I miss the 70s !! So much pure talent!!!
Another throw back from the 70's. Love it 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
This was my song! Saturday at the skating rink, if a boy asked you to slow skate, you were in love!
“You make me feel like dancing” in original recording, not live.
That original video is hilarious the way he dances, right?
@@Queen_of_Hearts-Sharnell Kind of spazzy but we love Leo anyway!
TBH I was never really into Leos Falsetto voice. It was always too piercing and straining to me, just like Frankie Valli.
BUT... Leos "FULL voice" in his regular register which he sings here, was always very very impressive and so much more expressive.
@@Mahlercougar I can respect that. I never knew what he really looked like that until I already thought he was a dreamy romantic icon when I was a preteen.
I do have this thing about a falsetto that I never realized until I started watching Jay’s reactions to it. I would figure it kinda messes with guys going through voice change, probably my brothers hated it. But I love it for some reason!!
60's,70's,80's love songs are the best!!
This was my summer of change and craziness. I lived through it. Loved this song.
Takes me right back to the 70’s ❤ the best time for music!
Leo's voice is beautiful.
At that time in Germany no Jukebox exists without songs of Leo Sayer. 😥
Such good memories from the 70’s, such great artists.
The 70s were a great time for music! Keep them coming!!!!! Your smile is contagious!
I enjoyed the 70s music so much. Soft Rock, disco, soul R&B. The music today sucks!
You might also like his songs "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing," "Long Tall Glasses (I Can Dance)" and "More Than I Can Say."
Marcus Oh-really-yes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Orchard Rd is beautiful too.And my favourite,Darlin..
Leo Sayer - "More than I can say"
So catchy, upbeat and tender👍
Id forgotten that number!
Yes! 'More Than I Can Say' and/or 'You Make me Feel Like Dancing!
He was lights out on , "How Much Love!!!
This song, is so sweet. Well worth anyone's time. Was going to school, when this came out.
Same here was just entering my teens around then. Between the 60's 70's and 80's we truly were a blessed generation with the incredible solo artists and groups.
Me to
This came out in 1976 MISS The Sweeeeeeet 7DEEZ
The soulless 80s couldn't NEVER pull this off. HUGE difference between the SUPER SEVENTIES AND THE vacant 80s.
This is what made life so much fun during the 70's and 80's was the music 🎶🎼 and the good times with family and friends. No swearing, violence and degrading women. Real songs sung by artist with real vocal talent.
"He had to get her after this song"
He would have gotten me.
I remember dancing to this song in junior high school.
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ love this song ❤️
Another great song and performance from a great English singer
Listen to you make me feel like dancing. You will move to that lol
Another great song!
Yes this is his best.
No auto tune necessary, voices back then were pure god given talent!
For some amazing vocals check out Harry Nilsson 'Without You"
Yes! So many good songs by Nilsson. My favorite is "I'll Never Leave You" but wait, "Me and My Arrow" oh and "Everybody's Talkin'" oh yeah and...
Yes, definitely agree with you!!!
Too many young people think “Without You” is Mariah Cary’s song. The original is so much better!
Absolutely! "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing"
Been listening to Leo Sayer for a longtime, I play his music everywhere I go, a truly gifted person. Consider playing Orchid Road, Have You Ever Been In Love, Once In A While, his music is pure joy to the heart & mind! A super nice guy, God bless from Australia.
His falsetto voice is phenomenal on "You make me feel like dancing" .
He can join the Bee Gees without Problem.
Yah Baby ❤️ Saw him in concert when I was 19. I was soooo in love with him.🤣😎
Great song writer singer and one of the nicest stars I have ever meet.a rely sweet guy.
Leo had a fantastic voice! More Than I Can Say was another great one of his.
I remembered that i had heard this song before , AS soon AS IT started.Beautiful song.Thumb up for the music from the 70s and 80s , and back in the 60s AS well .Very great music during the 60s too.
He puts on a great live show 😁🎵. He has alot of top 10 hits ,,,, thru.the years
I love Leo! A great Aussie singer. Fascinating side note, he was going to stay at Graceland with Elvis but the day he was going to go, Elvis died. The show must go on is another great one by him (but like the others said, you make me feel like dancing is great!)
Beautiful song... again. great music is timeless.
Leo was amazing and delivered some real good stuff back in the day .. This was definitely one of his best.
