Very Different Pre game show that did change Sports TV in America no doubt. Don't agree by saying this was the best ever Pre Game show. Groundbreaking no doubt.
With that said, go look at the CBS NFL Today oringal studio crew led by Brent Musberger between 1975-1988ish. Without Brent, Phyllis George, Ira Cross and the first ever regular "sports gambling analyst" Jimmy the Greek Synder, there is no Fox NFL Sunday. It's amazing how Fox came in and became so successful right away. They got the number one crew from CBS, nailed their number two crew, and found a lot of successful talent in their lower crews, some of which are still around calling NFL games. Maybe more impressive is nailing the studio crew. When CBS came back to the NFL, it took them a while to get their studio crew the way they wanted it. In fact, they completely scrapped all of their analysts after the inaugural 1998 campaign.
