#FinalFantasy16 #FinalFantasyXVI #ff16 - Hry
Lol your late game build is almost exactly what I’ve been using except I’ve been swapping will of wykes (bosses) and ignition (ads) in impulse. I’ll have to try that next. On the final mission now. I have absolutely loved this game.
Finally finished my first play thru last night i did every side quest took me 78 hours
I feel ya!! I was tired of side quests. Just got the last two quests.
Jeez man, what took so long? I finished yesterday too, all side quests completed, Gotterdammerung weapon crafted, all hunts completed, just need to finish the last 4 time trials and replay on Final Fantasy difficulty, next to no guides used, and I was at 53 hours. Not trying to be rude, I hope it doesn't come off like that, just curious where your extra 25 hours came from?
@dowatyoudo I did all the hunts and chronoliths as well I watched every cutscene and interacted with every dialogue option
@@oukeith same and my final playtime was around 55 hours
Exactly the same for me 78 hours yesterday, man that ending tho
Ariel blast and Ramuhs circle ability is pretty fun for light enemies that can be lifted in the air
aerial *
Build that I used for final fantasy mode was almost identical with the difference being I used judgement bolt instead of heaven's cloud coz with The Pull of Darkness accessory and very few melee hits or precision counter you get 5 level almost instantly, also you can use diamond dust at the beginning and with and accessory you can use it again in time you stagger the boss
Best combo I’ve pulled off was 141k with Phoenix Garuda and oden. Flames of rebirth, impulse, windup, wicked wheel, dancing steel and lighting rod. Equipped with, the pull of darkness accessory an the genji gloves to help with the combo dps. You could also use the fire wolf Jess accessory for 5% combo dps.
So mine is around 212-250k but it’s doing 2 zenzunkins, I know I spelled that wrong by a country mile. And 2 ultimate moves I’m gonna call them, 1 being gigaflare, tested with other 4 star and it’s all in the same ball park. I ditched Garuda finally using impulse as my main breaking skill, using diamond dust early to give it time to come back before the break. Usually kill the boss with one rotation.
nice it looks like the views on the ff16 videos are picking up
so glad more of my friends have picked up this amazing game
What I do is get the stagger bar halfway with just regular attacks, use Diamond Dust to get the 2nd half almost empty, launch 2 satelites then charge up megaglare to lvl 4 and use Satellite to stagger enemy the use megaflare. Followup with Aerial Blast, Judgment Bolt, Flames of Rebirth and finish off with Gigaflare. Nets me well over 100,000 damage.
Good video. I been waiting for videos on builds.
Nice!
Thanks for the vid! Not sure if this can be done mid game, a large chunk of AP is needed for the cyclone to master it. but thanks for the info
I would recommend Rift Slip for bosses. It allows you to squeeze in a lot of long animation attacks in a single stagger window. I can pretty much burst down bosses from the very first stagger to 0hp, or at least close to 0 because of it.
I just cant wrap my head around how to use it. Any tips?
@@drointhewind480 Rift slip's use is basically cancelling animation of your attacks or to recover from getting knocked down which also slows down time for both cases
you just activate it the same as any other eikon abilities
@@drointhewind480 Like what Mirage said, it's used for animation cancelling while also slowing down time for your enemy in the process.
@@drointhewind480 Offensively it lets you cancel attacks especially those with long recovery frames. So you can chain your next attack immediately. And because of its slow time effect, it extends your stagger window by a large amount. Well depending on how many Slips you used.
Not only can you cancel attacks the more useful feature is it slows time and pauses the stagger bar
I played 50 hours and now iam using ur build. Thank u it's so much fun. Greettz from Germany 🇩🇪
You should save after every fight and instantly reload the savegame. By loading a save file, all abilities are ready again (instant cooldown).
The end game build is pretty good, but I’d change one thing. Heaven’s Cloud isn’t necessary. Just switch to the blade with O and fill up the small amount needed for Zantetsuken. Equip Judgment Bolt instead. Takes an additional 10-20 seconds but the damage output is way higher.
