This is actually the calmest I’ve ever seen Alex Jones!
He has the Info Wars channel for when he’s done a line of coke.
Fantastic job, your style of education may not be all flashy and "look at me" but it is reliable, trustable, and easy to understand.
It's like a college lecture, but from a class you like.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Brody Brayden Instablaster ;)
@Joseph Kellen Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Joseph Kellen It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
You have sold me on Glock! I am the proud owner of the G21,in .45acp and I am loving it so far. Thank you for your service and work on educating us.
Now get yourself some 26 round magazines and you'll really be ready to rock!
I bought a Gen 4 21 about 4 years ago and it shoots as good as my 1500 1911
Great documentary! I just got my hands on the G17 MOS FS Gen 5 as my first Handgun and since its not that easy to get a gun license here in Austria, I am even more happy now.
Thank you guys for creating Glock and Steyr.
What's required to get a license?
I didn’t know a person in Austria could own a Glock 17. Greetings from the US and thanks for your countries contributions to the firearms world.
This is my favorite channel on CZcams when it comes to firearms education and review. I love history and firearms.🤷🏾♂️
How you retain such a wealth of knowledge and understanding really is a testament to your time invested. Great freaking content/channel. 👌🏾👌🏾
This is by far the best firearms educational program on CZcams. Thank you so much for putting this content out for those of us seeking knowledge about firearms.
Thank you sir for this most informative video on one of my favorite pistols! It was well done and I found it very educational. You’re definitely one of the top minds in the firearms industry!!
Very interesting. Thanks! I have the Glock 19 gen 3. Great pistol!
OUTSTANDING!. Great information and very comprehensive. Thanks.
Great job Chris. A real informative video.👍
I love my Glock 21. It is the smoothest shooting 45 out there.
One of the most informative videos about the Glock. A friend at work has the G17 and he is trying to get me to buy one and as soon as I can afford it I think I might.
Excellent video, I always learn a lot from your channel. Thank you.
Great video. Love that your from the ROC. And the troopers switched from the 37 to the 21 now up here.
"I got rid of all evidence I lived in New York when I moved". That was funny
I carried a Glock 17 or a Glock 21 for 31 years of my 40 years in law enforcement. The first 9 years I carried a blue 4" Colt Python. The changer was voluntary. I wanted a semi-auto pistol just like my Python. Draw, point, pull the bang switch and BAM. I subscribe to the KISS philosophy. Glock had the answer......
pig
Did you beat your wife like most other cops do or nah?
Funny, Glock17 was my fist, and now I carry a 4" 2020 Python, same reason
Great video Sir! I am a Glock fan and own several! Glad to be a new sub! Bravo!
Finally i know what the other two safety mechanisms are) Thank you.
Hands down the most educational firearms channel in existence. I watch episode after episode. Keep up the outstanding work sir.
False. While small arms solutions is a very educational channel, gunblue490 is fast and away the most educational gun channel.
Awesome video
Great video. I love my 92fs. I plan to hand it down in my family when I can no longer shoot.
Awesome video , just found ur channel next video im watching is part 1 bolt carriers
Thank you, very nice over view.
Awesome job!👍👍
THANK YOU! I ordered an extended stop for a gen 3 and got a gen 1/2 stop. Would not fit till I ground the little fin tab off.... now I know why!
Your knowledge on firearms and their history is second to none.
Personally he’s tied with Ian from Forgotten Weapons, except focused on non-forgot weapons
Superb! Many thanks! 🙏🙏🙏
I can take these apart right down to the striker channel liner. Easy-peasy. Most other pistols brands are quite difficult!
