gallente is a great pick for newer players, they have a number of affordable, versatile, tried and true fits
I would suggest skilling them up first, as a newer player - while you technically have an extra weapons platform to skill up (hybrid weapons rail and blaster + drones) these skills extrapolate to all ships with a drone bay, so will help you a lot when you go to learn amarr ships, and helps moderately well for caldari and mimnitar.
they have great electronic warfare, flexibility, a wonderful t1 hauler selection ... if you want to go industrial gallente is an ideal pick - if you want to go pvp gallente is an ideal pick too, which means if you aren't sure yet which you want to focus on its still an ideal pick :)

Use to play EVE everyday but got out of it atleast 6 to 7 years ago. Want to get back but got to do some computer upgrading. Always loved Gal ships.
If you still want to play, but your pc isn't up to scratch, use geforce now. I used to get 15fps on low graphics, switched to it, and now I get 60fps all high graphics :D
I have a measily 1.3 GHz and I can run eve just fine on lower graphics.

"Fat man" is a type of nuclear bomb I think the reference is to the high damage and dispoablitiy of the Tristans, mutual destruction.
I always thought the tristan kindof looked like the fat man because of its "tail end" just like the bomb.

Algos made me think old Caddy Roof, with B17 gunner bays and a submarine. My favorite want to add nose art to it soo bad.
The Algos designer said he took designs from ww2 bombers the english lancaster I believe and also the drone bays were based off of battlestar galactica.
@@xgenesysx Wow thank you, now I see it. B17 is tipped with gunner pit, and Lancaster has that front end.
@@wolfjarlgrbane5771 welcome bro it’s my favorite destroyer really tanky lots of drones and blaster/rail guns I’ve had times. In an algos where 3-4 frigates have tried to jump me and I’ve ganked them all it’s such a solid destroyer
@@xgenesysx How do you set it up to anti gank. May consider going back to playing but I kept trying to do so. Launcher would load partially then kick me out no one was able to help Might have more than one of the game Epics and Steams launcher.

I would say that if you have help, or you join a training corporation like Brave, Gooniversity, or EVE University you'll have a much easier time of it. Also, join my Discord and ask me questions, or throw more questions here.

Ive been playing off and on for ten years and im not sure I have the hang of it yet lol... but thats the great thing about it. you'll never run out of new things to learn or do in eve.. sandbox of the highest order
I take things one step at a time. I also like to make excel spreadsheets and word docs that I can navigate easily with alt f search command.
If a game has a university and courses to be able to play it...is it really a game anymore or is it a work simulator?!
It's a matter of complexity of scale and satisfying certain minds. Take traditional games as an example. Anyone can play checkers or tic-tac-toe or UNO or Bang! or Settlers of Catan. The rules are simple enough.
Then look to the people who play Magic: the Gathering, Chess, Go, or Hold 'em Poker at a competitive level. There are entire magazines, annual publications, libraries of books, and scholarly research in game theory focused on these latter. Does that mean everyone will play at that level? No.
In the same way, EVE Online isn't for everyone. However, like Chess, and Poker, and Go, and M:tG, anyone can play; they just need to learn the rules first.
Well it is quite complex, though not as much as it might appear. The game has some pretty good tutorials, there are a lot of nice people who help new players, and you don't have to know every aspect of it to have fun (for example you don't have to learn how to run a corporation if you just want to fight). But yes, you do have to invest yourself in it more than the average MMO.
Let me get this right.. you need to take courses in order to be effective in this GAME?? Isnt it supposed to be not a job?
'Need' is a strong word to use here; however, that said, I think most people would benefit from studying the thing they want to do before they begin.

I have shown my friends this, many times but I still can't get over the fact that you call them space liberals, when they are obviously capitalistic and I thought liberals don't like capitalism? So in turn wouldn't that mean they aren't liberals? Not criticizing your vids as I love them and have for years it's just the terminology is a bit confusing there.
Show me a liberal politician anywhere in the world who isn't friendly with big business, or a conservative politician anywhere in the world who isn't cozy with racists or autocrats, and I'll gift you with a custom video on EVE Online.

I would like to mention first that the liberal politicians putting restrictions on business owners and also trying to raise taxes on the wealthy because "they have more money then others" isn't being very cozy with big business owners as they normally are the wealthy and the restrictions our last Liberal American president put on big businesses are also what chased them away from America and convinced them that putting their American started businesses into places like Singapore and China and so on was a good idea because it was to costly because of this restrictive legislation to let their items continue to be made within the USA. It even got to the point that the consumers of America started to wander if anything was made within their country. So yeah lol I'll do some more research for you but hey no harm in giving you food for thought while you wait. I guess a name for a liberal politician who wasn't cozy with big business owners was Obama. If that isn't evident to you by the massive unemployment rate in America during his presidency then I am not sure I can convince you regardless of what I say.

@@redpillpatriot4739 By saying 'space Liberals' I meant that they were socially progressive and far more in favor of things like legalization and decriminalization of recreational drugs, licensing and protection of sex trade workers, etc. Gallentean society is extremely permissive and capitalism all about regulation and taxation.
@@JuriusDoctor see most of that I can agree on. The only thing that isn't true is capitalism being all about taxation. Capitalism is all about the free market and trade. If anything capitalists hate taxes and believe they shouldn't exist as taxes are evil and they put strain on every level of society. Where as in a liberal society they push higher taxes as the rich politicians feed off of it by lining their pockets through legislation and they don't seem to understand that the lower the taxes the easier it is to collect and the more of it they will get, why? Because if you get rid of business restrictions and lower taxes that means there are more people who have jobs which In turn means more people paying government taxes but instead a liberal government puts restrictions on business so in turn jobs close and employment rate drops so less taxes come in as less people have jobs so the liberal mind set is to raise taxes instead of lower restrictions and in turn makes the working person even more poor then they already were. If Gallentean society really is a liberal society that would explain the large amount of highly poor citizens of their people and why they are so good at creating distractions to keep the poor peoples minds off of the fact that their politicians are corrupt as it's a very social based Society. This is why the story that explains this faction says the biggest punishment for the rich is to become social outcasts. So lol no capitalism isn't into taxation.
