type 2 diabetes, primary drivers of heart disease.
26:30 Inflammation is an important part of the development of heart disease.
27:40 High blood pressure root cause is insulin resistance/metabolic disease.

I bought this heart surgeons book. It’s excellent. This is the best interview I’ve ever seen on heart disease. My cardiologist just gets irritated when I ask him anything about diet. He just peddles pills. Well I’m doing a carnivore diet and it’s cleared up my diverticulosis. Skin tags disappearing. Sinus and allergy issues. Snoring. Sleep apnea. High Blood pressure. Psoriasis. Eye floaters. IBS. All gone Within the first month. Insulin resistance and pre diabetes will all be gone soon. Ive lost weight. Im Hoping to be off my BP meds soon.
She
I would like to know exactly what your eating, please. I need encouragement to keep going with carnivore. I do know that after two months of carnivore I quit having diarrhea. So I had a gut problem. Since after having COVID and fatigue the whole month of January and working I gradually slid off carnivore. I'm getting back on. I have only retained a 10 pound weight loss. Weight wasn't my prime concern but I do have 25 more lbs. to lose. I've already increased my walking so that should help. I'm 71 yrs. Thx!
I gave Dr Caldwell estletyn who does vegatarian which is good but this is totally opposite and the vax made me have clots after micro how can this be it's totally opposite I'm so worried to do this and now breast cancer ,,,,? I think I have metabolic disease and isulin resistance so now what do I do ,,,
. I suggest you read Dr. Annette Bosworths book 'Anyway you can'. She's an internist who discovered how the keto & zero carb diets helps with cancer. She also has courses available & a youtube channel.
@@lynlawley8903also you need to cut sugar out of your diet… period! Sugar feeds cancer. Guess what carbs turn into when you eat them… sugar… period! Look at the carnivore diet. Also don’t eat any processed food. That will for sure help with your insulin resistance. You must be dedicated.
It is a rare phenomenon to hear a doctor say "the body can heal itself".
too bad those doctors were CENSORED during the CovidScamdemic!!
While I partially agree with you..the fields of Osteopathic Medicine has been promoting that for over 100 years.
The doctors know of course. They face uncooperative patients who choose poor diet and health habits and prefer pills.
Yes your correct as I worked in a hospital and the cancer ward would have people on mobile drip stands but would be outside smoking, some people look for the magic pill and don't help themselves or listen to some facts and how cancers develop as every day is a day in school.

Very true. It doesn't help that industry controls government and profit is their motive so our food supply is compromised and natural health options are deliberately thwarted.
in summary: fixing your chronic inflammation (food, better earlier sleep, reduce stress) will greatly reduce many deadly consequences (diabetes, heart diseases, brain problems,...).
Appreciate the great interview, more of those, please!
I use Curcumin ( active ingredient of Turmeric) which I take for Ulcerative Colitus but effectively helps reduce inlflammation throughout the body, and it's natural.
Thanks for the summary
Thank you. An hour video is too long for many.
How do you reduce stress? Financial etc the cost of living is outrageous the govt is our enemy I don't see how we reduce that stress?
I use turmeric with black pepper in food, vitamin K2, and fermented vegetables.
Had masdive heart attack at 44. Refused quad bypass and changed my diet to strict non processed foods. This was in 2007 and I'm still here. Stopped my statin about 10 years ago also. My cardiologist was extremely upset with me during covid also bc i refused the juice. He actually told me im lucky I didnt die of covid. Sometimes patients can teach doctors new ways to treat disrase instead of going under the knife.
Wow that is amazing!! I am doing research since I am afraid I will have to have corotid surgery due to a 75% blockage & seems there is no way to remove plaque without some kind of surgery. fearful of doing anything or doing nothing, but change my eating even more. like way less cheese! I eat a high saturated fats. No dead animals except fish! But the dairy stuff has lead too this high plaque blockage. Damn!
