Amazon miraculously delivered mine a day early yesterday! Having a lot of fun with it. Mainly because it’s on the Switch. By the looks of things it is exactly the same game which is a little unfortunate but hey. I’m just happy we’re getting any Luigi’s Mansion content at all, it doesn’t come round often. Really hope we get the first game on Switch eventually

Gotta say, I don't understand the Pauline criticism. She's got a lot to work with personality-wise (being both a singer and a mayor) and she's one of the OG Mario characters alongside him and DK. She definitely deserves the spot more than E. Gadd, I can't say he's a more impactful character in any way (including popularity, number of appearances, and presence in the mainline games). I would really love to see E. Gadd in the game though, I think there's a spot for him in the main cast too. But for specifically this game I would be happy with any more unique characters. I think we'll get three unlockables, if not three, seven. I hope for Pauline and Toadsworth the most!

Geno, Goombella and Vivian might also be newcomers.

Koopa Kid is probably never coming back. Only Bowser Jr and the 7 Koopalings would take their roles. I love Koopa Kid as a character. He had a fun personality in Mario Party Advance. But this character just ain't gonna be used anymore. If Hammer Bro is making it in, then we should get other kind of Bros as well. Like the Fire Bro, Ice Bro, and Boomerang Bro - all have unique enough designs, so they would be fun inclusions. And then you can have a team of all 4 Bros. That'd be so cool. I'd like that. Professor Egadd is indeed a character I'd love to see playable. And also Toadsworth. Two cool, but underrated characters. I want them both. And Pauline is another very obvious choice. We already have Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina. So we really need to get a 4th "princess" character. And we can have all 4 of them in the same game. And I'm also gonna hope for some oddball characters, even if none of these happen. I want Captain Syrup from the Wario Land series to return. And I'm gonna hope for Mad Sciencetein from Wario Land 3 as well. Crazy picks, but hey, I'm still gonna say that's what I wish for.

I think Pauline has earned her spot in Mario Party, personally. She was the leading lady of one of the most important arcade games PERIOD, so her being in Odyssey or anything is just paying tribute to that legacy. Like, without the original Donkey Kong arcade game… we wouldn’t be here, there wouldn’t BE a Mario Party. And like, she has as much personality as any other Mario character (since let’s be fair, most everyone is pretty easily defined by one trait above any others they have). Like, I could take her or leave her personally, but given what she did for Mario and gaming as a whole, I think she absolutely earns a playable spot. As for Diddy Kong, he’s the Luigi to Donkey Kong’s Mario. The sidekick (and headliner in DKC2) in most every Donkey Kong Country game. He’s a very popular character and I’d personally want to see him return mostly because I like the DKC series. He’s a funny little goof, he has a neat design, can be pretty cool… I like Diddy a lot and wanna see him return. Pianta and E. Gadd are good choices, I feel like the latter is one I’d wanna see more since E. Gadd has a similar staying power in the overall Mario franchise similar to Diddy in DKC or Pauline during the Switch era. Also, absolutely would love the return of Blooper and Hammer Bro to bring back the two oddball characters from Mario Party 8.

I’d personally prefer to see the roster filled out with characters like Pauline, Diddy Kong and Dry Bones for example, aka characters that *deserve* to be there above anyone else FIRST, and then the additional extra characters like EGadd or Toadsworth or something, yknow?

I don't think it is going to happen but I'd like him back Hammer Bro: Unlike Blooper he was brought back in superstars so yeah i'd say bring him back Kamek: Abracadabra he will not be a part-a. Yeah because he is technically the host, I don't think he is gonna come back Diddy Kong: Diddy Kong is an absolute must please bring him back The Colored Toads: Maybe as skins for Toad but I can't see that happening Pom Pom: Eh I don't know I'd probably say bring her back just so I can bring back the next guy Miis: I can't really see them going oh let's add the miis because why not. I honestly think we’re just getting 3 more all being bowser enemies but I find it hard for them to not just port over all the characters from super which makes me want to lean towards 6 or 8 unlockables I’m still convinced Boom Boom and Lakitu are playable based on that island shot.