I was six when this song came out and I grew up, listening to disco because my mother was a disco queen if you will. I was born in New Jersey but moved to Miami in my younger years and grew up in Miami but I remember when we lived in New Jersey my mom getting ready to go out because she used to go to studio 54 blue-eyed Italian with a blonde Afro and I remember thinking about how awesome my mom was I was so amazed by her! Anyway, I’m 53 years old now until this day disco is everything for me. If somebody said to me for the rest of your life, you can only listen to one genre of music. I would pick disco, even though I love hip-hop, R&B, Rock I love heavy-metal I listen to everything except Country but if I could only have one genre for the rest of my life, it would be disco. And let me mention that this is one of the most beautiful love songs, ever written a song is musically and lyrical genius
I heard this driving through the desert on the way to my first deployment it felt so real coming from my radio it's hard to explain it felt magical I'll never forget that.
Omg! I adore Leo! I love his music
One of my all time favorites, such an amazing singer
I had the privilege of seeing Leo Sayer live at The Troubadour in Hollywood, California right as he was breaking out. In that standing-room-only crowd (where I was one of those who were standing) was George Harrison of The Beatles (who was standing to my right about 3 feet away). After the show, a very drunk Joe Cocker helped us find our car when we discovered that the car park attendant had gone home. An unforgettable night all the way around. And Leo Sayer was fantastic. One of the top 5 live performances I've ever seen. And I've seen a ton of them. This video, by the way, is not live. He's lip-syncing to the single that was a huge hit.
The era of white guys with afros.
I got one at 11yo in this time frame. Very odd for an 11yo white kid.
Good times!
HA! Both my brothers had one too back then and I have the pictures to prove it! lol ;o)
My cousin's blond hair was so bushy that it stuck straight out on it's own... He's sporting it in his Senior pic!
LOL
You shoulda been the teenager and your 48yo mom sports one. 😳😩😅
He also plays the piano, just a wonderful guy xx
Saw him in concert back in the day..fabulous voice..
YES ! One of the best songs ever !!!
Awwww this brought a tear to my eye , I remember this song , when i was a little girl , i heard it on the radio everyday , yeah I’m that old🥴🤪
So glad that the younger generation like yourself is enjoying our music, I was 12 when this came out, had my first boyfriend and at the time felt so grown up, it was our first taste of love and for years after... this and other songs from that yr bring back so many sweet memories.
Felt all the way deep in the soul! Drummer was killn it!!!
Thunder in My Heart and How Much Love.....high energy songs!..my fave
Used to smootch dance at the school disco to this one. Happy memories! Thanks Honey!
Me too, Ah the memories! 😍
His voice is beautiful! One of the best vocalist ever!!! 💖
One of the best vocalist ever! 💝
Beautiful song of love and loyalty.
This song always reminds me of my mum as she loved it, and passed away not long after this song was a hit
Love watching your joyful reactions!
For a real tear-jerker, try Gilbert O'Sullivan. Alone Again, Naturally.
That's one of my favorite songs ❤
Also, Gilbert O'Sullivan - "Claire."
Oh, man! You’re gonna break sweet J’s heart! 😊
I say yes & OMG no! Do we have to do that to Jay? Is he ready for the heartbreak of Gilbert & *that* song? Oh well, I haven’t listened to it since my mum died 2 years ago. If he does review it I’ll just have to cry along with him ✌️
Too dark!
I'd forgotten about Leo Sayers I remember now it gives me a happy times feeling
couple skated to this many times at the skating rink on Saturday nights , loved growing up in the 70's
He was so cute--you just wanted to put him in your pocket. Back in the day the artist would be live but they would have their record playing. This was perfectly fine with the audience especially if the studio did not provide a band for them to sing to.
That's why I'm a stickler for the studio version... hmmm... it was pushed back in the day, people wanted to hear it like they first heard it even if it done as it was in this kind of setting. Now I want to hear it like it was originally done, not with notes or words changed as they grow in their popularity and number of performances as they have done since.
@@hudsonsteele1674 Yes! Exactly...they start growing in popularity and the next thing you know...it sounds nothing like the original. That's a big disappointment to me.
Richard Simmons Jr. LOL.
@@southernenigma3427 I just watched three seconds of a reaction to a live version of Led Zeppelin's Black Dog. Evidently he couldn't hit the high notes any more, went down instead of up the scale. Click! That made me think that losing range plays a part in them changing notes as they get older. I can't hit the high notes any more, either. (Have a hard time hitting the low ones) ;-)
@@MrRondonmon yes he did. Lol twins
Loved it when it came out...didnt hit home til I lost my fiancé to covid in November. He was an over the road trucker, and died alone in NY.