I can’t get enough of your videos.. binging like crazy.. If I may make a special request. What is your thoughts on the Sig Sauer DAK? I have this gun, and over time, this trigger system has grown on me, and has become my favorite! From much practice and reps, I’ve learned to manipulate the trigger to hit that reset just perfectly, and it is every bit as fas as a DA/SA... any day of the week. And the reason I love this trigger is because it keeps me “on the trigger”, constantly and always working the trigger and having constant and unlimited trigger feedback.. I know Sig discontinued the DAK, and it greatly disappointed me, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on this trigger system. I believe the Secret Service issued the DAK for a small period of time, as did the U.S. Coast Guard (I think). Anyway, perhaps you already have talked about the DAK, but if not, would really like to hear your thoughts on it.
Great video,.....I have the model 22 and love it.
Another outstanding presentation. The passion of a confident and capable professional.
Glock ARE Tier 1 (military grade) pistols that are designed to be fully maintained by the soldier in the field.
The big Glock 10mm is carried by Danish SF as personal defence gun for polars bears (they are the big 12 ft tall bastards).
I first researched the Glock pistol in 1980. Gaston Glock was an engineer - not a gunsmith, so parts had to be interlocking and NOT retained by roll pins or screws and NO minute springs. Sub-assemblies like the captive recoil guide rod and the trigger bar assembly each count as one part.
I have owned (G 17, G 19, G 22, G 23, G 26, G 27, G 35), I had to convert the .40 cal models to 9x19mm with 5" / 127mm barrels when the gun laws changed in Australia. No problems, drop-in A-M barrels and kept shooting legally. I fired 130+K rounds in 12 years through my G 19, G 23, G 26, G 27 & G 35; my only problem was with reloaded ammo, NO pistol failures!
I fitted the Extended Slide Release and Extended Magazine Release and polished the internal contact surfaces (called the 25 cent trigger job) for a smooth trigger pull.
Full detailed Strip @ 33:00 to 52:00. That is how long it takes to learn and teach any soldier! For a while I was the XO of my SF commando Coy (I was a specialist), one of my duties was inspecting the toys in our armoury. The Browning HP Mk 3 & H&K USP are intended to keep unit armourers in full lifetime employment. Every time the lads took their pistols swimming in the ocean they would clean them afterwards and secure them in the armoury. After a few days all screw, internal parts were rusted by residual salt water requiring $150 in parts change out per pistol, do this for 80 - 100 pistol 7 to 9 times a year and the unit repair cost mount up. I took my G23, G 26 and G 35 to show the unit armourer. First he said. "I am not qualified to work on them." So I showed with my G 26, as detailed in this video and then had him do my G 35. "So easy and most of the parts are common. This is what our unit needs: but don't show anyone as this will put me out of a full time job." Soldier or SEALs with a can of air can do a full armour clean of a Glock after a salt water immersion, NO other handgun can match this ease of maintenance,
All the support staff of my SF carried the HP Mk 3. I took my G 26 to a range shoot, a 5 round mag for familiarization and then a 5 rd mag at the CQB 8" target at 15 m. All the support staff shot a lot tighter groups in less time with the G 26 than their larger issued pistols.
Those lesser pistols with internal chassis are forced this way by Glock's innovative patents.
Kind regards to all our crew from Greg in Thailand (no guns for white guys here)
I'll put it succinctly. This guy knows his stuff.
Excellent; thanks!
Excellent modern history lesson. I love long in-depth video's like this! One small suggestion? Use a lighter cover for your table. It will make the weapons easier to see. Again, this was great. And I don't even own a Glock. Best wishes.
I have a hypothesis as to why so many people balked over the Glock not having a manual safety. As standard, it has a 5.5 lb trigger pull while a DA/SA (for the first shot while decocked) or DAO pistol and a double action revolver has a long travel, 10-12 lb pull on average. This means that if something unintentionally gets into the trigger guard of the Glock, there is much less room for error. Additionally, hammer-fired guns offer the user the ability to use their thumb to block the gun from firing while holstering which increases the safety factor. Having to pull the Glock's trigger for disassembly also probably put their nerves on edge.
Now I'm not saying the Glock is a bad gun. The Glock 19 is the gun I recommend to most people because it hits that sweet spot of ease of use, effective cartridge, and is small enough to be pretty easily concealed while being big enough to fight with. But the Glock design tends to be very unforgiving of mental lapses when handling them and I can see why people can get a bit sketched out by them.