Based on my statistical research when I worked for the drug companies I refused to take Statins. My doctors kept telling me I would die. They wrote on my medical record that I was insane. I will be 80 in August and enjoy cooking and walking. I take lessons in German over the internet every day and have increased my vocabulary. So life without statins has been good. Medicare insurance requires that I see my doctor once a year or else I would not have gone to see them. That being said professional medical advice has helped me e.g. my brother said he and the other airline pilots he knew as a pilot himself all recovered from insulin resistance after reading Protein Power by Dr. Eades and so did I. Likewise my years of painful cramps ended when I took magnesium recommended by Dr. Ken Berry also on the internet. I am trying to join and subscribe to some of the online doctors but for some strange reason some of the subscriptions are easy to get and others are not. ..... Weren't we all told that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound. of cure. Actually I think it is a ton of cure that our country needs. LOL The only year I got the Flu (including Covid) was the year I let my doctor talk me into getting a vaccine. I guess that is because I am strick about avoiding sugar and flour since reading Dr.. Eades.
Do you take anything natural instead of statin? I started nattokinase recently
@@maggiemirenda7146 I do take vitamin B6..12, C, E, potassium, mag, zinc and D3 daily. I make a drink with ginger root, honey, lemon and cinnamon 4 oz daily. I also eat alot of hot peppers lol

I’m doing niacin flushing niacin and red rice yeast and some other stuff. But I can’t get rid of the plaque that’s already there I can just prevent More from building up.
Dr Ovadia is a breath of fresh air. His message is so inspiring.
...and clear.
I mean seriously???? nothing to do with the vax??? you people are evil
Nothing new, you should know this already.

Great discussion. We in other specialties do not have the time available to seek out and find such broad comprehensive opinions summarizing the latest findings. So very much appreciated.
Fantastic content, one of your best podcasts ever IMHO. It’s such a shame that high-quality content like this has to be looked for on CZcams and other platforms rather than being disseminated at every doctors office in the country, and featured on news shows, etc.
Yes - These are clues as to what's been going on.
I just ordered Dr. Ovadia's book. An inspiring doctor. I learned about some tests I will ask to have done at my next doc visit. The notion of avoiding processed food is one I plan to follow religiously. Thank you for a most helpful podcast.
This was one of the most VALUABLE.and IMPORTANT videos out there.
This. I've shared it.
I had to chime in at 5:12 timestamp where the doctor is talking about bad information from influencers, many times doctors! Good gravy , I am 68 years old and have had it with what we can’t eat this latest health go. I fed my family all natural foods, for example butter. Then the margarines started…. No eggs…. No seed oils…
The food industry is killing us, and who knows what we should eat anymore!
I’m beginning to think that Big Pharma, the greedy food manufacturers and the mainstream healthcare physicians are trying to kill us off!
Eat meat, fatty red meat, grass finished if you can. And eggs. And butter or ghee. And fish. Avoid grains, “vegetable” oils, sugar, and processed “foods.” Have you watched any of Dr. Ken Berry’s channel? I’ve been eating 95% carnivore for a year, and I feel much better! My bloodwork is great!
@@susangrande8142 well you also have to consider saturated fats can cause problems with carotid artery blockage another artery blockage. A lot of cheese cause I didn’t animals and saturated fat has caused me to have a block credit arteries. So I didn’t think that that was going to cause a problem for me & it did!
But I would probably want to check my credit arteries with an ultrasound and get my calcium scores and check my triglycerides my cholesterol Mail deals and I each deals to see where they are before I go on saturated fat.
🥚 EGGS . EAT THEM.
check research.
@@susangrande8142 well just check out your carotid arteries for plaque from too much saturated fat.
I ate too much cheese and I have too much plaque in my carotid artery.
So eating fatty meats and butter and things like that can also cause plaque plaque in your arteries.
I also eat butter and eggs am I cholesterol was so so the plaque in my carotid artery is 70 to 75 blocked!!
Excellent video. Great to hear a Dr speaking about solving the root cause rather than just prescribing a pill or doing surgery to treat the symptoms. He says he was self taught. They don’t teach how to stay metabolically healthy in medical school (intentionally).
Indeed. Excellent Video!
