wonder hussy, wonderhussie, wonder hussie, wonder hussey, wonderhussey
The ministry of tourism should give you a medal for advertising these places.
What's amazing about California is even though 40 million people live here, there are still countless acres of pristine wilderness, mountains, parks, forests, lakes where you can go and be by yourself in a quiet place alone. California is still the greatest country on Earth.
As someone who has lived here for 32 years, I certainly agree with you 😊
Every time I fly to L A coming in from the North East it seems like
This vast world of sand and rock.
Then suddenly nothing but folage homes buildings and cement. All the way to the pacific
Ass water...😂 Thanks for taken' us along! Nice views!
Thank you for supporting the beautiful California while the Republicans try to diss it because they want it.☮
@@tomrinde4487California has 342 miles of public beach, some the most beautiful in the country. I could never live back East because there is so little public land.
The Eastern Sierra is amazing! FYI: The radio telescopes are there in the valley due to minimal local radio interference because of the mountains, not because of the lack of light.
When I was in the antelope valley astronomy club we got to go on a tour of the observatory and went inside of the big one and heard the signal from voyager 1that was amazing
WonderHussy smells like a old tacklebox.
The Crowley Lake Columns would have been a great setting for your former photo modeling days. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us mere mortals!
2025 calendar
@@suzanjournagan1112 great suggestion!
Maybe a calendar shoot for next year's calendar
The Devils jism lol ..almost chokes on coffee 😂
I think we all choked a little bit! 😂 Well at least it was coffee and not the devils stuff!!!!😊
I have never liked mayonnaise. Going to call it that from now on.
would make a great Yelp review for the food truck "best jism I've ever had"
She has plenty of experience with jism.
@@residentpotato6023 How?
"I'm a mermaid in a sea monkey castle." I freekin love that!
Thanks for going the extra mile picking up trash during your explorations.
I'm, literally, reliving our adventures through this video. Even the trash picking, which I taught my daughter to do, every time we go on our adventures. Thanks, Wonderhussy!
"Now hold on there, I'm not a perv, I'm a hot springs hunter!" Made me lol
A very smart talented lady. Love her "Yondering ways". Drop dead beautiful to boot!!!!
Formation
The pillars were simply regarded as oddities until 2015 when geologists from UC Berkeley realized that they were the result of frigid water from melting snow seeping down into volcanic ash (the result of a catastrophic eruption more than 760,000 years prior), creating tiny holes in the hot ash, the byproduct being boiling water and steam, which then rose up, creating convection cells, which later filled with minerals more resistant to erosion than the surrounding volcanic ash.
Always love the history you give us of each area and how you present such current account of events historically and geologically. 😊
You explained the columns just fine.
Once I was driving in Panamint valley and I turned on the radio and they were playing Offenbach-infernal Gallop, the Can Can dance, I think it was part of their regular song rotation, not a special event. That really was special!
The same people upset about the sign are the same people that would file a lawsuit if something happened to their family member.
Not necessarily.
Just like your comment. Not necessary.
Not any more or less necessary than this comment thread, Matthew.
Those columns are the strangest thing I have ever seen. Totally cool. Thanks for sharing!
That lake was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen!!!
Thanks W. H. 😊
Happy 4th everybody remember safety first thank you Sarah
I think she secretly has a box of skyrockets, she’s gonna light off on evening of the 4th 😂
Hey Ms Huss, love the columns at the lake!! There awesome 👍 My God what did we do before you came along? Watched Huell Hauser I guess...🤔 but he didnt go nearly as many places of abandoned cabins or mines? So thanks for being the new pioneer woman that you are!!! We just love you. Happy Independence Day to you and your sister, plus all who read this as well. 🇺🇲 🎇🗽🧨🎊
@BOBBYBEL-mg4iy Well if she does that's fine....if she doesn't that's fine too. At least others can read the comments, you sure did. 😆😜
Yes, the columns do remind of Venice. Beautiful. Thank you for giving us a tour. If they allowed camping there would be a lot of trash, and probably vandals knocking down some of the columns just to see them fall.
The Long Valley Caldera is a BIG caldera, close to the largest they have ever seen and have not fully documented or realized yet!