You can get a custom part that makes the rear plate act as a "hammer", so you can use it with the thumb technique to make sure the gun doesn't fire when re-holstering. There is also a custom heavier trigger made for the New York Police. I thought about getting both, if I ever wanted to switch over to the Glock, at least till I got comfortable with the striker fired gun.
If we are talking about a production model, then yes, HK VP70 is the first polymer frame pistol made about 1970. However, if we are talking about the first ever made working polymer pistol, then it`s the Russian TKB-023. That was basically a Makarov with a polymer frame made already in 1963. Now, it never flew so HK it is. Nitpicking maybe but there it is.
Regarding the 45 GAP. My humble guess for it´s lack of success is the "reborn" 9mm and then other gun manufacturers lack of interest in it which is a mixture of pride and envy. At least S&W wouldn´t produce a gun in that caliber now when Glock beat them in the 40S&W case. No matter what, it´s a great round.
Great educational video!!!! You are one of my absolute favorite gun channels here.
Good video.
I love this video. I am new to the Glock game and stayed away because "I didn't want to be a Glock fanboy." Well I'm one now after purchasing my first Glock not to long ago. Is the Glock best at anyone thing? No. But it's so good at a lot that I just feel confident in it after getting some rounds through it and training. I'm going to be getting a Glock 42 soon.
Also if actually like to see Glock make an updated light.
The primary, perhaps only, flaw to the Glock frame, is the small physical size of the trigger guard. Just a little larger and it would be (more) perfect.
I agree. I wish Glock would do something about that. Shooting a Glock with gloves on is awkward to say the least.
Excellent knowledge and presentation. Thanks so much!!! I agree with everything you said about Glock except the g42. Have had nothing but trouble out of mine and it has been deemed unreliable and stored away.
You definitely know about the glock love it
Hello and thank you for great content and videos! I'd really appreciate if you could share your opinion or experience with us regarding the durability of Glock polymer parts and frames when we are talking about general everyday use like dropping them on concrete floors or just scratching them by hard objects with everyday use. Do you feel that metal frame pistols would handle better this kind of abuse? Also, what is your opinion about Glocks as heirloom handguns which can be passed to next generations. We've seen functional 100 year old metal handguns. But do you believe that Glocks would still function after 50 or 100 plus years after being exposed to direct sun light, moisture and ozone? Thanks a lot!
Awesome vids. Love your work. Can you do me small favor a up your audio? Maybe i'm deaf, but you seem in a tunnel. Thanks. Keep up with the great work.
*Glock Maritime cups--are readily available without restriction on the commercial market.*
The Glock 18 is awesome
What do you think of the springfield XD line of pistols?
Glock the Honda civic of handguns.👍
If I could, i would give this 2 THUMBS UP!
Read the book “Glock “ quite interesting
Great book!
I never liked how the Glock looked, or felt in my large hands, but I always can attest to its' quality
Polygon barrels aren't good for non-jacketed lead bullets(catastrophic failure). Even hard cast lead bullets. 3:54
Use fmjs under water, no hollowpoints. Hollowpoints will cause a catastrophic failure underwater.
32:58 recoil spring durability and gen4 recoil spring reduces recoil.
Great video. I am surprised that you didn’t elude to the HK USP when discussing the Gen 4 dual recoil spring, designed to reduce recoil and wear on the firearm. Surprised given your purported respect for the USP which is demonstrated in your similar video about that line of firearms. It utilized that mechanism since it’s introduction in the early 90s.
The USP full size recoil reduction mechanism is very different from the Glock Gen 4
Austrians replacing the Walther P38, not the Browning HP.
GREAT PRESENTATION !! I'm a retired LEO and 03/17 USMC.
