married in seven years lmao
AYE
Planned my own wedding and didn't forget a thing! Yaay
Please share your tips
You: "Hey, we're about to do the bouquet toss, what song am I supposed to play?"
Me: A BOUQUET TOSS SONG!? *Frantically starts to Google* (Despite not even being engaged)
Single ladies by Beyoncé is very fitting!! Hehe
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I didn't even know you could play one. I forgot about tossing the Boquet also.. Lol! Thankfully, my Wedding was postponed from this November to next June. (We might do July, though I know he wants to get married before Father's Day. I don't want a May wedding, he sujested March and I said no to that.. because it would be too cold for an outdoor wedding. We have had it snow in March, within the last couple years. So, not a good idea. But, June it would be nice weather.)
The Jeopardy theme song?
The Photo Wrangler is probably the most slept on wedding detail... it does wonders
Also, have someone collect all of the cash and gift cards together so that you can use them on your honeymoon. This was extremely helpful to me and my hubby
lol I'm not even getting married but I still watch... you're so funny, "please feed us!" I swear that is me all the time.
Same! She is so helpful!!!
YES FEEDING THE VENDORS! Often times at my family parties we have a section (not just a table but like a section in a corner or something for them to put their stuff) just for the vendors with their own snacks and whatnot and we tell them that they’re also welcome to the food for the guests as well. We also let them in earlier than the guests so that if the want, they can eat before the event starts (ESPECIALLY the photographer) or they have some dry snacks that they can snack on throughout the event as well as some water
Good idea
Excellent and very thoughtful. The boss of the event production company I worked for didn't do this or care. It was like pulling teeth to get him to provide water.
Honest question- where to seat the photographer at my wedding? With other guests feels wrong to me..
You look so much like Sarah Jessica Parker
I was thinking the same thing about!
She's much prettier than SJP
kellij91 agreed
I also thought this as well!
Agree. She looks like a mix of SJP and Jamie Lynn Spears.
My clients always get so overwhelmed after they get engaged and they realize all that they have to do when it comes to wedding planning. These are great tips!
She said emergency kit and I thought, "First aid for my feet, bandaides, bandages, ice pack, ibuprofen..."
At the first wedding I planned/coordinated - I totally forgot to roll out the wedding runner. Didn’t dawn upon me until the bride and groom walked out. I slowly died inside 🤦🏻♀️
I appreciate how you get straight to the point but also explain things thoroughly! You're adorbs.
I just got engaged over the weekend, and I have gone into wedding planning mode (my fiancée has started calling it wedding brain) and your videos are super helpful!
Cara Brokes Congrats Cara 🎉🎉💍 Haha wedding brain is for sure a real thing! Let me know if there’s anything I can help you with 💕
For #12 & #23...the photography reminders....YES!! I'm a wedding photographer and even though I tell my couples to have someone designated for wrangling people for family photos, it's like herding cats and takes up much more time than you realize! I also agree with reminding brides to bring an invitation for pictures, most brides don't. but they make for great detail pics!

Why have a vendor, when you could have a buffet where people put food into their own plates. I’d have a small wedding and have certain tables line up first so it’s no so chaotic. Also guest book is pointless. I think it’d be more fun to have a photo booth and have guests leave extra photos in a folder to make a scrap book later full of wedding picture from guests and the photographers as well.
@@xkaykay420xx Buffet is more expensive. If you have 100 guests: with a vendor you need 100 meals (everyone chooses their meals, ex: chicken, fish, veg.). With a buffet you basically need 100 of each option because you don't know what each guest wants. If people serve themselves and people take the vegetarian option for fun you might run out by the time an actual vegetarien comes through the line and then they might not be able to eat anything. Plus you can't control portion sizes if people serve themselves so you end up paying for way more food than you actually need so that you don't run out. If you're lucky the caterer will pack up all the extra food for you and you can freeze it for the next month but if you're not lucky you've paid for way too much food that might just end up in the garbage.
Kaylee Ettleson it depends on what you want. I personally don’t want a buffet, so it’s all based on what you want
Yeah, we're cooking for our guests. Don't have any vegetarians on the list. We pulled off a funeral for 300+ people, with a food budget of $350. But our wedding will not be so large.
Menu:
Roasted pork
Buns
Salad
Beans
Chips & dips
Cake
Food for 100 +/- people = $150.