Dr Ovadia is clearly extremely well versed & knowledgeable, but a big shout out to the interviewer as well...excellent
Yes. The way it should be done.
Absolutely. He knew what he was talking about and he didn't interrupt

Please look up Dr. Ken Berry! He is a huge fan of carnivore/keto diet. He has over 3mm followers on CZcams!
@@jesusislord2164 yes Dr. Berry has done the world a lot good.
@@jesusislord2164 A few points:
Sorry, but the whole world cannot eat meat only, unless we start eating Soylent Green. (If you get my drift, 😄)
#2: Obviously humans were not designed to just eat meat. Just examine our teeth. Then examine a dog's teeth, whom nature did design to eat only meat. (Get it???) Thru the last million years, we ate mostly plant material and our genetics reflect that
#3: You cannot get the nutrients you need w/o eating plant material. You will pay for this behavior.
#4: This s just a fad. YES! It is an improvement over the disastrous diets the masses have. But that doesnt mean it is the best diet for us. ( And yes, the Innuit ,(above the Arctic Circle), traditionally lived off of full carnivore. Still, that does not imply that this is the best one can do)
#5: This one you will hate to hear: Carnivore is for lazy people. Weve found that one can lose weight while getting no exercise with this. (I have a good friend who has a sedentary job who has well demod this fact.) AGAIN, while this is good, (compared), it is not the best he can do. No matter what you may eat, a sedentary lifestyle is a disaster for your health. Just one effect is that you are going to have very sluggish mitochondria, and that is a factor in all disease.
The most excellent diet is not going to be full carnivore, ( but also it is also obviously not going to be what the average American is doing today)
Excellent Talk!
I believe exercise IS helpful, because if you do pumping exercises you are working your blood vessels, veins, capillaries. You increase blood flow throughout your body. Your body will adjust and adapt by improving the pipeline and may even build new to deal with it. However exercise does NOT replace the need for a good diet. It IS helpful and will improve upon a good diet
Also, building up body heat and increasing blood pressure is like flushing the pipes in a sense.
Iwas told young that I have hardening of the arterys. All I was offered was statins. I tried them but I DIDN'T feel well. I looked into calcium Disodium EDTA treatments but it was not supported, my insurance wouldnt let me try it.
I came to the conclusion that I should stop taking Calcium.I learned the kind I used (calcium carbonate) came from ground up seashells. I was having alot of kidney stones and I had bone loss despite using it. I GOBBLED TUMS,which is calcium carbonate. My heart looked like a 5 yr.old, so I studied suppliments. Here's what I tried; I then switched to calcium proprionate , magnesium glycinate, vit D3 (not D2 in milk which is synthetic). I made sure I took vit.A,C,E.
I just had my bone scan and the Tech. was shocked, --my bone loss halted at 62 ( this after early surgical menopause no HRT since 2011).
OK thats becau🎉se you did a better calcium , it sounds like I'm going to try you're route I'm doing small fish with bones but we now have micro plastic and they say that also , has problems ,, and sibo and other parasites are a problem its just ? What to do ! Get out n enjoy as much as you can ! Spring is almost here in England,, n SUN,

It has little to do with heart disease and longevity.
The damage was still be caused by glucose no matter what you do. There is a lot of information now on the damage caused by exercise cortisol, over exercise. Better to do yoga, pilates, walking, in that case yes it has health benefits for more and brain, but many people have exercised their butts off and ended up with atherosclerosis because of carb addiction, even whole grains, read grain brain
Thanks to people like Dr. Ovadia, I've decided I'm my best doctor. I'm ketovore for life.
Yes, I agree, it’s great to have our lifestyles affirmed.

We are our own best doctors most f the time
Caldwell Esselystyn. Cardiologist with Cleveland clinic. Plant based. Did the research on reversing heart disease. Rip esselstyn. Michael Klaper. John McDougall MD. ALL PLANT BASED. WATCH THEIR VIDEOS NOT THIS EXTREMELY FAT DOC. KETO IS TERRIBLE.