I was there in the late 80's when we transferred from revolvers to G22 I still carry a G23 with a G27 backup. Everyone else carries a 1911 clone, but they can't out shoot me with the 40 S&W. GLOCKS are the best handguns ever made.
This is the equivalent of Hickock45 doing reviews but on newer firearms
Florida highway patrol went with the 45 GAP as well
Switched to G17 recently because 45GAP was so stupid to start off with
I’ve said it before… I can’t believe .357 Sig never took off big. I thought for sure the performance out of a semi auto pistol would have appealed to all who wanted more than 9mm. I think the reason LE wasn’t happy about not having a manual safety when these came around maybe was because they had come to expect that with things like a 1911 or Beretta. The fact that a Glock has no hammer to visually indicate a cocked stated vs uncocked also maybe didn’t help ease any concerns.
I try other brand guns, but I like simple and reliable because when stuff goes out I need to fix it fast and easy. With just a punch a person can completely take it down. My G29 SF broke the locking block. I ran over to a Glock store in my area that sold parts and for around $15 and 1 min I installed the block with new pins and I was off and running. For Good measure I replaced the recoil spring. The 29 is still my favorite Glock next to my always trusty and go to G26 Gen 4. I just keep going back to Glocks. I always looks at available repair parts for guns I buy because I want to fix them myself to get them running fast. I hate sending them in. I have found aside from sights and mags most guns you have to get parts from the manufacturer or just send them in. I don't care much for warranties. I don't mind $10 hear or there of I need it. But Glock has a great warranty as well I just choose to do my own work. For the Glock haters the G29 is the only issue I have ever had with Glocks and the gun was working with the broken block flawlessly. I only found it when I was doing one of my standard inspections after so many rounds where I do a full tear down. Great video.
Jeff Genchi I keep enough spare parts on hand to completely rebuild two Glock 17s or 22s.
Although a very good weapon, this issue is not that there is no safety, but rather a unusually light trigger without a safety. There have been many recorded negligent discharges due to this. You compare this to a revolver with no safety but the safety was a 10-12 ld trigger pull as compared to a 5.5 lb with the Glock.
Nothing wrong with the pistol. This is a training issue.
I test fired a NY state police Glock 21 at a range and it had a 12lb trigger, so stupid that NYC and troopers had to have heavy triggers, I was pulling shots to the right and I’m an expert shot. I’m from Rochester NY also.
The model 17 coincidentally has 17 round capacity. It was Gaston Glock’s 17th patent
Can you please do a presentation on the Glock 17 gen5 ???
I did
You need to read the book “Glock”
I've been trying to find out but haven't had luck. Was the Glock the first semi automatic handgun without a manual safety?
I’m also curious about this.
Love your videos, you should look into higher quality mics, I can barely hear the gold you're spewing in your videos lol. Keep it up sir.
Firing your Glock underwater will also cavitate small pits out of your chamber & barrel, and you WILL destroy your ear drums. The only way to shoot a Glock under water with your head underwater is to have a very special suppressor on the pistol. Glock 17s are used to take lionfish by SCUBA divers.
What parts would you suggest for spare parts for Glock pistols?
glockguru9 trigger return spring
@SmallArmsSolutions is the relationship between the .45 ACP and .45 GAP equivalent to that of .30-06 Springfield and 7.62x51mm?
thezieg no. The 45 GAP is modernized giving same performance in a smaller frame.
@@SmallArmsSolutions That's what I was getting at. .308 / 7.62x51mm gives similar performance as the .30-06 but in a shorter action and reduced case. Thanks!
thezieg modern propellants are more efficient giving much better performance.
@@SmallArmsSolutions Ah, gotcha.
.45 GAP haven't heard that in a while.
why you left out the model 26 and model 41?
Love my G41: Ameriglo sights, custom stippling and reshaping from Fine Line Tac, Glock light/laser.
Rescued it brand new from a pawnshop for a re-homing fee of 450$.
why would any one have a 9 pound trigger? I can´t understand it
I don't think it's accurate to say that the H&K VP-70 was "extremely" unsuccessful. It was manufactured for 19 years.
