Which was really disingenuous of them, as she said "from anyone" right away - which includes one sided abuse, which they willingly chose to ignore as it didn't fit their gotcha moment. Very disingenuous.

It is definitely not rare that people are abused in relationships. Usually physically women, mentally men. It is quite often that more than one type of abuse happens and in both directions.
My sister was abusing her husband mentally, he in return, as being helpless(she's psychology graduate, he's ... not), abused her physically. I intervened couple times, nothing dreadful really, but enough to see what's the dynamic. No one was saint there. Don't know how it all started, but it ended up in separation. I haven't asked how they are right now, but they both visit during christmas etc. with their all kids, so seems like they got things sorted out, so it can happen.
My brother got divorced with his wife. Pretty similar situation. They couldn't find common language, she threatened him to cut him off their kids, he pushed her. I know my bro is rather stubborn so I wouldn't be surprised if this was a core of their problems, but anyhow, he pushed her after she threatened to take away kids, which he loves to the death. Dude is working like a horse and spends all his free time with kids. After they split they have quite good relationship and both take care of kids without any unusual problems.
Imo it is rarely one side thing. One sided is definitely the most "interesting" and you gonna hear in news about the borderline stuff, but I don't think that's how it usually looks.
Also, many abuses are quiet, not obvious. Many people allow themselves to be abused due to either lack of options, fear of leaving and living alone, habits taken from home, fear of a partner, fear of "what people gonna say", emotional rollercoaster etc.
Of course there are those hardcore situations with one side being completely terrorized, even to the point of suicide. But I do think that these are relatively rare.
The topic is definitely a gray stuff, no simple one solution to everything.
I strongly disagree with the premise that woman(or a man, but they talked about women) should simply stay regardless of the abuse. It is ridiculous to even suggest such thing, but I get where the guys on the panel are coming from. They are aware of how wide the spectrum is and want to focus on the part where the relationship is actually salvagable to not plant a seed of doubt. Not the best practice, but they clearly have an agenda so..
I do wonder, if Chase's celibate is just no fucking or no cumming at all ? I regret none of you asked :P
That Steve's entering with 3rd trimester abortion was actually brilliant. I was clapping while watching :D
Charlie said something crucial there. When debate is not about finding the truth together but about winning, there is no point talking.

I'm an engineer and whenever I hear people like these guys give advice it makes me cringe. I remember all the idiots who talk about something they don't have any understanding on how it works. They will focus on bits and pieces they hear somewhere that in their own context are true and just repeat them without understanding the core behind it. So they end up using those really badly.
Yes, I think it is important to endure, be tolerant and try your best to make your relationship work besides the potential differences. But only an idiot would take this idea and say it like they're saying it.
There's a big differences between how this would work.
    Example 1:
    - enduring and being tolerant to mistakes your spouse might be doing and you need to strive to work them out together rather than not liking it and giving up. Like your spouse not putting as much effort in the relationship, not doing their part of the chores. Right this doesn't happen once and the relationship is done. Your spouse said something you didn't like, I'm done. No, this is being tolerant and enduring while working to improve them in the future.
    Example 2:
    - your spouse beats the shit out of you every day, you have no power in the relationship, makes your life so terrible and there's no sign of it having any chance of improving in the future
Like do you expect to endure? Why? For what? There needs to be a reason for enduring something, that's the definition of it. You endure it till it's over, till you achieve something.
If there is no sign of anything wanting to change, there's actually no point. Things won't change by themselves and you need to wait.
I'm sure there are cases for people that were in abusive relationships, they've endured and strived to improve them and succeeded, but they probably had that change in sight, the context made it possible.
It's so stupid to make it as a rule to: 'just endure bro, idk why but just do it, it's the rule'
People who refuse to use their brains come up with shit like this

The fact that Melina just left the rope in the middle of the room and the men began wrangling themselves with zero to no hesitation was hilarious and golden IQ on her part. They willingly jumped into that white van going down the pipeline of Fucktardville and told on themselves. She really pulled a Napoleon Bonaparte on them. 💀

The way they brushed off the abuse, and danced around the whole thing makes me wonder. I mean MLD already has reciepts from what Aba and Preach have shown, I wonder what the rest have to hide for making up all the bullshit reasons to stay while a woman or man is getting their
ass beat. Perhaps I could be wrong and they have nothing to hide, but to suggest a woman just endure domestic violence and tough it out, show quite a bit about their character. Along with the fact that they probably never got their ass beat and tossed around by someone far more powerful than them, for them to suggest enduring it.