You shouldn't be using LB before Diamond Dust, should be after as the duration will cover other harder hitting abilities. Also Diamond Dust does bring up the multiplier but varies on enemy size.
Does DD not automatically put the multiplier at 1.5 if used on a staggered enemy? Whenever I used it that was the case but (and simply presumed it always was) I never used it on anything that it didn’t. By your comment I must be mistaken, news to me!
@@jaysea838 1.5 on larger enemies. Around 1.3-1.4 on smaller sizes. It goes by the number of hits taken. You can try it out in the Hall of Virtue against Imperial Lancer(Medium/Melee) & Undertaker(Medium/Melee) both are in the same category but their model size are different. That’s why you wanna swap out some abilities depending on the bosses sometimes for even harder hits, like having Earthen Fury against bosses with longer bodies as they’ll take more hits with it compared to shorter/smaller enemies.
@@muhammadabr61 thanks for the tips; that actually makes sense and I’m surprised / impressed the devs thought that much into it. 👍
@@muhammadabr61small 1.5
Medium 1.4
Large 1.3
Thank me later
@@Kabebanger think your small and large are opposite, also hard to determine on just the 3 sizes as the category they’re put in Hall of Virtue isn’t accurate.
For those who don’t know yet, a new patch was released yesterday and we can finally turn of motion blur and adjust camera angle
Game looks much cleaner with motion blur turned off
@@oukeith nah
@SalGoodguy I hate motion blur and chromatic aberration I always turn them off in games
@@oukeith chromatic aberation is horrible but good motion blur can really add to the look of a game, for example i like SF6's motion blur a lot
@@ShikiRyougi05not only can it add to the game, it also makes the visuals a but more realistic... If you just loom straight ahead and spin around not trying to concentrate on a specific object, the things whizzing by in your vision get blurry just like in the game.
Thank you for the icon reveal warning I appreciate it
I do impulse> lightning rod>judgment bolt>zantetsuken>windup>gigaflare. If they live long enough or don't healthgate its almost 200k damage usually. Sometimes i even start megaflare right bwfore stagger so its going too
You can get almost 4x times that with an optimized setup (mainly centred around zan / dancing steal / orb etc) obviously I mean NG+ but even in the first run we were getting considerably more. That’s not to say your build is bad - it’s all about whatever is fun for you / experimenting. To be honest, the 900k-1mil damage output gets quite boring as it basically breaks the game / makes it far less enjoyable.
@@jaysea838 i just dont like spamming zantetsuken lol. And I've found even on ng+ most fights have hard health gates at least the story ones
@@jaysea838 yeah, you can do some crazy damage by optimizing Rift Slip & Cold Snap to further extend the Stagger window, allowing x3 Lv5 Zantetsukens. Personally, I prefer less optimized, but easier combos.
@@jaysea838What's your setup for this 900,000 combo?
About to start a Final Fantasy difficulty run but my end game build on my first playthrough was essentially this except Pile Drive instead of Diamond Dust just because of Pile Drive's shorter cool down and how much damage it does to weaker enemies while still dealing a lot of stagger damage.
It would really help if you showed the layout of the abilities. What's mapped where. As is, people really have to take notes while watching the video to see how you equipped things.
Ditto to that.
I don't like the garuda ultimate, i can't see the enemies once they're within the tornado, making it hard to combo small enemies and makes it hard to see big enemies's attacks.
Hate it, can't see what's going on
for the endgame build:
wouldnt it be better to use garudas eikon instead of wings of light from bahamut? you can still slot the abillitys used in the video.
just curios bc garudas eikon seems quite versatile ( dodge, grab enemies, and pull enemies at 50% stagger to the ground )
Is thendamage number on screen part of the game or added in editing? Id love to be able to have that but dont see it in the settings anywhere
How do pick which attack to use? I thought it randomly uses them..
