Great video as usual bueller, just recently picked up that Spider-Man 101 for 60 bucks at half price books
Absolute love this series - informative and makes me psyched when you hit on a book I happen to have as well. You could probably do a second series on this exact subject - could add the iconic #50 (he quits, with the cool cover) and 97/98 - no code issues. Anyway - GREAT video - keep up the great work. I KNOW this is alot of work with the research and getting the books out. thanks for sharing!!
Gno yeah this could be a weekly series with all the great Spiderman books there are. I just don't have them.lol Do you have any of the Ditko spidy's?
I have alot of early spideys (issues 5-20) but none yet in the 30's, etc. I really want the 2 you showed...great books and super historical. Not sure of the data, but I don't know how many 9.8 ASM 361 exist - the reason being there were the little production tears on the bottom and many of them had god awful centering. No joke - had 46 copies, sent in 28 of the best ones I found - granted this was b4 I knew about pressing (duhhhh) and 14 came back as 9.2, 8 as 9.4, and 6 as 9.6 - and these were untouched by human hands. Might have been a regional thing.
Great video, only books I had was ASM 361 and ASM 73 😅. Really enjoyed watching this, keep up the great work!!

As a complete newbie.. with no knowledge of comics...I picked up the asm #38 at a con signed Stan Lee CGC 4.5 .. purely because I like the cover and cos I've always wanted to own a silver age Spiderman. Possibly spent overs... It had likely gone up since your review.. but I'm glad to see you have it listed in your collection.. makes me feel like it was a good buy
I'd like to get hold of something similar but higher grade.. in future

Comics with Bueller no I dont have alot of the earlier Spidey books.. I think my earliest is from the 9/11 issue. I'm tryna finish that series.
thats cool, the Spiderman run im working on now is Peter Parker Spectacular Spiderman 1-200. Only about 15 away from that run

I wasn’t the biggest Spidey fan so I only have a couple of these. My cheapskate ways have denied me a lot of these even though I’ve seen them reasonably priced 30 years ago.
Oh well... the hunt continues!
Metarog I like my books cheap, I think the most I spent on one book last year was $40 and I was cringing at doing that. Got to find those bargains or im out
Great stuff Bueller! Spider-Man has always been one of my favorite characters. I've done very well at buying the exact issues that never really went up in value! :-P

No, I don't have any of the books you showed in the video, but they're on my wish list! Most of the ones I do have I got new in the 80's and maybe late 70's.
thats a great time period for comics. Most of mine were from 79 till 1992. but the 80's were my go to books

I'm an Omni boy now. Used to have the baddest floppie collection and sold it off during a bad time and boy did I get ripped off. Twelve hundred for four long boxes and I had classics. Now I'm doing the Omni thing and don't care about going up in value, just to read. But thx for the video and showing this stuff off. Have a great day.
Thanks Comic Guy, I love the Omni's for the older DC stuff because I have very few of those books in my collection. Just picked up a Justice league Omnibus the other day and im really enjoying that one

Comics with Bueller there isn't any in my collection if I'm honest I love Spiderman and the 60s Spiderman in particular and have read them all thanks to marvel essential but don't own any most of my collection is DC
Thats all good, yeah most my stuff is marvel but I am trying to even that out. I would say its 80% marvel and 15% DC then the rest others. Next year I would like that to be closer to 65% marvel and 30% DC But honestly its all about just having the funds to get the goods you know
Comics with Bueller totally understand what you mean mate with the funds so many silver age etc that I want to pick up on both sides 👍 I think I am about 20% marvel with my daredevil, Elektra & captain britain and about 10% indie

I got the first appearance of carnage book when it was new. Not knowing it at the time, I gave it away to a kid. Now I wish I had them all back! 😢

This was great and all the older Spider-Man books just keep on rising in price. From those my goal would be to get the first punisher.
Thats a great goal and a pricey one at that. You know I always just hope I hit a garage sale or a GoodWill store at just the right time and buy a box of Key books for almost nothing. I can dream right lol

Yeah those last 2 books are up there. Don't think I could even come close to getting a graded copy of those. the early Ditko books are still affordable raw, but I see those spiking very soon.

im pretty new but my uncle gave me a lot comics you mention. but i hav a question about the first venom. i have a 1988 copy with a barcode on the bottom left and not a spiderman face??!
The barcode is considered a newsstand copy. Those are more valuable to collector's. Very nice book to have my friend.

my buddy has the one with the first appearance of venom on eBay for 450 graded at a 4.5.
there are 3.0 graded selling for 500 or more
ASM #300 was the last Spiderman book I ever bought. Never been read.
I have a 4.0 ASM #19 but that’s it haha
I've checked every shop in my area, and nobody has spiderman 300.
Mile high doesn't even have it on the website.
Nice books but out of my range. Lol. But i go to libary read it....
FYI; #300 came out in 1988 not in the 90’s 🤦🏻♂️

I'm going through my Spidey comic collection and I have ASM #361...BUT I WROTE MY NAME IN IT AS A KID!!!!! ON THE COVER AND TOP OF PAGE ONE!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😱😭😱😭😱😭😱😭😱😭😭😭😭😭😭I want to go back in time and beat kid me up!!!!!

How much for ASM #300 mint signed by Todd Mcfarlane?
First thing, love that you have it signed by Todd McFarlane, im a big fan of his and have met him a few different times. His wife Wanda was my History teacher in High School and Todd would come and talk with some of us students and talk about comics and stuff. So back to the book, a couple questions first, is it a graded book(CGC, PGX, or CBCS) and is the signature verified by a third party? both of those things will effect the value. I can tell you a friend of mine had just sold a raw copy for $500 and it was a extremely nice copy. I have seen them sell on eBay for around (and this is sold price) $600-$700 raw NM. But if your looking at a book that has a potential to get a 9.8 if it is graded then this book would be the one I would get graded. because that value graded copy of the book sell for thousands. If im not mistaken I don't think CGC will verify a signature if they don't witness it, but CBCS I believe will verify the signature. you might want to look into that, im not 100% positive. hope this helped out a bit G_Man21 have a great rest of the weekend my friend.

Nice Spirit Comics, thats a great book. I picked up the True Believers one that came out not to long ago to use as a reader copy and just to look at the McFarlane art again. I know there are just a countless number of Key Spider-man books out there but do you have one thats not on this list that I should be looking out for?
Comics with Bueller I have no idea. I'm not familiar with the concept of "key" books. I just read them cause they can be fun. I occasionally buy some back issues from the 70's and 80's.

I think the Amazing Spider-Man 121 and 122 should be included on the list. It shows his greatest failure.
How can you say issue 37 came out in 1967 then say issue 40 came out in 1966? 🤦🏻♂️

Well the good news is there are a bunch of Spiderman books that are great and dirt cheap. my local shop has 4 long boxes of Spiderman books all for .50cent each
And 300 came out in the 80s. Not the 90s. U don’t seem to know much my man.
