I love helping new bros. Simply because if the new bro doesn't leave the game, and doesn't get frustrated he might become an old bro whom I will be able to hunt in spooky space :)
Oh and my tip is: Train for the fit first, not the ship. When I first started I kept training for bigger ships, but I couldn't fit them properly, so I ended up with a battlecruiser with small guns and crap like that. Train for the fit, not the ship.

In my opinion, just go for fits is not totaly accurate. I'd recommend to go for stuff in the following order:
      - If you are in a corp, train into the easiest corp fleet ship.
      - then up to cruiser or even battleship of your corp faction in Case they offer such ships as well
      - a basic fit for at least a cruiser from your corp
      - up to cruiser/battleship of each faction because it can come in really hand
      - modules and fittings for your corp faction up to best possible on normal corp ships
      And then whatever you please
Note: this is Just about ships and fits, Not about any other Type of skills you might need.

I just have a short term goal, figure out what ship I need for that goal (usually its a goal like "be able to rat in j-space" or "max out gas huffing skills and get a t2 gas huffing ship", so I find a fit, train for that fit, then buy the ship. Always in that order. Actually before all of that learn how to use the fit lol.

It's like you said "You need to take break from it!"
I took a looong break from EVE, approx. 3-3,5 years. Before I started up again nov-2018.
Since then I've been more focused about what I want with the game. Found a great corp. That's helping me out a ton.
A good, friendly corp. Is THE most important thing in EVE. Playing EVE always solo, is just a mind killer and you WILL leave EVE fast. Just the last mont I've learned a ton and I'm well on my way to understand the game more then I would ever do solo.
So with this video, with that multi buy and multi fit:) That will cost me alot of ISK though, but what's ISK, if your not going to spend it on a ship that's going to be blown to pieces:)
I really liked this video, so keep up the good work and have fun:)

Still a good video in 2019. Something I have really noticed here lately is some people's total reliance on fitting layouts. I ran into a guy last week that had been playing since 2010. He honestly had no idea how to fit a ship without going and finding a fit online. I asked him why he was running a particular module and he had no idea why or what I meant. The only thing he knew was "that's what the fit from eve uni had" Don't get me wrong. I'm a member of eve uni and they have some good solid fits and I've been playing since 2004. I use the method you showed all the time but I am shocked at people out there that don't know squat about fitting a ship. You brought up the mastery part of skills and that is important. That really let's you know why you are fitting certain mods in certain places. I'll stop ranting lol. Again great video still today!

Also, I discovered last nght that if you click on the ? icon at the bottom-left of your bar (on the left of your screen) it opens the Eve University. A lot of baked in videos and tutorial information as well. I've been learning a lot just between that and videos like this one, which by the way, is a great video. You are free. There is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it.
The problem is you have to be self motivated. If you can't motivate yourself to do something in EVE nothing else will. It is not a game for the type that have to be told what to do. You are the boss, you make your own rules.

good vid, but I would argue there are easier ways to make isk for #2. ratting for example. station trading is to variable and requires constantly updating your knowledge about the market. It also has the potential to empty out your wallet much faster than the occasional t1 frigate loss.

Hi Bebop, Great point! However, station trading is much more scalable you can only earn so much from ratting! But you can earn billions a day from station trading.

Pretty nice tipps I do have a few gripes tho. Like what's the Point of having the fanciest ships and lots of other stuff when it's just sitting around because you don't wanna loose it?I know I'd be that way; not wanna loose what I've been grinding for for so Long. I generally don't take too well to random PK-ing.I'm generally not into PK-ing outside of dedicated PvP Areas/modes. As for trading with Players, sounds good to get lots of ISK that way, tho I don't trust myself with getting good Prices for stuff tho. When it's about Long term Goals, I like to have one. Tho in most cases where I have played games, that Goal usually was tied to a narrative of sorts, mostly being to finish the Story of the game. Emergent gameplay has very rarely kept me invested for Long because it felt rather boring to me without a central narrative. I'm also not one to seek contact with others in games. If it's not a dedicated multiplayer game, I prefer to Keep to myself. THat's because I've mostly played singleplayer over the years and contacting other Players feels very awkward to me.

I totally understand what you mean. I played Eve solo for two years and I had a blast. It wasn't until I finally got in with a good corporation (RDRAW) that the game got extremely fun. It was faction warfare PVP with an amazing team. Together we took down titans and faction super carriers including a Vendetta. There is nothing like dropping a Dreadnaught on an enemy and doing 60k dmg a shot. Don't be afraid to lose ships. That's just part of the game. Just don't put all of your isk into ONE ship. Frigates are extremely effective at PVP and t1 cruisers (Vexor) hit way above their weight class and allow you the opportunity to make tons of isk on PVE/PVP action. Get out there and have fun. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything. zkillboard.com/kill/63138708/

@@eveexpertguides995 It's just that for someone like me, a game that relies so much on community and emergent gameplay is pretty much the opposite to what I've been used to.
And at this point, I do think of staying away from the bigger corporations. For one because I feel more at home being all on my own - even tho it probably makes me an easy target for pirates and such - and because I don't want to be pulled into something, like it happened with the members of CO2.
I also don't really want to take part in faction based PvP - or any type of "random" PvP. I just wanna go on my own thing in peace. I know that's asking a bit much in a game like this.

To be honest you don't need a super computer to run eve online - It's very friendly on graphics cards BUT the graphics have aged extremely well (they keep them regularly updated). I have been absolutely stunned by the amazing scenery in Eve Online. Right now there are 25,000 players logged into the game AND they have the Alliance tournament happening today which is basically where 'professional' eve online players compete against eve other. If so, then click on the gate (gate after you warp into the mission) and hold , the gate will present you with a radial menu, choose "activate gate" .
