Loving this Ambrosia reaction. David Pack's vocals are impeccable. Great background vocal harmonies and overall instrumentation. "You're The Only Woman-You & I", and "Holdin' On To Yesterday"

@Casey Ronald thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
U know you're doing great things when u connect people with either MUSIC they've never heard or haven't in many yrs. Your reaction channel brings fresh air in sooo many people's lives!! I and we all should appreciate you 💜🙋♀️
Andrea...I can certainly ditto that one! I remember tearing around with my mom in her black Cadillac Coupe De Ville as she played all these great classics on her 8-track stereo!!...lol! These songs make me miss her terribly! Love ya Mom! Also, a shout out to all the other moms out there that are missed by y'all too! Peace and love! ✌☮
They really are so good -underrated, yes!!! But people like you are putting respect on their name thank God!!! This shld not be missed!!! Nice reaction!!! They were in my era, so my appreciation was always there☺!!!
Ambrosia, not sure how they just seemed to fade into music history but they are most certainly 1 of those groups with impressive vocals and sweet harmonies. Pop rock does have its place, absolutely.
They faded away because they didn’t have enough hits in an era of bands that had albums full of them. Too bad, they had some great pop songs, but bands need to evolve and adapt.
I don't think they are underrated. It's just that there were SO MANY great groups back then, they were just one of many! Basically you could just close your eyes, throw a dart and hit a great song in the 70's and 80's! 🎯🎯 You couldn't find one now even with a magnifying glass!👀👀🧐🤓🕵🏾♀️🕵🏽♂️🔎🔍
Oh they definitely weren't underrated. I agree they were coming up when the talent pool was rich, you had to have a unique sound and they had it. Some of their best stuff wasn't played on the radio.
Oh,how untrue. It's my pleasure to introduce you to some great music. Kings of leon,George Ezra, Brandi carlyle,Virgil stimson, lumineers head and heart, the national, even 9 inch nails,Alabama shakes,Nathaniel rateliff, hozier, hozier, hozier. Still waiting for that Smokey robinson. Music was a desolate arena for a while and it was discouraging. Rejoice in your youth....again.
The ugly 80s dumped this kind of 70s music in favor of mostly ca-rap and hair bands without a clue and 'lyrics right out of the Porkys movies. The movies were worth a laugh but NOT what you want to listen to for GREAT music.
"PUT THIS ON FOR YOUR WIVES OR GIRLFRIENDS." Got that right! 🥰 Nothing but love for Ambrosia - every song is perfection - their musicianship and harmonies -WOW!
My generation was the first to have its whole life framed by the music we watched and listened to, there was so much music, none have come close to what we had, no new waves none, we listened to and watched everything, without thought of colour or creed or what have you that divides you guys so much...you have made it an art to compartmentalize everything...listen to "Little boxes" it is YOUR generation, you have put yourself into such narrowness and we stand back and ask ourselves "How did we raise such a generation, so intolerant so narrow minded, so close minded..." I feel sad that you guys have to suffer all that, but I'm glad our music speaks to you and opens up your mind!
I’ve been praying for you to play this!!! THANK YOU!!! I LOVE AMBROSIA’S sound!!! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶. THEY’RE SPECTACULAR!!! Soft Rock oh how I love it!!! Sing along all day long...

I remember very well, this one from back in the 70's. So much music was flowing back then, and continues to do so, right up to this very day. It is easy to lose track of some of it, as more great stuff keeps coming along. So, I hadn't really listened to this, since it was the big hit on the radio, or on the jukeboxes in the bars. It is so much fun to go back in time, here on your station. Starting this youtube channel was a wonderful idea, not only for yourself, but for all of your JVTV subscribers! Thanks so much. Keep enjoying.
The great master producer Quincy Jones thought this was the best pop tune of its time and one of his fave tunes of all time....some big props - blue eyed soul.

Takes me right back to junior high dances, and now that I’m older I really can appreciate their talent. Ambrosia's lyrics hit ya right in the Heart ♥️ Just sitting here day dreaming of listening to this with a Special Lady! One day I'll find her, or she'll find me ❣️
I named my son after Ambrosia. He's 29 now. David Pack who composed this while waiting for his family to get in the car to go to a celebration dinner. He went back inside his studio and this song musically and lyrically poured out within a short time. He then heard his car horn toot with his family now waiting for him. He is a amazing Musical Director, Musician, Music Producer. Alan Parsons is a a dear friend to David Pack. He mixed this album, and as we know, He also mixed Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd.
Great song and group from back in the day. For a similar song and group, check out Air Supply "Lost in Love". It was a smash hit in 1980 and they followed up with many other big hits over the next few years.
Ambrosia was one of the 70s bands who were coming into their own near the end of the late great, 1978! They would go on to bring much happiness to the desolate 80s.
Jovaughn, Thank you for picking this song to react to. It's a favorite of mine (takes me back to my college days) and your reaction was priceless! I am so glad your reaction videos came up as a suggestion first. I loooove old school lyrics, and seeing/listening to your reaction makes me smile so much LOL! I love that feeling when you hear music for the first time, and the hook just hits you like a ton of bricks.

Ambrosia was SO great! This is another group that conjures up so many memories of my high school days. Hope you WILL check out their music. Also, would love for you to listen to James Taylor's "It Used to Be Your Town." It's a really mellow, laid back song, but has a special quality. It's a duet with a guy named J D Souther. WONDERFUL reaction for this one!
We really love your reactions and your enthusiasm for older music! If you ever want to go "way back", try 1951's "How High The Moon" by Les Paul and Mary Ford - czcams.com/video/NkGf1GHAxhE/video.html. Les Paul invented the electric guitar and it was the first big hit record to feature the electric guitar (8 weeks at #1 on Billboard)! His wife Mary Ford does the vocals and Les Paul was a master at the early technique of overdubbing vocals. She sings with herself in harmony during the record and it gets pretty amazing!
David Pack is the lead singer and one of the best voices in music history. He did a song solo called “I Just Can’t Let Go” with James Ingram and Michael McDonald. It is amazing.
WERE! 70s slow groove, can't beat it . And not to leave out the great lyrics which the 70 probably set a record for most poetry in music, ever. When the 70s went away, so did that poetic touch that made the 70s the greatest decade for music!
This is such an outstanding song!! You just want to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. Such a great band. This is my fav song of theirs along with "You're the Only Woman and "Holding on to Yesterday" Your reaction is great!! Couple of other great Soft Rock bands: Little River Band "Reminiscing" , Climax Blues Band "I Love You" and "Couldn't Get It Right" Atlanta Rhythm Section "So Into You". Just a few of their greats.