@jd4444 ornish is a plant-based doctor, tends to lead to bias. I know what my scans show, and I know how much better I feel on a ketovore nutrition system.
Great conversation! Dr Ovadia’s style makes it very easy to understand. I learned so much from this and made notes to take to my own cardiologist. Thanks
Excellent discussion. I’m a functional medicine MD. I’m downloading this to send to my patients!
Fantastic spot on information. Thank you.👑
I started whole food plant based about 10 years ago along with B12 and D3 K2 supplements. I dropped 120 pounds painlessly and standard metabolic panel tests improved dramatically. I hear the same from people on carnivore. Becoming increasingly convinced that processed food is at the core of most health issues.
That is great, but I do plant based organic mainly & I have a very high calcium score. 1,000 to B exact!
I also take B12,Vit D sometimes since mine is high 66 & I take many other supplements as I can afford to.
Could not do the carnivore diet because of how animals R raised & the fact that U gotta kill them to eat them. Bothers me still. Also meat is ever so expensive. Way out of my budget!
So those R 2 reasons I eat as I do, but I have 70 to 75 % carotid blocked artery & 50% on the other 1.
So I am guessing it must B something else making my calcium so high. I take various mags. also. Could B having eaten cheese as 1 protein source. Not sure, but I am facing a serious blockage now.
I do not know of any real way to get rid of plaque except a surgery.
Very scary to say the least!
High carb or low carb? Seed oils, sugar, processed foods? I suspect your diet has been on the high side in the above. Meat doesnt make a difference its removing the above.
@@hemisphere903 Were U speaking to me? If so I DO NOT eat lots of processed foods. I eat mostly organic fresh food, but I do love my cheese & that is probably what has caused my plaque in my carotid artery. I'm trying to cut back on cheese. I eat almost no bread, no potatoes, little noodles & rice, cutting out some cream & no pretzels & alsmst no sweets except organic strawberries, & blue berries..
It is so difficult to find stuff to eat. I have not been eating dead animals, but am thinking I may have to eat the least expensive dead animal meats so I can get protein outside nuts & cheese!!
I eat as much organic I can find. I try NOT to eat anything NOT organic too..
But I think eating all the saturated fat has created my high calcium score & the plaque in my neck artery. I will Be checking for blockage in my leg veins as well. I am getting some fluid in my ankles these days.............................
Happy for you. However my experience (and my wife) was that traditional food pyramid diet and vegetarian diet as problems worsened, it did not help. Went Keto and a huge improvement. Toyed with carnivore (which to us seemed stupid) but surprisingly found it was fine - think it as excellent elimination diet. But decided to use Keto. I have no problem eating meat, every living thing on this planet serves as food for others. Living in the country I know nature does not give a stuff about how things die.
Of course that's what it is and these people know that just eat real food but don't overdo any one food
Excellent interview, thank you

It’s a great conversation
Great interview, so much information!
My dad had his first heart attack when he was 41. I was diagnosed with CAD at 37. It's really hard and scary to make good medical decisions knowing that most cardiologists are just going to follow the directives they were told by Pharma.
Hi Brandon what you describe is almost same as my experience. Dad had heart attack at 40 and I had angina at about same age. Been on statins ever since and 3 stents over the years. Now approaching 56 and just taking each day as it comes hopefully a miracle cure one day!
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH OF THIS INFO should be closely examined. … in my opinion of course, from my own research.
Dr JACK KRUSE (neurosurgeon) said once that he would NEVER prescribe a statin drug. He said they are a mega billion dollar industry (😎) and they destroy the muscles in your body, starting in the legs .. and … your HEART is a muscle 🤔 (think about that …)
WHAT !!! ???
my friend completely cleared his atherosclerosis by taking high doses of a natural organic made from silkworms … NATTOKINASE (you can take up to 20 per day)
@@colpin99- statins? Why, why, why? Making the numbers behave doesn't make you healthy. You're shutting off your bodies repair mechanism.