HK will smoke any glock any day of the week.
When do we get a history and development of the Jericho 941?
Those firing cups are a bitch the first time. And they are 100% concrete soluble so you better make sure you're in an area where you can find them if they go shooting across the room.
"Trigger felt like a staple gun" hahaha
I'm just getting around to watching this. You can't say everything with Covid 19 is bad.... I wondered why my GFE Glock 19 magazines didn't just drop out. My prior experience was the M16A2. When I hit the magazine release, it just fell out. I had to pull them out. We had boxes and boxes of extra magazines. They belong in a dumpster. I realize that is my opinion, because somebody at Glock thinks it is a good idea. Now the blank space is filled in on "why are these like this?"
Glock 19x 43x best ever made all Glocks run run run and run others fail
76000 is outstanding
Gaston Glock was a toolmaker
Have you seen the Florida man that made the under water shooting glock to hunt lion fish
Whatever happened to first generation glocks? Every video that covers the progression starts with gen. 2 models as an example of an early pistol. Was the first generation just an extremely short lived iteration?
RIP Mr. Glock 🫡
If your wife would like the 380 she should try the Glock 43X 9mm
One question, I have always respected your knowledge but R.I.P. amnunition?
Google it. It'll come up.
TheOtherMike I know what it is. That’s why I question his using it.
I absolutely respect Glock, especially they're reliability.
But the "glock kaboom" is an issue. A literal saying in the firearm community is saying something. I know you've had excellent experiences, but as a range officer, I've seen multiple gen 2 through 4 explode... None of which had reloads, all firing standard ball.
That, and the fact that rain renders them useless, even with "maritime cups". Plus, no second strike capability. Too many CZcams videos about that.... some of which are quite comical.
Great video
arent the polygon barrels less accurate or is that a myth? i love the 45 gap it's too bad it didnt take off
which is the best Glock: USA or Austria made?
Not a difference. All the same. All the raw materials the US guns are made come from Austria. Same machines, programs and processes
@@SmallArmsSolutions Thank you Sir.
Hardcast bullets are fine in a Glock and if you didn’t know a Hardcast bullet is not a pure lead bullet.
No they are not. They still leave lead deposits.
Alg
Thanks for blue balling me smh.. I was expecting to see a G18 :(
Glock was not the first polymer gun that goes to the HK v70
lars kuno andersen first successful one, VP70 was a complete flop.
Read book “Glock”
45gap was a great idea. Clearly better than 45acp. But bubbas go by feelings not facts.
The best calibers are 357sig, 10mm, 45gap & 40sw. 9mm is ok but it’s way overhyped & has been done to death.
I’d be extremely interested in knowing what you think Glock MIGHT do if anything to keep up with all the gun technology that’s going on today like the P320/P365. Do you think their same ole recipe that’s worked for years will continue to work? Where does Glock go from here to keep the guns “relevant”?
I think the thing that loyal Glock customers like is that they don’t change with every new thing. For the Glock to change, the market truly has to accept something as standard to the point where even Glock can’t ignore it. I like that they remain simple and straightforward. What you see is what you get and it works. As a consumer I think it’s great because if you want features that the Glock doesn’t have, you can shop elsewhere and I feel like right now is an awesome time to be a firearms enjoyer. There’s so much choice.
That plastic sleeve in the slide may be my most disliked design detail.
I'd like a Glock chambered in 7.62x25t.
glocks are serviceable but I prefer hipowers
Glock is the Toyota Corolla of guns. Not pretty.... but works and lasts forever
More like the Bimmer, nothing about a Camry instills performance. Drive a Camry hard and run it to the ground and it will fall apart. The Sig would be the Porsche
Hell, I like my Corolla sport! Along with my Glock 19
The maritime cups this is America you need no letter just got to know. The cups are more for if there is water in the channel and there is less resistance shooting underwater nobody does that and look didn't make the cups for under water shooting
