Description:
Animation showing the evolution of Nintendo consoles with their respective startups.
Some items on the list (such as Famicom Disk System and Satellaview) are not consoles, in fact they are peripherals but since they have a startup screen I decided to add them to the list

New Nintendo Console 2024
-Fun fact- The GBA SP will be 20 years old soon.
I don’t wanna accept that as fact
But it’s true😢
Fun fact next year the ds will turn 20
Best gb console in my opinion
The classic NES edition GBA SP released in 2004 as a throwback to the old days of the NES which released 19 years prior in 1985. 2004 was 19 years ago.
46 years of magic. Thank you big N!
Wtf
Yes
4:38 the fact that the GameCube was released 3 days after 9/11 and the n64 startup screen had the date 9/11.
North American release was 2 months later. Idk if they delayed it because of 9/11. Japan tended to get things months in advance, especially back then.
N64 startup screen is actually the N64 Disk Drive startup screen. Japan only release. I’m sure that’s just some stock footage from the late 90’s because you see that screen with the 9/11 literally everywhere.
The two other gamecube startup sounds can be played - here's how:
for the second: Plug in the controller in port 1 and hold Z while turning on
for the third: plug four controllers and hold Z in all plugged controllers while turing on

What a lovely trip down memory lane! Thanks!
That GCN launch screen gives me that “aw f**k yeah” moment
4:39 CLASSIC
Excellent, thank you!!
Wow, fantastic amazing, wonderful, so many video games memories!
My little Nintendo Collection: NES mini,SNES mini,DS lite,3DS and Switch lite.I like Nintendo Consoles.
I've always an Playstation person, but during the most hard years of my life, nintendo was the first console with NES that brought me lots of peace and happiness in my childhood. Nintendo Switch looks very amazing with some games of my likes and features i really like.
Now i want to give Nintendo it's deserved honor since so far years ago. After buying PS5, I'm right into buy Nintendo Switch OLED.
What about an xbox too.
If you don't already own a Nintendo Switch OLED I would recommend you to wait some more months until we officially know if nintendos next console is backwards compatible !
@@RedMonkeyificationof course it will be. Otherwise no one will buy it. The miserable failure of the wii u was even backwards compatible.
🤔 Most likely but let's be real here: It's Nintendo, so they're going to re-release every popular Nintendo game as an HD remastering. Mario Kart 9 will be Mario Kart 8 with all its DLC included and with updated graphics. Mario Odyssey will be re-release but with better shaders. All the old switch games will be re-release but with updated graphics. They'll also close the virtual store as per usual.
Where are the NES Mini, SNES Mini, iQue Player, Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS , Game Boy Player GC ? Would have been nice to show one iconic game per console to get an idea of the games on each machine. Thx for this vidéo :)
Can't wait to see what they do after Switch!
No intro at all probably
Finally a video that doesn't use the fake SNES start up and differencates the NES startup with the Famicon
So, the N64 didn’t have that startup. It would only have it when you added the 64DD.
And the 3DS didn’t have a startup. You would just turn it on. But however, when you opened up any software, the “startup” will play.
(The only reason I know about the 3DS one is that I have a 3DS. A launch 3DS, to be exact.)
and the switch didn't have one either
@ES272 the switch (2017) has but no sound, just the nintendo logo then the Nintendo switch logo
Thank you! this helped me on my video showing the evolution of nintendo
5:00 I wonder if you can still find those Pokémon Mini things around eBay…
The Wii and the 2ds were my first consoles. Currently I have a n64, gba sp, Wii, Wii U, and a Nintendo switch lite. (Those are just my Nintendo consoles) Somebody threw away my 2ds without my permission. I should probably tell them they owe me a new one.
That's happen to me when someone threw my midnight blue DSi away
I grew up playing the ds and 3ds, who else grew up playing those
Great! I noticed the video conflated the Nintendo 64 and the Nintendo 64DD, though.
3:22 Umm... that date at the bottom looks kinda sus.
My first console, the original gameboy when my mother bought it for me in 1991 as an 11 year old along with Super Mario Land. I still own them to this day. The control pad needs some fixing though.
Theirs also the SF-1. Its real obscure and not many people know about it.
yea but thats not officially released by nintendo
Was made by Sharp, not Nintendo.
The last G&W’s should just be part of the full G&W library.
While I didn't feature the entire Game & Watch collection, my intention adding them was to give the information that Nintendo continues to release them nowadays.
I just found some of them missing, but don't worry, they're really rare and most people forget about them.
I'll redo this video soon, can you tell me the ones I missed?
@@nxevo_ Of course. First, the Nintendo Sharp television (basically a tv but with a built in Famicom) The twin famicom (a changed design famicom, with a built in disk system), the Nintendo 64 DD peripheral (Actually, I think the intro of the 64 you put on the video actually is of the 64DD, but I'm not sure), the Pokemon Pikachu 1 and 2 (japan exclusives, basically tamagotchis but with a pikachu as a pet), the Ique Player (a chinese "portable" 64, there's not much info about it, but I know it's oficially licenced by nintendo.), The Panasonic Q (Japan exclusive, it was a silver gamecube with a built in music player and a remote), the Visteon Dockable Entertainment (US exclusive, it was a gameboy advance sp but for cars, it was oficially licensed) ant the Wii family edition (it was a wii that could only be used in horizontal mode). There's not much info about them, because most of them were country exclusive.
What about the NES/Famicom Classic and SNES/Super Famicom Classic?🤔
Exactly!!!
SNES is the G.O.A.T.
2:55 the Virtual Boy was also called the Red Headache
A history of Nintendo consoles.
I had the NES, SNES, GB Light, N64, Gamecube & DS 2XL. 😁
DS 2XL....?
I had/have NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy advance SP, GameCube, Nintendo DS Lite, Wii, Wii U, New 3DS XL, Switch.
@@tjeerdtrekkie1030 i think they refer to 2ds xl..
3:29 you can clearly see the date on the n64 intro referencing something.
I saw it too
Something about the Nintendo 64 I like a lot.
Nintendo 64 was released on 5th sonic's birthday 😮
they always forget the NDS Bday start sound
GC ist King I Love the Intro!
I love it a nostalgic trip down memory lane but....... I wish you would have added the Super GameBoy Adapter & The GameCube Gameboy Adapter in there too 🙂
fun fact: all consoles from the first half of the video are more than 20 years old
Nice video!
i'm here playing on my 3ds XL while watching this
Great video.
Gameboy advance sp: I'm just a hallucination. I never existed
2:07 слушайте, а я помню, как играл на такой в детстве)
Correction: The NES has a startup
Most iconic startup: Gamecube
The 64dd, the fillips cd or whatever it is called and the Nintendo playstation were missing.
Nice Nintendo History!
2DS's iconic intro: am i a joke to you?