I'm not trying to be nasty but... These are very easily remembered.
I watched this video back when I first got engaged. I'm now getting married in less than 3 weeks and, MAN, she has saved me from all these mistakes
Ooooh! Can you do a video on tipping vendors? Maybe just one on etiquette type things where you lump that in with a few other things? Like if gratuity is included with your food vendor for instance, how much do you tip on top? Do you tip on top? Do you tip the coordinator if her fee was an extra thing on top of renting the venue? So many tipping questions.
Mel Hassan YES! This one is so important! I don’t want to poorly tip someone because I was uneducated.
Maybe advice on reading the fine print on the vendor contract
I don't believe after hiring and paying so much money I need to tip the vendor on top of his or her prices/ #ridiculous
I've learned so many things about American weddings from these videos
Ugh crying at number 25 right now. My partner and I got engaged this week and I needed that advice even in the planning stages. Thanks for the much needed reminder and tears. ❤️
I think it is soo cool that you invent yourself new in most of the videos. You look sooo different in most of them. I love experimenting with style
Getting married in 46 days! Your videos are so helpful!
I hope your wedding was amazing!
This is one of the most helpful wedding planning videos I’ve seen on CZcams (and girl, I’ve watched A LOT)!
Girl I can’t thank you enough! Recently engaged and already binge watching your videos. AMAZING TIPS
I coordinated my first wedding in May, and I'm just a little proud of how many of these things I remembered.
After an internship in wedding planning this summer...can’t relate to remembering to feed the vendors more 😂
I'm already married but I had a few of these issues, thanks for doing this so others can get the help they need
your channel is BEYOND HELPFUL. ugh thank you so much
I just love the way you speak about it all, it just gives more fire and inspiration to work on this amazing day, insted of stressing out. I am so happy that I found you. People with whom you are on their wedding day are so blessed! You are amazing!!
Wow I’m binge watching all of these wedding videos. SO HELPFUL
Also the hair and makeup is on point!
YAAAAAAASSSSS!
Jamie, I'm a wedding coordinator out here in Dallas and I was screaming my agreement with this video! So enjoying your videos :)
I had absolutely NO IDEA a wedding coordinator was necessary UNTIL WATCHING THESE VIDEOS 😭 now I’m stressing about having one ... about how much does a wedding coordinator charge ?? Does it depend on a lot of factors ? Or is it a flat rate ?
@@cristalrodriguez1589 A coordinator is not necessary for every wedding. But it's a must to have someone as a point person. Many brides pay a friend a fee just to be a day-off coordinator. Each coordinator offers different services, and charges different prices. Prices also vary by location. All will work with you from the beginning, some will offer partial service and almost all offer day-off services. It may seem pricy, but if you're having a wedding of over 100 people, and especially if distance is involved, (I live in Arizona, my daughter lives in upstate NY but the wedding is in Virginia) it is very helpful and worth the money. Google some in your area.
Your hair is literally always stunning and I am so impressed and jealous.
You are so amazing I can’t stop watching your videos I’m so glad i came across your channel!!
Bingeing on your videos because I am getting married in 2020 and currently planning. Love your videos!!! :) x

I absolutely love your content Jamie! I am getting married in December this year (Summer here in Southern Hemisphere) and your videos are giving me lifeee! Also love the Sandy vibes and your hair is looking fab xxx
I love love love love love this video, u gave me so many ideas to write down and discuss with my day of coordinator, please keep giving us tips and things we can do to have and to give to our guests an unforgettable day, thanks for all the insights!!!! ☺️☺️
Please don’t ever take this video down because I don’t know when I’ll get married but this will help!!!!!
You are amazing. Recently started my wedding planning business. I have used so much of your advice. I have two weddings coming up. I am using so many of your tips
Number 25 was my favorite tip. Super helpful video and I’ve saved it to look back on periodically as my planning process unfolds. Thank you so much 😊
I love that tip, before you walk down the isle, stop for a second and just look and take it all in
The only thing that’s frustrating about feeding vendors is that they are already changing you $1000 plus to be there and the meals cost $100 each. Everything unfortunately is just so damn expensive now.
Love the video and had a wedding planner for my wedding last month! She was exceptional and even though my day wasn't completely perfect, it went smoothly with the help of my planner!
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to know this. Thank you agsin fir another amazing video!
I just found your channel, I’m getting married next September so I’m currently binge watching! Seriously so helpful and I love how straightforward you are!
Congrats girl! You're doing awesome if you're already in the planning for next September!
This is an absolutely life saving video! Thank you soooo much for sharing your expertise with all of us!
Awwwww Jamie I just love you. Thanks for this video! Two months until my big day and I’m loving your vids

I love your videos!
Can you make a video on what a wedding planner does?
Just so we have an idea on what we can expect from industry.
You're giving off strong Carrie Bradshaw vibes with that hair and makeup. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
Great tips! So many details, it’s easy to get lost. Love the videos!
Thank you SO MUCH! These are great things that I am recently engaged and have already learned so much from you. My best friend will be getting married soon as well, and I was wondering if you would be able to do a MOH video -- what they need to know, what they should do, what their responsibilities are, etc. Thanks so much!!
Your hair looks AMAZING

Hey Jamie!
Recently stumbled across, as me and the little lady have started looking into venues! Absolutely adore the channel, it's great to see it from a perspective of someone in industry, and your thoughts/tips are well constructed and very helpful for planning!
From a videography/production standpoint, was also wondering what you were running for your lighting/audio setup?