I was just up that way fishing. Crowley has great trout fishing. But the place is so packed you can walk across the boats they are so close to each other on opening day. It does get cold up there and I have fished on Crowley in late spring and snow was still falling on the lake. Thanks for the sweet video. Oh yes one more thing, June Lake also has fantastic accomodations to stay at and nice camping spots for RVs. Fishing superb too.
Crowley Lake is one of my favorite places to visit in the Eastern Sierras. My dad took me there the first time I went, so it holds a special place in my heart. There is a great BLM campground right across the highway and it is so close to so many hot springs.
I love your video's , helps with anxiety , I hate my job and would love to have the Time , Money and Creativity to wonder Hussy all over the place ....I'm jealous .
Good on ya, SJ! Any lesser hussy would have just brushed past the telescope area provisions and shot video regardless… but as always, you honor and respect this big playground we live in - while turning in an unexpectedly awesome, informative and leech-free experience 🎉 May better asada fries and fewer stinky beer cans be in your very near future! Thank you for being exactly you!
Has the company that makes your ranch water reached out to you and offered free product? If not, they SHOULD!
Howdy Sarah! Stay safe young lady, thanks for taking us along😉👍
AND you got in another perfikt Aussie accent. So much talent in such a tiny frame 😂
YAY the old Wonderhussy is back. This is one of the most uplifting and entertaining videos you have ever made. I'm glad you chose to stay the course and provide us viejitos with boundless limitless enjoyment!!!
Wow, Thank you for sharing your awesome adventure ! those columns at the lake are beautiful , and the perfect time of day too 💕
Fantastic video and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you, Sarah!
You make a person feel like your only talking to them ..so charming.. beautiful ❤️❤️ nice work .
Thanks Sarah, another super positive fun romp in the Eastern Sierra. You should be getting paid for this promotion of California tourism. Love ya
Love your adventures. Thank You for taking us along.
Just an FYI a radio telescope does not depend on a lack of light pollution as they use radio waves, not visible light, to investigate astronomical objects or events.
I was thinking the same thing 🤙🏻
Jodrell Bank UK bigger.
Your energy is amazing! 😊
I take it back. we barely missed you at June Lake Brewery on that Friday. Kind of left when the girl guitar what's playing and talking about how she travels on a budget and works on farms to do it 😂!
I absolutely love your videos Wonderhussy and absolutely love you...❤ thank you so much for sharing your adventures..✌❤😊
Amazing find. Been fishing at Crowley and June lakes but never knew of this natural wonder.
Another great video! Amazing! Thanks for what you do!
Very Cool! 😎 I love the columns at the lake! Awesome video!
It is awesome seeing you enjoying an adventure; Always stay safe...
The US has the best natural beauty (Wonderhussy) and some beautiful scenery too 😁
All the places are Beautiful, When you get there !!!! Nice places,
have a great day
So peaceful at the lake.
"The best Devils Jism I've ever had", had me double over in laughter. But not being a connoisseur of said Devils Jism, I won't judge, but take your word for it..!!
Thanks for the great explanation of the Owen’s Lake columns, almost inverse stalagmites, fascinating.❤👍👍❤
Those columns are so cool!
I recognize the spot! I was there 10 years ago, I remember it well. Good soakin' 😀
Wonderful video Sarah beautiful place
Crawdads ok, leaches not so much. That would keep me away. 😂
Probably to deter tourists from the local party spot 🎉
Always say there are leaches.
Crawdads pinch. Don't want your parts pinched by a mudbug, now do ya?
Just gorgeous views and happiness thanks for sharing ❤️
Amazing video as always ,,love everything you share
Thank you for another awesome adventure you have an amazing life stay safe 🎉
I love the desert. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Needed this today. Staying home with my poor little dog after he hurt himself yesterday. 😢
Hope your dog is ok. Huge dog lover.
wishing him/her a speedy recovery . . .
Looks awesome
Fantastic content!!! I've done a lot of similar exploration in the eastern Sierra and Mohave desert in the past. Too bad we never crossed paths. I'll continue to watch. Thanks. Keep it up!!!
Wishing you the best , stay safe 🙏🏼
Thank you for showing a beach aint seen one in a long time.peace....
