    Run faster with proper sprinting posture and technique. In order to maximize speed you have to be able to apply maximum force to the ground. This video addresses some of the biggest mistakes made by sprinters and coaches (i.e. staying low and breaking at the waist). Coach Karim talks about how to develop proper posture (the hard post) and demonstrates one of the first sprinting drills to achieve this. Olympian Jeremy Dodson shares his insight into developing proper posture and the hard post to maximize speed.

    Despite doing many sprint drills and S&C, it seems hard to get rid of my bad habit/posture which is broken at the hip or what you call "bubble but". Is it because my core is weak? How do you think thr best way i can fix this, please? Great videos, big fan. Thank you!

    • @OutperformOfficial
      @OutperformOfficial  Před 3 lety +6

      Strength training will help. Core work and glute work. A lot of sprinters are "quad dominate" meaning the legs are disproportionally stronger than the glutes. Another idea is to do glute activation exercises prior to your sprinting workouts.

      As for other cheaper resources there are definitely a lot out there (just search IG, Google etc). Ultimately, the price of our courses mirrors the lifetime of coaching knowledge our instructors have accumulated and shared, recognizing that while this represents immense value, it may not be the right fit for everyone.

      Sean, the good news is that you have already taken the first step to getting faster by studying the sport. Speed and sprinting technique is something that can be learned and dramatically improved upon so stay the course. If you keep working hard and developing your technique you will get faster! Good luck!

      @@LoveChronicles80 What I meant is. When you practice running. It should not only be jogging. It should also include your sprinting exercise. Start from a point and run like you would in a 100 m race. You have to constantly do 100m sprints to get better at it. It takes time. Also practice running in one place in a high speed. Make sure you do these along with your regular exercises. You have to really go untill it pains because I bet you've heard no pain no gain. I got a big race this Friday. What are the proper arm mechanics for sprinters?....I always assumed it was 90 by 90?

    • @OutperformOfficial
      @OutperformOfficial  Před rokem

      There are different opinions on arm action. Some coaches like to teach an extension in the back while others like to keep them as close to 90 as possible. If you have the strength keeping them close to 90 will most likely be fastest. You can always experiment and see what works best for you.
