Personally I think it's fair for people to compare this remaster to Luigi's Mansion 3 because they had the nerve to charge the same price for it! Dark Moon was $40 originally on the 3DS, and now they're charging $60 for it! That's ridiculous! Now, if they sold this for $30 on the eshop, then I'd agree, it'd just be a nice option for people, and it clearly shouldn't be compared, as it's a 3DS remaster, but when they charge the same price, it's hard not to compare them!

Hear me out, Luigi’s mansion 2 came out in 2013, 11 years ago money back then was worth more way before huge inflation so it looks like they are changing higher prices but really compare todays money to 2013 it’s basically the same
There are also no in game purchases so besides people buying the game Nintendo doesn’t really make much money off it no matter how many people say they do it for money I’m talking about you @Kelbeangirl93

3:03 that be really cool, because we’d get full art for each mansion, which we haven’t gotten before.
That definitely would be cool if that happens. Like the last time you played you had a specific mansion’s mission up and it showed that mansion you were previously in.
The screen brightness is a very nice option, really appreciate that since the Darkness can make this gane a lot of more fun
I hope they also port Luigi's mansion 1 for switch.

Title screen looks sick, and I like your idea about changing the mansion in the background
It's basically for people who want to get into series or fans of this game. Like Prime remastered or Pikmin 1 + 2, this game will not only help get newer people more familiar with the series(mainly because there's actual Mansions in this) but will also help boost the series popularity beyond just 3.
It's so weird that they're charging full price for this though, as Pikmin 1 and 2 COMBINED were only $50 and Metroid Prime, which was a full Remake with new assets and models entirely, was only $40! Idk why a 3DS game with barely any changes has been uncharged by 30%? I still will pick it up as a Luigi's mansion fan, but the price definitely boggles me, and I hope it doesn't kneecap the game's potential popularity on Switch. Not everyone is as rabid of a Luigi fan with loose cash to spend😂
@@sethfeldpausch4337 Basically because it's a "Mario" game. So they know it will sell at least 2-3 Million at most(especially with the popularity of the Mario movie).
I really want to play and see you play this game. I've been anxiously waiting for this since the direct in June last year :)
Using the dual scream for the pause screens and stuff is a cool way for them to port the bottom screen without looking weird

The title screen looks way better than the original. Of course, I expected it to be a little similar to LM3 having a lot of details on it than the black background of the original. I love the new brightness slider setting and how they implemented the Dual Scream. It is a nitpick if you can do it only on the tv but we also have the lighting setting on the switch. The X and B button thing drives me insane. I mean I guess the first game had multiple different things you did with the A button but they could have removed that.
I cant remember which games do it, but in my opinion the best brightness sliders on Switch are the ones programed to have diffrent brightnesses depending on if the console is docked or in handheld.
In Luigi's Mansion 1 on the 3DS, we can see at one moment, E.Gadd from Luigi's Mansion 2 calling from the future to send Gooigi to the past, that means that there two temporalities i say, one where Luigi's Mansion 1 on the GameCube and Luigi's Mansion 2 on the Switch (I'll explain later) take place and another with Luigi's Mansion 1 on the 3DS and Luigi's Mansion 2 also in the 3DS take place. Look ; In the first temporality E. Gadd doesn't send Gooigi in the past like the second temporality, so we don't have Gooigi playable in the Luigi's mansion 1 on the GameCube so I made a theory that E.Gadd would keep Gooigi in the present to make him playable on Luigi's Mansion 2 on the Switch (but from what I've been seeing, Gooigi won't be here in Luigi's Mansion 2 on Switch am I wrong?). But about Luigi's Mansion 3, I don't know where to place it since E. Gadd introduces Gooigi to Luigi for the first time.
What do you guys think? All remains on Luigi's Mansion 2 on the Switch now to prove or deny my theory
Technically its the second time Luigi met Gooigi as when E.Gadd took Gooigi out of his suitcase, he had "Someone" to help him with the prototype, Someone being highlighted green.

I think you can just adjust the brightness of the screen through the switch settings in handheld mode. I don’t know if that works in the same way or not though.