I drove Highway 6 to Bishop and down 395 just a few years ago. I had been watching your videos, so was thinking of you as i drove the desert.
Thank you for this presentation.
that pillar place looked like great place to rest a while as long as U leave no trace U were ever there
I Love your videos Wonderhussy! Thanks for sharing I would sure like to check out those columns myself.
Interesting adventure.
Haulin -ass and carne asada fries! Out in the middle of nowhere; enjoying summer sunsets too!
Down in the southwest on some of the hiking trails in the canyon country, cairns are arranged to mark the trail along rock surfaces so you don’t get lost and can find your way back.
Great video love the editing!
This was facinating.
Really nice video, Sarah. I do hope you get in contact with the folks from CalTech's Owens Valley Radio Observatory -- I'd love to see it in more detail, and they just sound like cool people, don't they though?
Great 🇺🇸 stuff 🇺🇸 as always 🇺🇸 👍
Thanks for sharing…!
-> Thanks, WH Sarah, for introducing some of us to asada fries; I even bought some yesterday!!🍟 More & more places have them, I noticed.. 🌵🏜️☀️🌡️ Stay Safe & Enjoy the Day, as well as 4th of July, Everyone!! Divine Angelic Best to ALL!! 🐴😻🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼🕊️👼🏻🌄🌞
I love you channel since3 years. Go on Sara. From mexico
Love this video .. thanks !
Sarah I think it's balanced rock coulombs more than cairns that hikers object to. A few years back you'd see youtube videos of people building them sometimes in places like the narrows in Zion. If I recall correctly the Nat Park service didn't allow it. Cairns are OK when they are way out in the wilderness as low 4 or 5 small rock towers to indicate where the trail goes. Trails there are often not developed and can be hard to find.
Miss Wonderhussy, beautiful area where you were. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Try the June Lake Loop too. Beautiful setting.
I have been reading Roger Deakin and OF COURSE I thought of your channel because you do kinda similar things. I hope you will visit more waterways than just springs. Probably so many places no one has ever seen! This video is venturing in that direction. I hope there is plenty more to discover!
My Granny used to own that resort/ pool, at the head of the ass water springs.
Awesome video
Cool vid. Been up and down the eastern sierras a lot this year. Stopping at 'Ass Spring' haha occasionally. Camping where ever in the small toyhauler and riding the TDub all day. May have went right past ya! Thanks Wonderhussy!
June Lake is awesome ! I used to snowboard up there.
Interesting place (Crowley Lake)..Nature is the best artiste.
Well in September I will be up there and will try both.
Huell is Grinning ear to ear. He is very proud of you
Sarah got one little detail incorrectly. The location of those Radio 'Telescopes' are in that location, not because of the zero light pollution there, but minimum /low terrestrial radio interference.
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤......
Solid shirtcocker reference!
Every time I see a random cairn I add a stone and giggle. Cairn vs Karen lol
Get an old microscope and look for amebas on a slide. FUN!!
1st
love your stuff, never change for anyone but you!!
Great video ❤😊
The proper name for rock cairns is inukshuk. The Inuit of Northern Canada made them as direction markers on the tunrra
Personally I wouldn't save fries for later. They are Infinitely better fresh and hot.
--> ❤ Love your adventures, Wonderhussy! Make sure to watch out for them, dang rattle-mouth cotton snakes!!! 🐍
Beautiful lady, can I just tell you that you have a beautiful soul! Thank you again for going to such awesome places! Your badass! Mother Earth protects you, because you always clean up. People are disgustingly selfish leaving their trash everywhere, but don’t fear WH will take care of it! Thank you! I wanted to tell you be safe with the beer cans, in your rig! If you got pulled over, the cops would think they are yours, especially within hands reach! Please be safe! That was so beautiful, and informative. 💜
😋Two hour old Asada Fries, just right for a medium sized bear😂 Have a great time rambling over the summer
Bear or beer. Which did you have in mind ?
Thanks!
I had a girlfriend in June Lake in 1982. Lived in Toulumne Meadows in Yosemite NP, in a NPS Maintenance tent cabin at the entrance to Toulumne Meadows Campground. Rode a 500 Enduro routinely at night over Tioga Pass and talked to Ferdinand, the gatekeeper, who was always greeting people at that hour.