Meine ersten Konsolen von Nintendo waren der GameBoy und das legendäre NES! Und das hat mich in meiner Kindheit sehr geprägt...
I still have my GBA SP (silver) with me, along with a pink one, New 2DS XL, and the Switch.
RIP to my o2DS. Didn't survive the flood but the GBA DOES! Fr, both the 2DS and GBA were in the same box and got water damage. Surprisingly, the GBA's motherboard survived.
When did the flood happen?
@@KinNett626 2020. It's not like it matters. Poor drainage system is the cause of the flood.
The first one showed in the video was made 5 days before my mom was born, what a coincidence
the famicom is too good
and also: why is the date on the nintendo 64 that?
Just missing the ique. Cool video
The virtual boys startup sound was pretty goog

Klass kontent 👍🎮🕹😎
I’m a big Nintendo fan!
Couple of complaints:
You technically used the Gameboy Pocket startup for the OG Gameboy. It should have been the pea-green startup.
You also used the N64DD for the N64 startup while ignoring any mention any mention of the N64DD completely. It needed to be listed separately like you did with the Famicom Disk System and BS-X startups. Yes, it was a Japan only release, but so were the other two and they got mentioned correctly.
You skipped the Wii startup. Idgaf if it’s only a “health and safety warning” screen, it’s still a startup screen and wasn’t included despite being iconic.
Also, the New Nintendo 3DS has a different startup screen from the original 3DS, EXACTLY like how the DSi has a different startup screen from the DS. Yet, you showed the DSi startup screen but not the NN3DS.
Overall, not a bad video. Enjoyable but it needs to be finished
Also missed the ique
He’s using emulation footage. The pea-green color comes from the reflector behind the screen and is not part of the video signal.
@@TacticratsThe iQue was not a Nintendo product.
Why is no one talking about the calender on the n64💀

レトロゲームなかなかいいものだね二位天道さんいなければいろんな名作ゲームとか伝説生まれなかったおもう。
The new style SNES was my first Nintendo system than the original SNES and I was born in 1991.
Why does everyone think this is the Nintendo 3DS start up, like that’s the video when you start up a game just without the sound, the real one is just the Nintendo 3DS turning on normally
YESS! Thank you!!!
Sega consoles? 🤔🤔
It's a good idea 😁
You could also do the evolution of Apple iPhones
@@nxevo_ I would assume the end goal is to do this for every major console maker in history
@@nxevo_ You forgot the Computer Mahjong Yakuman, the Bassmate Computer, the Pokemon Pikachu 1, the Nintendo Mini classics series, the MGA Color Fx series, the 64DD, the Pokemon Pikachu 2 SG, the Wii Family Edition, the Famicom Classic, the NES Classic, the SNES Classic, and the Super Famicom Classic.
@@nxevo_ Actually the N64 doesn't have a startup which was released in 1996, only the 64DD has a startup which was released in 1999.

great history trip well done
The date on the n64
Wait, so the Pocket Pikachu and the Pocket Pikachu 2 doesn't count?
Or that Pokéwalker
I'm going to redo this video because I forgot some consoles (64DD, Nes Mini, Snes Mini, Pikachu, Pikachu 2GS) 😃, but the Pokéwalker is a pedometer, an accessory for Nintendo DS. It makes sense to put it on a list of consoles? 🤔
@@nxevo_ yes
@@mrnukes797 I don’t think so. You don’t play games on a pedometer.