I clearly missed the notation that stated you can detonate impulse lol.. I can’t say it would fit in my rotation regardless, but it makes more sense as I thought it was severely underpowered coming from such an OP Eikon. It looks to fit well in the rotation noted in this video but we can get close to a mil stagger damage without it so I’d be surprised if impulse could replace anything in the current high DPS lineup. (Having said that, I will definitely give it a shot now)
Even without detonating, impulse does a insane amount of will damage
Detonating when they are orange absolutely melts boss stagger bars and is useful against mobs too
Got any tips on deafeating the chronoliths?
Why do we limit break before diamond dust?
Try lightning rod with dancing steel 😂 not only damages it the enemies (enemy), it melts their stagger bars and you immediately have Zan 5. Easiest way is to cold snap the enemy, put lightning rod on him, dancing steel and then impuls. You can then either diamond dust the enemy for a stagger or repeat the process or wait for impuls again. Then LB (or DD and then LB) and go ham on the enemy, lightning rod again, Zan 5, Gigaflare and Judgment Bolt. This combo melts even in FF mode.
Zan and diamond dust are the most OP powers in the game
This is very similar to my approach build.. managed to get > 900k stagger (> 1 mill overall combo) in NG+. Mind you, it breaks the game once you get the rotation in sync and becomes far less fun.
@oukeith which is why I don't use them. They're boring. I only use counters like heatwave, raging fists, rooks gambit, titan o, Shiva o, amd bahamut o. Anything that requires perfect timing.
Build is okay, but the rotation is off for stagger dps. Stagger phase should be Diamond Dust > Lvl 5 zan > Lightning Rod > Dancing steel (lock on to boss so it hits both rod and boss) > Gigaflare (to finish rod procs and do dps) > into another lvl 5 zan.
One Dancing steel does not fill up to 5 again?
@@ruiolavo2426 If u have the Lightning rod it adds to the Zan-meter så one Dancing steel is enough. Its perfekt for staggered enemies as high mobility cvounters this set up. The placement of LR takes a while but it`s worth it.
@@dagwernerlarsen208 thats Nice then. Thanks
@@ruiolavo2426 Yeah, also that's why you lock on to the boss for the animation. Some bosses have multiple parts but if you lock on to the part (presumably the head) by the lightning rod, it will ensure double dipping all the hits to guarantee the lvl 5 zan
@@mrbobbyellis Lock onto the Lightning Rod, not the boss.
If you arent using Megaflare I would recomend mastering some skills and assigning them to garuda, requires quite a bit of AP for Gigaflare, but garuda is so useful.
Extra damage window on elite enemies, and pulling in out of range enemies so you can start comboing them.
I literally came to comment the exact same thing 😂
I did thatnin NG and now for NG+ i am using megaflare combined with impulse as my main strat for mob fights
That and deadly embrace is just nutty for extra combo windows. Mix that with rift slip and shiva o perfect freeze you can have infinite combos relatively easy.
Do you have any builds that hits more than 200k damage
MY BUILD:
Fenix:
Windup(Titan)/Pile Drive(Ramuh)
Garuda:
Gouge(Garuda)/Upheaval(Titan)
Ramuh:
Impulse(Bahamut)/Thunderstorm(Ramuh)
I can pair giga flare ad flames re birth?
For the spoiler build if i master impulse and gigaflare couldn’t i use another eikon since i am not using bahamuts ability? Maybe titan or garuda for the takedown?
yeah basically. you don't really use bahumut's ability.
You can use impulse, lightning rod, gigaflare, and then limit break and do way more than that
Idk I can’t drop Garuda’s Eikonic feat. That topple at partial stagger is too good.
You can master impulse and giga flare and put them on garuda’s skills
Feel like I finished it quickly 45 hours even tho I did everything except collect the music and fast travelled a still started ng+ for the plat
+1 tip to maximize damage, pop a Strength Tonic before the show ;)
Good one!
Never used a single strength tonic in my entire 67 hour playthrough.
