FFXVI - All as One - Clive calls on the Eikons

- This is one of the most beautiful and emotional moments in FFXVI to me. Clive calling on the Eikons and being cheered on by friends and family as he fights Ultima
#ff16 #finalfantasyxvi #finalfantasy #ffxvi #squareenix #gamer - Hry
Fun fact when Clive’s dad says ‘Onward My Son’ it’s actually a response to the sidequest at his fathers grave where Clive promised him he would move onward with his life. Joshua’s “forevermore” was also a response to Clive saying he would use the phoenix’s power forevermore prior to the final fight with Ultima.
I had not thought of that! Just adds to the emotional part of this scene. Thank you so much for sharing this. I so appreciate it. 🥰
@@kaaliya82
I know, right? The layers to this game!
Clive: "BAHAMUT"
Byron: "That's my boy"
Dion: "What the fuck dude"
Facts lmfao 😂
Guess Dion and Clive didn’t get that close 😂
perhaps Dion isn´t dead
Neither is Byron xD@@davidbenitez9356
@@davidbenitez9356 Jill isn't dead either.
Something about Ultima is when he called on the Eikons he called on their abilities, but with Clive, he called on the actual Eikons.
Ultima sees the Eikons as merely tools to be used while Clive sees them as allies.
I see it more as Ultima calling upon their primal nature, what they were in the beginning, but Clive calls upon their identities, what they’ve become over the long years Ultima spent slumbering. Just like how humans evolved to become their own thing, so did they.
@beastyyz1283 It's also a trope in anime & manga that names have more power. To know the true name of something is to have true mastery over it.
I guess that is why they always shout out attack names.@@umitencho
Makes you wonder how he'd utilize the eikonic abilities of Leviathan after Rising Tide drops. Considering Ultima thought Leviathan was snuffed out centuries ago.
@@umitencho The whole true names giving power thing is a concept *much* older than anime or manga, with it appearing in old Egytian and Greek myth as well as norse and celtic folklore, probably other places as well that I'm not aware of.
Gales unrelenting; Garuda!
Levin untamed; Ramuh!
Earth unyielding; Titan!
Light undying; Bahamut!
Ice unfeeling; Shiva!
Darkness unending; Odin!
Flames Unforgiving! With me, Phoenix! (The only time when two opposing ideals finally differentiate.)
ice unforgiving doesn't really fit Jill tho
@AcousticTinyRats its not supposed too. Ultima is calling upon the powers he made for thier intended purpose and meaning. Clive calls upon his allies and friends changing the meaning of each one to be less a tool and each thier own ideal
@@AcousticTinyRats Even "Flames unforgiving" for the Phoenix is totally wrong, but that was the point.
Ultima misunderstood everything.
Makes this even more awkward when you realize that Ultima didn’t use Leviathans power why? He had it but didn’t use it even through he knows Clive doesn’t have said Eikonic ability.
@calebnelson58 Well, the logical explanation is that the DLC was made after the full game, so Leviathan wasn't added to Ultima because they didn't change anything of the base game.
However, in the DLC Ultima calls Leviathan his "tainted fragment", which implies that he doesn't use his power because humans have been keeping it hidden for almost a century and so he considers it "tainted" and not worthy of being used by him.
It still saddens me that Ben Starr didn't win best performance
Genuinely think he should have. At least he won it in other awards shows
It was probably a close vote between him and Neil Newbon, and even Ben would agree that Neil deserved that award.
@@deathbykonami5487 yeah ngl they were both amazing in their respective roles
It’s okay. He gets to share his love of FF8 forever now.
Notice how he says “with me” only when he calls for the Phoenix ❤
That's cause the Phoenix was always a part of Clive since he received the Phoenix's Blessing when he became Joshua's Shield.
Hearing all of Clive's loved ones while he gets the best of Ultima always gives me goosebumps. Great upload
Thank you. ☺️ Glad you enjoyed it.
It is such a beautiful moment. It made the battle a bit more difficult because my eyes got all blurry 😅😅
Love that Jill calls out *before* the attack! Somehow that feels more than the others.
Joshua’s “forevermore” BROKE ME 😭
Hearing all of Clive's friends and loved one's in this final fight brought a tear to my eye. It really made me feel as if they were right there fighting alongside him.
Such a beautiful moment in the game. To show that Clive is not alone and that he indeed carries everyone with him in that moment.
Most epic fight scene in the games, along with Remake. All the tye Titans against a usurper! Amazing. Hearing Clive's loved ones call out to him in encouragement! Especially Jill's "Together!" Perfect!
They all pulled my heart's strings, but Cid saying _"Go on, lad"_ absolutely *obliterated* me.
I know what you mean
I’ve just noticed that Clive used all the Eikons in the order that he obtained them, outside of Phenix. Clive’s very own Avatar Cycle:
Fire
Wind
Thunder
Earth
Light
Ice
Darkness
(Water)
He had the Phoenix blessing, but he got the Phoenix powers last so it all checks. 😉
Tides unbreaking
Ruins unmaking
Inferno unpurging
Nightmares unpurified
This part of the fight literally had adrenaline rush through my body, especially the Titan clash.