Darko Vlček made a very good point when he said that the lab numbers of "glucoholics" aren't necessarily normal or healthy, and that LDL is not the evil monster made out by the medical system. When you eat carnivore, you need more bile to process the fat. The body produces more LDL to make bile. We also need cholesterol to form vitamin D and other hormones, and to rebuild cell walls. Doctors need to stop prescribing statins as a heart healthy intervention.
I understand what you mean. It's so very scary in the medical industry as docs are taught to do no harm but are steered to make money by following the standard of care protocol for every disease. Insurance companies play a big role too since they don't authorize payment for alternative, natural or holistic care. The "keep them sick so they come back" model is their money maker. Curing someone from the root cause doesn't make money. You're your own best advocate. The hospital emergency room should only be used for emergencies only (heart attack, stroke, unbearable pain, broken bones, etc). I only use conventional docs for testing as a prescription is needed for an ultrasound, etc. I take their advice with a grain of salt, do my own research and use my own discernment. After the last 2-3 years, the medical industry has shown their true colors and I don't trust them at all. Keto, ketovore and carnivore are best for health, especially the heart but it must be full time for life. Sugar and high refined carbs don't mix with good fat and grass fed/wild caught protein. Do your own research. Dr. Berg is a chiropractor but is a wealth of info along with keto and every other ailment you want info on. Dr. Darren Schmidt is located in Michigan and can see patients remotely but have 3 day travel packages for a visit. He's got this uncanny way of connecting the dots on root causes and has been very successful, especially with the heart. He does carnivore and Berg does keto. Check them out, both are on CZcams! Dr. Pradeep Jamnadas is a medical cardiologist in Florida and supports the non-conventional mindset and more holistic. He's on CZcams as well and sees patients. Time to fire your conventional docs and use docs that have your health interest in mind.
Hmm. Where did my controversial comment go? I can't see it anymore.

Excellent content!
We need more cardiologist's like Dr Ovadia, I just saw my cardiologist and he persistantly tried to get me on a statin, my BP was 120/82, I've been on a OMAD diet for 2 1/2 years lost 35lbs and 4" on my waist , I had a stent placement 5 years ago haven't see my cardioloist for 4 years and took myshelf off BP and statin meds, I need a good Dr to help me manage my medibolic health.
I just want to make you aware of something important. When I had my first massive heart attack, my BP was absolutely normal during that MI. It was 120/80 and bc it was normal the ER nurse refused to give me a nitro even though I was begging for an hour. He got mad at me bc I refused the x-ray and ABG (arterial blood gases)games. I tried to educate a fellow mwd staff only for him to raise his voice at me stating " I'm going to write in your chart your refusing docs orders so there's no room for you to sue us" then huffed out the room while I'm yelling at him to have doc order me CnP plus nitro now! Doc ordered what I asked and couldn't get me transferred by helicopter fast enough. When I arrived at next hospital rolled into surgery, the surgeon looked at me and said " I can't believe your awake talking to me yet". Then he allowed me to watch the stent surgery plus pointed out where my blockage was so I knew. I never should have lived through that MI.
Never think just bc BP is normal range that your good to go is my point. I suggest a strict diet change and I still take my blood thinner as I've not yet figured out what holistic med I want to supplement with. As for stating, I stopped them way back in 2011. I pray you stay feeling well and only keep your health moving in right direction 🙏
Excellent questions, excellent answers. It's very rare to find this combination!
So refreshing to listen to this practical information. I agree with all of this!

@@9EDdie4 The same how it prevents acne, ezcema etc. With sunburns its more of the fat profile.
come to NZ or Australia on a high UV day - you will be brutalised and this good Dr would be to . I have been in many other courtiers where sun is just fine,. People get surprised in New Zealand when sunburnt in 20 minutes . Really pleasant to have low UV days and get massaged by the sun as opposed to beaten up. Anyway no matter where you are midday summer sun is better avoided , much nicer to get sun earlier or later in day
That happened to me on raw vegetarian food and green juices; no more sunburn son my skin even with hours on the beach ! I couldnt believe it ! Food is everything ! But if you think juste 2 seconds it makes sense. People being used so much to be told what to do they stop thinking by themselves and have lost the good sense and intelligence.
