      When you’re mixed, it’s a lot easier to say half than breaking it down into 8ths or %.... also you don’t always inherit exactly 50% of each parents DNA, so percentages are hardly ever exactly half but we call it half anyway.

    "Is Steak N Shake a staple in the midwest?", Oh Ryan Steak N Shake is nearly as common here as Walmart. 99.9% of towns here in Indiana has one.
    Speaking of what Indiana has, I'm pretty sure my town I'm currently living at has EVERY SINGLE ONE of the restaurants on Shane's list. The midwestern is strong in this one.

      Steak N Shake is also all across Illinois. Of course Chicago has everything, but once you get outside the magnetic pull of the big city, Steak N Shake reigns supreme (it was founded in Champaign, IL, btw). And it is pretty good.

    As someone who grew up in the midwest, Shane's list made me very happy. Especially Steak-n-Shake. I also love Jack in the Box, but I think the one near me is particularly good because I've been to a few weird ones that I didn't like as much (the bacon and swiss buttery jack is unmatched)

    I think I'm glad that this show was featured after homemade. Homemade was great and gave you all sorts of mixed emotions but this show just makes you laugh at Shane and Ryan's antics. Its very entertaining and funny. Even if this show doesn't make the cut for a season 2. I'd like to see a show similar to this with all 3 of you just bantering back and forth about random topics.

    jack in the box is actually SO good. the fries are fire and the burgers are always higher quality’s than almost every other fast food restaurant other than in n out. the shakes are also soooo yummy

    As someone from Georgia, I will say that Culver's and Steak n' Shake are far from just Midwestern items these days. Steak n' Shake is in every decent sized city in Georgia that is near an interstate, and Culver's is slowly entering Georgia since a few years ago. In terms of the chicken wars here in Georgia, my personal preference is Bojangles>Popeye's>Church's>KFC

      Same in Sweden. I've heard of Wendy because of Twitter and Taco bell because of drunk people, but otherwise it's only McDonalds.
      We've had McDonalds, Burger King and Subway for ages here and in later years also KFC and Domino's. But our local pizzerias and grills are usually better. As well as our hamburger chain Max.

I guarantee there are 50 other restaurants that have better food around any of these fast food chains, but you can get a burger in like a minute at mcdonalds and eat it on the way home. No sitting required. And it's a fraction of the price. Although I have heard that mcdonalds and other fast food chains are better in europe than in the US because corporations haven't destroyed your taste buds or your bodies yet. Something about higher standards.

In fact, his food looks amazing, street good tastes great and the ducks definitely aren't small. As he himself and others pointed out he's not changing the price because he wants to continue serving food he loves not for money.
      That said if you want a piece of the duck you better line up 2 hours before the shop opens because it's hugely popular. Any Michellen star restaurant is.

    Culver's is honestly the best fast food place I've ever been to. Great food, and amazing ice cream and concretes. The founder personally inspects all the locations to ensure the experience is true to his original vision.