Literally best part of the game and was so worth the wait, the titan fist clash and the Phoenix Flames Of Rebirth attack at the end with the war cry is just everything 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Clash of Titans fists: ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the coolest shit ever. Clive and ultima using all of the eikonic abilities against each other. I was seriously hoping they’d do this and they exceeded my expectations. It’s something I always wanted to see in devil may cry, Dante using all his weapons against a tough or the final boss in a cutscene. I’m glad I got it in ff16 tho :)
Flames of Rebirth!!! (MASTERED)

I fucking love XVI. If you delve deeper into the story and the lore, it’s a phenomenal Final Fantasy game.
Yes. Yes, it is
Clive's will has everyone believing him! I got tear up and fire up!!🔥🔥 The whole clashes I'm like we not alone!
I know people point out the eikons are used in the order they are obtained but they are also used in order of which characters have had the most impact on Clive.
Close Friends in first three and relatives/significant other in the second three.
ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!
One of the best games I’ve played for a while. Loved the music and scenery. This fight was everything. This is up there man
clive's voice breaking screams when he uses the phoenix powers has lived in my head since i beat the game a couple weeks ago. seriously some of the most bone chilling voicework i've seen in a videogame.
it was genuinely great that ben was at least nominated for the vga but i still think he should have taken that home.
Amen to that
Clive the most powerful hero and Ultima most powerful villain in FF currently
I’m curious if this will change with the addition of leviathan in the next dlc.
They did say the dlc will add things to the ending so most likely leviathan will be added and the voice will prob be the person who wields leviathan in the dlc like a friend he makes in it but dies kinda like how cid forces Clive to take the power as he dies
Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people say they might add a cinematic clash, but I wonder where they would do it? Not right after odin cuz that leads into the next transition PERFECTLY, but also having it before his flames of rebirth attack might be weird too. We’ll have to see
Torrents unstoppable!
Leviathan!
(not sure if that's what Ultimalius will say but it's hard to think of good phrase that would be used)
@@charlescaulkins8306 that’s actually not bad. Or maybe “waves unstoppable”. I can’t wait for the dlc dude. Been itching to play the game again
How about "Tides uncascading"
Then Clive shouts Leviathan! And the background for it is the Baby Waljas laughing and giggling to say to Clive "thank you my saviour"
Thank you.
You are welcome. ☺️
We’re all in this together… hand in hand 🎵
🎶 Step by step, we climb through the night to the dawn
Hand in hand, we stride to the light, heaven-borne
Step by step and hand in hand we march on
All as one, marching together 🎶
I love how Clive gets his Limit Breaker by accepting the truth, while Ultima reveals his Limit Breaker by denying the Truth
I wish we would've seen his absorbed abilitoes in cutscenes throughout the story cut scenes as well
Clive had loved ones to push him onward, Ultima had no one.
Water unstopping! 🌊-Leviathan!
Leviathan after the dlc: "SO I GET THE BIGGEST EMPTY SPOT ON FF10 NOW I AM GETTING THE SHORTER STICK IN FF16 WHILE ALL PF MY ORIGINAL BROS ARE IN 16 FUCK YOU SQUARE ENIX"
With the Rising Tide DLC coming. Do you think they gonna change the last fight to make Clive use Leviathan's power against Ultima?
Devs mentioned it would impact the final battle so I would assume so. I have wondered if they will return to the original idea of Ifrit becoming Diabolos. This was something devs discussed while developing FFXVI
@@kaaliya82 can't wait to see what story they have to explain why Leviathan wasn't in the main game.
@@RudyGalebayi-gn3dy they mention it being "lost" so presumably the people inheriting the Eikon's powers either died out or hid away from the world
@@IronBahamut the second theory hit the mark because the trailer show us the party in a new country never seen before.
My guess is that Ultima will summon a massive tidal wave with the words “Depths Unfathomed”
Together!Jill❤
Forevermore!
This game is everything i love@@kaaliya82
I found that wonderful. The others encourage after the clash succeeds. She's saying she's attacking *with* him!
FOREVERMORE
I wonder how the Devs will incorporate Leviathan into this when Rising Tides comes, if they do decide to incorporate it in.
"TIDES UNWAVERING!"
"LEVIATHAAAAAN!!!"
and then they come at each other with two massive fuckin waves and then clive swallows the opposing wave whole like a cool ass fuckin tsunami because hes hench as fuck like that
though that begs another question: who's gonna be cheering him on for that one?
@@frostyprime8110 Could be Murdoch.
I would've guessed "Depths Unfathomed".