Great info in this interview! 👍
Keep spreading the word dr. Olvadia
Thank you both. Very much.
Thank you so much for this very informative interview. New subscriber here.
What I liked most about this interview, was the doctor’s confidence.
Great information by a great doctor!
Great interview. Lots of great questions to help me in my journey .
RARE intellectual excellent interview we all need to hear!!!!!!! OMG!, LISTEN PEOPLE!!!!
Thanks for this interview. I have metabolic disease and high blood pressure. It's great to have guidance.
Excellent video! I am doing a deep dive into my lipid panel since finding out I have a high number of oxidized LDL and APOB. My other markers of metabolic disease are low. My naturopathic doctor wanted me to lower my saturated fat intake to less than 10% of my total calories. (She is a Peter Attia fan). I have done this as an experiment. I also introduced a higher carb level to under 100 carbs per day. I just took my second blood test and I am waiting for the results. I wasn’t fasted the first time. I plan on having a CAC done as a baseline. I am 57. I also just started BHRT. Needless to say, all of the content of this video was very interesting to me. Thanks again!
Thank you. Well worth listening to, even if you have listened to Dr Ovadia before.
Great interview! One thing to consider that I may have missed. Seed oil diet of farm animals. You're getting them more than you think.
Doesn’t effect the food from the animal. Dr. Ken Berry did a study on that.
So helpful! Thank you very much!
Great Video Thank You!
Kelly Hogan just interviewed a gal who TOTALLY reversed her CAC score and it wasn’t supposed to be possible at all according to the explanation. Soo cool!!
In spain also MARIA LAJUSTICIA did it with anecdotical cases, she promite Mg intake..
Yeah sure. 😂
I watched that. It was remarkable.
How??? Reverse how????
HOW did she reverse her CAC score?
Fabulous interview all the way around! I have no doubt you will get lots of push back.
great interview, great questions ,Thanks Mike
Hi Mike
Ty for sharing this info. I learnt alot from this interview. I had open heart surgery 2020 aortic valve replacement. Don't have a proper diet in place yet but I am mindful of the dangers. Its also hereditary throughout my whole family. Your book sounds very informative. I'll have to get it.
What a great, informative interview. Dr. Ovadia is a trusted Cardiologist. All this has put my mind at ease that I’ve chosen the right pathway to health. 👏👏
Thanks for this wealth of info🙂
Outstanding interview!! thank you
This is probably the most important video and interview on the Internet and CZcams today! I have no words to express the gratitude I have for true thinkers and medical mavericks like Dr. Ovadia! In fact, I’m desperately seeking him out in consultation for my husband, who just underwent open heart quadruple bypass surgery. All of his doctors, including his internist, cardiologist, cardiac surgeon, and endocrinologist insist that he must remain on statins, blood pressure medications including beta blockers, levothyroxine and baby aspirin for the rest of his life. No other options entertained. No detailed lipid profile ordered. No discussion about diet or nutrition other than the recommended low fat high plant diet offered when specifically asked about it. He is only 60 years old and has always been very active and healthy up until a month before his surgery at the end of January. The scales are falling from our eyes now, though, thanks to the truth being shared by other carnivore champions out there! Doctors need to become educated and practice the Hippocratic oath, not the status quo!
Finally a doctor that gives us hope, thanks a lot for doing this.
I eat every 36 hours, and the diet mostly consists of various sprouts salad , eggs, and cooked vegetables in ghee.
Any thoughts on this?
You have to have red meat for protein ,but rest is all good
@@laviniaseyI actually eat a bunch of spouted seeds along with eggs because it covers all the amino acids I need , and in the right quantity.
Wonderful information!
Thank you both for this very informative presentation…. I’m working through my chronic situation with inflammation and dyslipidemia / high LDL. My CiMT scan shows long-standing atherosclerotic calcifying plaque.
Wow! Thank you gentlemen. I learned sooooo much. Of course will have to watch again. But wow. This was wonderful!