I can't stand those clowns.. especially that albino "pick-me" that was sitting with them and basically agreed with everything the guys said... she was being such a bitch to you and the others "on your side".. and that girl who kept calling herself "autistic" was also acting like a major "pick-me" and was also really rude and such a bitch to you (and basically everyone else on "your side"). Most of their comments were so uncalled for. They're lucky you guys are more mature than them and decided not to go in on them hard lol. You guys did a great job the whole time tho (in my opinion at least).

Something that should be brought up is that "abuse" needs to be defined. For example, there are court cases where the men are charge and convicted with DV because they pushed the significant other away because they were blocking their exit of the house, or constantly in their face/body to body to get the other to do something physical. The act of exiting the premises of the house should NOT be considered abuse, but if left undefined then people in bad faith will make it what they want to be.
With abuse & cheating defined appropriately, then yeah, unfortunately a divorce should happen. Both is a huge violation of trust and respect to each other. There's no going back.
As always there's nuance, which should be discussed, but it amazes me to see how many people cannot have a conversation in good faith.
Also, I'd like to add to keep in mind that not all (or even most conservative people) and center-right individuals are calling people "whores" or other derogatory terms. Just like those who want government run healthcare, I know most don't want to throw me into a camp because I disagree. I hope you keep in mind there are those of us who prefer to be civil and respectful.

The fact that they went to the repeated percentage regarding who files for divorce more.
    So ?? And ??
Pearl constantly regurgitates that percentage without giving any detail !
Just because someone files for a divorce, does not mean that person wanted, initiated, or was the cause of the divorce!
It’s just so scary that people just take those blurted out stats without questioning !
It’s gaslighting people is all it is! It’s out right skating the details of why the marriage is dissolving I s what matters. Not who filed!
So if 78% of divorces are filed by women , what percentage of that percentage is because of abuse?
Then they tried to say on another podcast that another study showed that women file for divorce with the most common reason being
    “irreconcilable differences.”
Which MLD and Pearl contribute to women filing for stupid reasons.
    Again it’s all the woman’s fault !
These so many different variables, reasons, causes that lead to other break downs , and list goes on that these percentages without detail are really mute !
The used on who files doesn’t mean they wanted, were the cause or initiated the divorce.
And it could mean they are the ones who want the divorce! And in some cases if your the person filing for the divorce because you know even though you love each other and have history it’s just not working, doesn’t mean it’s something you wanted to happen or that it’s easy!
They have made this into some sort of competition when the reality is , is that no one gets married to get divorced, it’s hard, these are peoples real lives, and it’s heartbreaking ad most I believe is caused by the government horrific abuse for years trying to divide the general population any way they can!!
Irreconcilable differences could be mental abuse!
But when that reason is used it doesn’t mean the wife filed because he won’t put the toilet seat down.
It usually means that both spouses have come to a point in the marriage where there really isn’t anything that they have common ground on, can agree upon, on just about anything. Most cases like that would be where a marriage had been deteriorating for quite sometime and it’s really no one’s fault . Just two people who loved each other once and grew apart! Most of those marriages have tried to make it work but just can’t! Shxt happens!
Could be from one person cheating . The other thought they could truly forgive and move in but in the shadows they subconsciously can’t and it comes out in other ways!
They aren’t the sane person anymore now that the other cheated. All sense of wanting to be a good spouse since it didn’t matter apparently when you were that good spouse. So what the sense in trying !