I cannot wait for this game to be launched! I did play the original on 3DS and it was fun But now with this game coming to Switch I am so Glad that it is and with better controls as well! Also if Nintendo ever does bring the First Luigi’s Mansion to Switch I hope its a remake that it is still the same game But with the Graphics/ Art style of Luigi’s Mansion 3 though that would be awesome in my opinion.
The tv brightness only on tv mode is obvious, most tv’s don’t have a way to change brightness whilst the switches screen is able to

...why would they keep the controls to look up and down on the buttons when we can already use the thumb stick? That's egregious, unless it's just an option...
Honestly, I'm just curious about the game's structure. Will it be more open and ditch the mission structure, or keep it all as is?

I've been super excited for this. Luigi's Mansion 2 is probably my third favorite 3DS game after Samus Returns and Super Mario 3D Land. For me, Luigi's Mansion 1 > Luigi's Mansion 2 > Luigi's Mansion 3.

That would be stupid for them to do, like yes I would love that, but not showing it would give people a first bad impression on the game being $60, and they’ve already advertised it as just Luigi’s mansion 2 Hd

@@tippedjoshua6802 alot of.people would want it because why not you could sale more units and you would get more people into the series and would have all three games on modern consoles instead of being in the past because alot of people don't have a game cube. Or 3ds
I'm a huge Luigi's Mansion fan and beat all 3 games 100%!!! However, I need to pass on this port bc of the price but for $30 or less I think it would be more worth it.
6:26 I don’t think it’s a bad thing they keep the old controls because people like me who still play the original have been used to those controls for ages and getting used to a whole set of controls and I wouldn’t think it’s much of a point to have them as separate controls because say if you use the joystick you wouldn’t really be using the x and b buttons anyway and if you have them as separate setting most of the buttons would be unmapped so it would be better off keeping all controls in one in case anyone chooses to use the other controls mid game. Really comes down to personal preference but that’s my opinion
From the Nintendo life video, he said that when he would try to interact with something, then Luigi would just look up
@@tippedjoshua6802looking up doesn’t actually do anything when you interact with something like even when you are looking up you can still interact with things and it doesn’t cancel anything, if the interact button was mapped to the same as the flash or if looking up made you walk slower something like that then it would be an issue
Never played but seems lots of fun I am bummed out and annoyed that they didn’t pack it with one like pikmin
I think it’s fair people don’t like it but personally I think it has a charm and has an art style that is much better than the others
I like the Luigi’s mansion series but I’m afraid IM going to have to pass on this remaster since I’m waiting for the Nintendo direct this month and I want to see what games they will announce for switch like hopefully a new DK game and a remaster of Twilight princess

If they did, that would probably be a terrible business decision. Why have two Luigi’s Mansion games releasing at around the same time? It’ll hinder the sales of both
@@RenardioMFG I mean that’s true, but it just makes too much sense to me. First off we’ve been begging for Luigi’s Mansion 1 on switch. The direct is likely within 10 days of LM2HD. Look at what they did with Pikmin 1+2. I think if they don’t shadowdrop it they will bundle in with LM2HD or have it included in LM2HD

@@RenardioMFG Because it will get more people into the series. Like Metroid Prime and Pikmin, you don't want to come out with a sequel to a series no one's played in decades. In Luigi's Mansion's case, having both the 1st and 2nd game on same system will give newer players a chance to advance more into the series. Plus I doubt one's going do much to 2's sales considering it's 6 hour game(being only 1 hour longer than Mario vs DK).

I never minded this game, it’s good. Definitely the 2nd weakest one in the Luigi’s Mansion series (counting the Luigi’s Mansion 1 remake on 3DS, it is technically canon because of Googi)
All that aside, I do love this game to pieces. It looked very good for a 3DS game back then, and over 10 years later, it still looks visually pleasing!
I love all Luigi mansion games and I’ve pre ordered support Luigi mansion people all the three games are awesome apparently Luigi mansion 4 next year 2025

Yup, you can invert the controls in the options menu! Pause at 3:30 to see the option.