We were apart often...never thought we would never get to say goodbye
One of my all time favorite songs!!
One of my old favorites. 💕🎵🎵
So much passion...long distance relationships are tough. Memories...
Faithfully by Journey
when this song first came out, probably before your dad was born, i used to play the last 45 seconds of this song , over and over. 60's, 70's and 80's, nothing like it. especially the 70's.
Always loved this song. 💙
Love this song!! Another one that's good is by a group called the Eagles- the best of my love.
I Can't Tell You Why, is even better.
Seven Bridges Road! (insert holding up lighter emoji here)
Those are my favorite two I can’t tell you why and best of my love 😍
Try and love again hotel California album
This is why we ALL fell in Love in the 70's ! 🌷🌻🌷
You have to see Leo perform The Show Must Go On. He is an artist.
The Show must go on.... yes.. he wrote it... and the live version with him dressed as a jester in white face... is perfect... PLUS... Long Tall Glasses......... Those 2 are his best...
Leo had his share of great songs way back in the day.
Have you heard The Dancer by Leo Sayer? His voice is so beautiful, so pure - it's amazing!
Always liked this song. 💜
Jayvee, this came out in 1977 - the year I retired from the USAF after 20 years of service. I loved this sone then - and I LOVE it now,. I knew you'd like it too. Thanks,
What memories. I danced many slow dances to this with my sweetheart😚
That's a good ole' fashioned 70's buckle polisher
HA! Don't know if I ever heard that one! (Used to polish my Dad's brass... National Guard. I needed music)
So glad to see someone as young as you, enjoy the 70’s and 80’s music!
You are experiencing what we felt growing up listening to these tried, tested and proven timeless classics from the 70's and 80's.
Beautiful song by Leo...Haven't heard this gem in decades...Gotta like his "fro"....I think his first hit was Long Tall Glasses, which is upbeat and fun. I also remember his song You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, which was very good also.....1970's, baby!!....side note....song was written by the legendary Carol King
Leo Sayer "I Love You More Than I Can Say"
Very simple beautiful vocals.
And you know man...I can feel you feeling it. And that was a superb reaction.
I never really got i to Leo, if he was on tv Top of the Pops show in the UK I'd read a book until he was finished! Still feel the same!
I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Hood when this song come out. And of course, it made me think of a girl back home in Ohio. I always loved this song. Thanks for the memories. God bless.
This is the sweetest song ever 😍😍😍
Love some Leo Sayer. Gotta react to his highly underrated song Orchard Road. It's haunting yet so beautiful!
Jay never disappoints us and plays swesome songs.
Fool around and fell in love, is a nice 1970s song that you would enjoy. Enjoy and be safe🤠
That sax does it every time!!!😘😘😘😘
YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DANCING is the song you wanna check out ..do yourself a favor and DO check it OUT !!
I love watching you love the music! I don't just listen to music, I feel and breath it!
My favourite of his! Good choice.
How can you give this song a thumbs down???? Pure 70s gold...what a voice
I love that song!!!!👍
This was a popular Ballad in the 1970's. Celine Dion also performed it during her Las Vegas Residency. It went to Number One in the US & UK. It was written by Albert Hammond and Carole Bayer Sager who was a Judge on American Idol and was mistaken for Joan Collins because of her Hair. She later would marry and Divorce Burt Bacharach (she was his Third Wife), and together they wrote "Arthur's Theme" for Christopher Cross and "That's What Friends Are For" for Dionne & Friends which was the first Benefit Song to help folks with AIDS.
Try:
Celine Dion & Bee Gees: Immortality
Josh Groban: "What I Did for LOve"
BJ Thomas - "Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song"
Ronnie Milsap: "It Was Almost Like a Song"
Charlie Rich: "Did You Happen to See the Most Beautiful Girl in the World"
Was never a big fan of Leo Sayer. But this song and You make me feel like dancing were good.
Beautiful song...❤❤❤❤
I love to see you excited in hearing great music for the first time.
Leo had some great hits!! Keep ‘me coming please!! 😁👍
You make me feel like dancing by Leo is cool!!!!
Ahh, the memories. Friday or Saturday night at the roller-rink slow skate. Or the sweaty palms half stalk causing slow dance in JR High.
This song was a staple!
I also love Leo Sayer's "Orchard Road". It's great.
I love your open mind. I watch you enjoying all of the songs I grew up with.
He is still going! Gutted I missed him last year live, so booked 2020 Lets Rock Essex and thanks to covid cancelled. 😢
