These 18 minutes are a billion times more valuable that the entire singing career of many who claim to be singers in today's era... Idiots that are produced by Autotune! RD Burman will live on till the universe exists. There cannot be anyone like him ever. Deeply missed every single day. I listen to his songs every day. They make my day. Each listening reveals something new about his songs. His sense of melody and rhythm; coupled with un-inhibited approach towards each composition has made him yield gems after gems... he is probably the only one music director who has covered every single genre of music under the sun... Jazz, folk, classical, contemporary... and may have used every single instrument that existed in his days!!! Love you R.D. Burman Sir. Thank you for having graced this planet!

Laxmikant Pyarelal did and approached RD for the movie ‘Desh Premee’ for Gore nahin … RD declined and Laxmikant ended up singing the song.

Pancham Da was very hardworking and hardtaskmaster, involved, immersed in creating sound and different music, 24/7, failing to understand when he was ever free to look after himself, he was always in musical mode and laboured hard in making songs after songs from fine turning, creating and recording that too alone, off course assistants were there but Pancham Da believed in himself only as indicated by music/ tune composition where sittings he led from front as always, with knowledge and wisdom..
Exhaustive task indeed undertaken by Pancham Da, very tough but songs are very melodious, soft, and innovative.
What a different kind of superhuman was he, always busy in business of creating music of all sorts....
Hats off to Pancham Da..
Remembering the LoRD on this day on 04.01.1994 when he attained Immortality. He is a Musical Saint we all continue to adore, love and respect for all the coming times.

Although he had a unique voice but he was a singer and he sang not only hindi songs but bengali songs as well. He was a great music director and he composed music for 331 films. he composed all types of songs like sad songs, romantic songs, sentimental songs, quallies, lories, cabre songs etc., he has the nature of experimenting with new things and create music. he was a genius music director. He created very lovely songs and some of the songs are really immortal. A big salute to him for this day.