@@Jedimasta_82 It's not a complete game changer but give it a try in NG+ FF mode ;)
Would have been useful to see the Eikons loadout for the end game build. This would have made it easier for referencing and matching.
they should increase the Eikon cap to 4 or 5 if they do a DLC. after beating ng+ i feel like i can handle having more equipped. maybe they could add a function where holding L2 switches back to the eikon in your first slot like the estus flask in souls
Only problem with this is that you'll be cycling through spells on cooldown rendering combat virtually non existent.
@@alastairm.4028 Exactly the limit is there for good reason. There would be no need for combat, especially if you max out every Eikons mega move.
So just be able to spam all abilities nonstop? lol
My dude, I got an idea for a video. A “Before you New Game Plus!”
I like Tornado skill but man I can't see anything. 🙈
My combo averages around 500,000 stagger.
Trinkets
Genji Gloves +1 (10%)
Favor of lightning +1 (18%)
The pull of Darkness +1 (50%)
Almost staggered I charge megaflare....
1. lvl 4 Megaflare
2. Pop strength tonic
3. Impulse (will push into stagger instantly)
4. Drop lightning rod
5. Pop limit break
6. Gigaflare
7. Flames of Ribirth
8. Judgment bolt
9. lvl 5 Zantetsuken
10. Dancing Steel
11. 2nd lvl 5 Zantetsuken
Why not DD to instantly have 1.5 multiplier? Don't see how this is hitting 500k but i dont have the genji gloves yet and i don't use str tonics. I just don't see how those 2 would raise it that much. I can get about 270ish on a stagger and I even get a 3rd Z in.
Ok... so my question is, is the combat like ff 15 or is it like kingdom Hearts? and if like Kingdom Hearts is it like 2 or 3?
The combat more like devil may cry than any other ff game
I can't use lightning abilities on any other eikon other than ramuh
u need to spend more AP to “master it”
Isn't having both shiva and bahamut's feats an anti-synergy? You are either dodging with shiva or dodging with bahamut. You can't dodge with both. Also, you didn't mention megaflare, so I get the impression that bahamut is only there to avoid mastery costs.
Right? I’d probably swap Bahamut for Titan (if you like being able to block) or Garuda (if you wanna take advantage of the mid-stagger damage boost)
@@Jay0hAych Personally, I feel like having more than one of Shiva, Bahamut, or Titan is anti-synergy, because all 3 want to be used as an attack comes in.
I didn't even know that Impulse can be exploded by being used again, that alone warrants a like from me :D
You forgot to show the ability screen bro
where to farm AP? asking for a friend...
nivce bru
We definitely needed more buttons on the controller. Being able to only use 2 abilities per channel is a waste of the numerous abilities.
Yeah, I still don't get why they don't let you use X and O for skill assignments. You have to hold or press R2 anyway in correspondence to whatever button you assigned the skill to. The game recognizes button inputs well enough to where I don't see the problem with R2 + X and R2 + O being skill commands. It wouldn't interfere with jumping or Eikonic feats.
The best combo ive pulled is about 230k damage
Should i Go with Titan but with bahamuts skills in this Combo? Bahamuts guaranteed Skill ist sooooo useless.... And Titan can defense some Attacks ?
What do YOU mean? Or Miss i some DMG with bahamuts If ITS Not the active esper?
Bahamuts is not useless. If you dodge good you can get level 4 very quickly.
My only issue with this game is not being able to create loadouts. It would be nice to switch to a different build on the fly for different circumstances. That way you can make a build for bosses and monster contracts and a build for standard enemies. Hopefully when they release future dlc's for this game they will consider having a loadout feature for switching builds.
i'm still using aerial blast, even though it is TERRIBLE for visibility!
Thanks for the spoiler alert
Currently got 91 hours played and I’m still at 84% game progress 🙃🤣
Using a giga flare in town. 😂 😂
Seriously, I feel like I am in the twilight zone... what is the appeal of Zantetzuken beyond how cool it looks, the damage is ok'ish but you are required to play bad low damage abilities to build it up. The damage you showed on Sarog exemplified this, with all the awesome abilities in this game why handicap yourself, with arms of darkness?