It's a very interesting question. I wonder if when they said Clive gaining Leviathan powers would impact the final battle if they also referred to this moment. I am so excited to play this DLC
@@kaaliya82I was in the middle of New Game Plus on Final Fantasy when the Ultima DLC dropped after that, there was no mention of it at all so it's possible that they may not even acknowledge it then again Clive is getting a whole new kit so it's possible they may incorporate it into the final fight
Such a cool game
Gav: Howay, Clive!
Cid: Go on, Lad!
Mid: Give 'em hell, Clive!
Lord Byron: That's my boy!
Jill: Together!
Archduke Elwin: Onward, my son!
Joshua: Forevermore!
0:57 MUDA MUDA MUDA
Just wait for "WATER EVERFLOWING"
Ehh, I don’t think it would be everflowing, all the other words begin with the prefix un. I think ‘Tides Unwavering’ may work better
Yeah that works a lot better. Also do you think the leviathan dlc will impact the ending to the game any.@@JB6GD684
Clive: "Leviathan!"
Though it makes me wonder who's left to call out when Leviathan is used.
Charon, Goetz, or Tarja, and what would they say.
I'm sure it's gotta be Waljas I mean come on, Clive saved him and Waljas expressing his thanks by a single baby laugh would be enough for Clive to overpower Ultima
Since a baby's laugh can overpower any despair in life, kinda like what Clive is facing off right now
Porque estoy llorando😢
Perhaps there is a fight between Hades and Hercules.
Ngl, I was waiting for Ultima to say “Power overwhelming”, then I remembered it was from a different franchise 😂
Aqua Undaunting….
Dare I say peak fiction?
Why not?
Where is leviathan 😢😢😢
Hopefully, the DLC will tells us.
if only ulitma used water he could have won as the mc didnt have water
Anyone else other than me get bullied by this end boss? Only reason I won was cus of save check points in the fight where u get revived at that point with all your potions back. Bit of a disappointment end
why cant ffxiv summoner be like this ;-;
Clive calls on MOST of the Eikons
He used Ifrit at an earlier moment
Where's Leviathan?
Leviathan was still lost when this was done and posted. 😉
@@kaaliya82 I see.
It sure was great of SE to make this game PS5 exclusive so the majority of people can’t play it.
They are working on the PC port. Just have to wait a little longer. ☺️
@@kaaliya82 A year late and counting. It should have day and date on all platforms.
Press square really fast
This scene is so much more than that if you think about it.
@@kaaliya82 I am so tired of these super cinematic games with little substance
@@kaederukawa1123 Little substance? This scene is full of it, if you think of it. It shows us that Clive is not fighting alone l, that his friends and family are fighting alongside him. It shows, just as he says, that he carries his brothers and sisters with him. To me, this is one of the most beautiful and full of depth moments in the game.
@@kaaliya82 I mean the gameplay. It is so shallow, there is no real skill involved or depth. It is a combat system designed for casual gaming, aiming to shock the nervous system with huge dopamine releases. I admit it is truly impressive in terms of visual and sound design, but at the end, it is just button mashing until the next ultra cinematic session starts. The game even rewards you with "cinematic attack" bonuses on screen. It completely defeats what the interactivity of videogaming is, imho.
Clive just anything you can do i can do better Ultimalius
all but water
In
???
Its all cool and all but he deserved a happily ever after. Also I'm kinda sick of protagonists dying at the end of ff games. Jack in strangers of paradise, noctis in 15, clive in 16, and zack in crisis core which are essentially the last 4 titles we have gotten. It can be meaningful and impactful as an ending but it has been overdone.
In fairness, Jack didn’t die. He became Garland. And as for 16, it really depends on the interpretation you give to the ending as devs have said. You can interpret both ways. Who could tell about that last fight so it be in the book, but Clive? He was the only one there.
@@kaaliya82 the end scene of sop is the garland boss fight where the four heroes kill him starting the time loop that exists in ff1. As for 16 from what I saw, it was very clear to me that he succumbed to the bearers curse on the beach at the end of that game.
@@kaaliya82Plus, its so in character for Clive to pen a book in Joshua's name. He took Cids name to honour his movement, and he probably took Joshua's to honour his sacrifice
@@CaptainSherbertTheQuestionableOnly his hand turned to stone tbf, and as we saw, Cid lived with half stone covered hands for years lol
@@CojaGamez id have to rewatch the cutscene but O remember the camera paning away from him as he finkshed turnining to stone.
I wanted to like this fight but it was so mid xD and fire beating fire had me mashing the button with such a lack of enthusiasm. Id have much preferred not having the powers cancel themselves out as you use the same vs same approach.
In german much better
Ultima: STÄHLERNES EISSS!
Posted it on my Twitter account just a couple of days ago. Played FFXVI in both English and German and I love both dubs
first trash XV, now this shit. rip FF
This game still looks awful.
Lol what?
This game was a disappointed overall.
Not as disappointing as your english
But technically, you still admit it is a disappointment :)@@TheOttomatic91
It sucked big time. Second worst FF of all time right after 15