That's why you use Lightning Rod and Dancing Steel in tandem, after a certain point in final fantasy mode you'll get a second copy of Pull of Darkness and you can slap that on and all you would need is Dancing Steel to charge Zentstsuken to level 5
@kiefercher5996 ok and the damage of dancing steel is still low, there are so many other skills that work better in combination with lightning rod, that it still seems like a waste to use dancing steel just to get an OK nuke.
The Tornado ultimate sucks because you can't see sh*T! If you want high stagger, go with Diamond Dust.
Me: How dutch can you sound?
JorRaptor: YES
😊
People who don't master all the basic combat movements in the initial circle, FIRST THING, drive me nuts and honestly, can't even truly be taken seriously.
They're incredibly cheap, and they're literally just standard sword and jumping movements.
You NEED them right away, and for the entire game, to play at your full potential. PERIOD.
The combat in FF16 is better than Elden Ring imo.
Just use the ones that damage the most like it's not rocket science. Why should you take one that's weaker over one thag has way more damage, makes no sense at all.
SMH what u pose to do if u already used the materials needed to make GOTTERDAMMERUNG SMH IVE USED 2 orchalcum and Darksteel needed for it
There more orchalcum and darksteel to collect by doing the higher class hunts like A and S and doing the side missions
I can’t deal with Garuda’s ult…. Can’t see shit.
My highest it's 243k
Daamn whats your combo? I only do 170k by the end of the game on 1st play through.
@Ghanst1519 that was a few days ago now is 403k i got max skills and got the dancing steel max to 50 percent so I can do Two times for arm of darkness
If you just got the game don’t use any off these. Make your own experiment.
There are way stronger builds for damage early btw… spend too many hours in training to know
I don’t think the Japanese know what final means.
Na, just use the necklace which allows you to square button bash while it gives different attacks at random. No build necessary
No game necessary either.
Was going to say this myself. The game's mechanics are basically 'Mash Square'. Lot of visual spectacle, virtually no substance. The story is good, albeit a slow burn, but once I finish the game, I don't really see any reason to keep it installed. There's no exploration, the side quests are a joke.
Also the one that makes you automatically dodge and no attacks needed, just let torgal kill the enemy for you
haters thread. you know you dont need to equip it right if you want to really play a game? 🤣🤣
@@Bateluer - So you've already completed Ultimaniacs Mode on Final Fantasy difficulty in New Game+ with enemies at Level 100?
I played FF16 with only the Broadsword equipped, because it’s too easy. The gear only makes an easy game even easier.
That fact that I tried so many of you builds from some many games. Lol.
Build is highkey mid
Ummm.. "need to use". Not. The game is so easy you can use any build and it's still easy
Me personally prefer simple skill but have cool animations
Don’t care about damage or stagger
As long as it fits to my combo
Peace✌🏼
this game is such a disappointment
This game is barely an RPG. Trash combat. Whole game is square, square square, dodge, Eikons. Trash side quests and rewards. Every person. Playing this game has a the same weapon and armor depends where in the game you are.
This game is only pretty with a decent story.
If your combos are just mashing square, you are playing the game wrong.
@@Jedimasta_82elitist FF always spit the same thing to hate on FF 16 like a broken tape lmao, just let them be
Only fews of them can give a real critism without blabbering the same shit like actual braindead
Yeah because turned based combat wasn't just scroll through menus pressing x or now just turn on auto fight ....
Get out the comments if you hate the game. Go play something you like instead of trashing a game here people love.
How is this trash combat? Pretty much every game has a attack button, dodge and some magic or power lmao. So all other games get a pass? And having finished the story I can def say the combat is not trash. There are a ton of mixes with combos in this game using the different eikons.
Go hate a game on a review vid instead of a build vid lmao
damn this game looks insane
